According to PlanetQuake (http://www.planetquake.com/) Quake 4 has gone gold and will ship on on October 18.

Quake 4 looks pretty good in my opinion, and I can't wait to see if Raven has cleaned up the Doom 3 netcode to support massive deathmatches.

seems too much like ut03/04 and not enough like q3 imho.

Hopefully it's not another Resident Evil spin off with cool graphics like Doom 3 was. I pre-ordered it with my XBOX 360.....along with Call of Duty 2! :D

I am looking forward to this one, mostly because Raven was involved, and they know how to tell a decent story while mixing up the action. Of course, my only problem is I need a new PC to run it. Heh.

Raven for the win. Game Informer gave the pc version a good review. I'll be holding out for the XBOX 360 version....can't wait!

PC gamer gave it 70%
Ign and Play mag around 81%
Game Informer 87%

Its not appealing to me at the moment (though that might be because i've heard almost nothing about it).
What is it suppsed to be? Single player, multiplayer? Q3 style deathmatch? UT style sport?
Quake Wars looks good, but that is a seperate game right? So I'm not really sure where this fits into the whole scheme of things.

IGN seem to be saying that its nicely done, but concentrates mostly onthe single player, so the multiplayer is nothing special. And that although it all looks very nice it doesn't really do anything new or innovative and actually feels a little dated.

Hey, you guys know a JKA mapper named Rgoer got hired to work on Q4 because of his mapping talents? He posted here a few years ago when he was making JK2 and JKA maps (before he got hired) He had psycho talent... :)
