This is going to be a pretty big game and im just going crazy because it will come out one month after US in Europe

Let me see if I got this right in single player all the planest and space will be accesible, but in skirmish you can either play on land or space, but not together. Right??

They say that you have full control over were you want to attack and when to attack, that sounds like one big skirmish scenario with many many planets Right??

Sorry for bad writting im from Denmark, actually im a Kurd from Turkey

That's correct. Skirmishes will be just like skirmishes in other games. It will be either land or space and be one large area.

You have it right with the skirmish. You can either choose land or space. As for the single player campaign, you will have control of a Galatic Map in which you can decide where to attack and when. You will first have to control the space around a planet and then the ground portion.

Say what?

How does it work exactly?

Ground: make units then send em off like other RTS games?

Space: wtf, if there is no galactic map, how are you going to fight in space? Don't tell me you you pre-make your army and send it off to battle!

I was hoping to have the galactic map! I mean it's not that hard imo. Just place a special mark if they're allies or foe (planets or fleets that are stationed). I was looking forward to playing 4v4 or even 1v1 vs my mates! A 4v4 or so is 5 planets/player. Ain't bad is it?

We don't really know exactly how the ground/space skirmish will work. But we are sure that it is either/or not both. They will have a multiplayer campaign, which is 1 on 1, and most likely you will be able to select the size galaxy you want to fight in.

we all played galactic battleground or any other rts

in skrimage, as i understand. all 4 players will be on the same planet (or space) with your own base in each corner, with a factory and bericks to make reinforcements.

I think space and ground skirmishes will work much like Rome: Total War.

Select the units for your side and their side before hand and then go to battle. The main reason I think this is true is that especially in space there are no factories to produce more units instantly and there shouldn't be. That should be done through the galactic map interface.

The same pretty much goes for the ground side I would assume because when a force invades they don't set up a factory on the ground before they attack the enemy. No they land in invasion craft and start securing the area. Also petro mentioned reinforcement points, which leads me to believe that the attacking force would be able to find different spots on the map to recieve backup units via shuttles, but none would be produced. As in, if you only bring 5 units to attack a planet in your fleet and your initial attacking force is 5 units, then reinforcement points will mean little to you, although possibly there may be reinforcements from a rebeling planet's inhabitants, but it's doubtful that you would control them except in the galactic conquest mode.

I have no idea how the defense of a planet would operate. I'm not sure if factories will be producing units or not. I honestly would be surprised if they allowed production in battle while on ground, and if they did allow production I feel it would likely be limited production. This don't really think this is an RTS of the Age of Empires cut.

In space you have space docks and construction yards so you can biuld new ships.
So im more likly to agree with shadowsfm.

Indeed you do have space docks and shipyards, but does the attacking fleet? Do they bring their own shipyards with them to battle or build them before moving in? No.
Your attacking fleet will be the exact force you created in your shipyards at your home base. And in the heat of battle I would be VERY surprised if any shipyard could produce a Star Destroyer on demand in just a few hours time. Thus I think the Shipyards for space and the factories for ground are virtually irrelevant except for the attackers to damage or not to damage (in other words raid without bothering really to take the planet, which would be a nice thing to include, but I don't know if it will happen)

I would hope petro would have a different setup if you were confined to one planet, wich we are still not one hundred percent sure of unless petros said it some where I havent read.
