Question on sig

How do i put a image in my sig? without it just showing the link?

If you're using the one currently linked to in your sig, Jmaster3265, I hope you plan on sizing it down. Otherwise it won't go.

Keep sigs below 80kb and try to keep them around 120x500 or less. Though the dimensions rule isn't official, it's common courtesy to keep sigs reasonable sizes.

Obi-Wan is correct with the [IMG] tags.

Just a small correction: 500x120, where 500 is of course the lenght.

You insert them manually (i.e. type them in) around the address, like obi-wan said. If you're using photobucket, just cut and paste the IMG field into your sig.

Make sure it's the direct link to the picture. Also if you typed one of the tags or the url wrong it will still show up as a URL.

Okay, I've added the image tags in your signatur and tested the url.

Seems to work fine, but you should get the image resized.
Atleast 1/4th the original size.

Going to remove the url from the tag (that pic is huge :D :p ), but I'll leave the image code for when you have gotten the image shrunk.

ok can anyone create a pic for my sig. cause im a bad modifier and i cant seem to find any pics and when i try and put one in my sig it doesn't work.

if yes then a rebel thrawn theme.

The way I put mine up is having the there but inside it when I went to the pictures properties and it shows you a URL if you right click it to copy it or you enter it in manually paste that URL in between the

Ok, i got it to work can anyone resize my images though except keep the snickers one the same size?

Here, download the GIMP (http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/) for all your image editing needs.

To resize an image, right click to open the toolbar, and then got to

Image -> Scale Image

Then just input the width or height. You only need to insert one: the other will automatically re-adjust so the image doesn't stretch out of control.


Oh, and dude: please only one sig image, eh? ;)

Well you can't have all 3 of those pics in your sig jmaster because it exceeds the limit of 80kb. The last one is over 100 I believe so it should be OK if you include the first and second pics at a reasonable size of course.

I sugest adding a sticky for Avatar/sig request.

Kinda like the Swamp and Ahto. I didn't want to start the thread in case you guys (the mods, that is) didn't think it was needed yet.

I think, though, if you build it, they will come.
