EndorBatlle mission2(knock down executors shields)

Greetings for all, here is a rookie pilot seeking advice:

I've done everything possible to take down the executor, I finally gave up and used unlimited ammo and invulnerability (I could survive, but not get enough fire on it), angled on top of it to get the two turrets firing automaticaly and kept double firing the punny concussion missiles at it (verified with alt-n and they were hitting).
Even then I can't take it down before time expires! I've tried taking its front shields, generators,ordered my Xwing-wingmen to engage generators components, everything!

This is on hard setting, with the 2.02 patch installed.

Hard setting is the exact problem... it's too hard. It's really easy in medium. Just go for the Shield Generators and then target the bridge.

I've set the difficulty in medium and had no problems after that. It seems that on hard setting the generators can only be taken down after the shields themselves are down!

I've finished the game on saturday, and even with the drab ending I feel like playing it again from the start, to get some extra bonus and reverse some situations where I ran away like hell (Like saving Dunari's Dreadn on the attack on the Hurin base mission).
