You get another module - Yavin Station. It's small, but the merchant there has a crap load of great items, worth every one of the 5000+ credits you pay for them.
The interface is also better. Point and click is a wonderful thing.
And of course, who can forget that the graphics are better?

Oh, and then there's mods. W00T for mods!

Plus you can make or download mods to enhance the game. :)

KotOR on PC is definitely superior to Xbox. You have mods, cheats, Yavin Station, and (if your card is good enough) better graphics.

While the PC does seem a lot better, you can get Yavin Station on Xbox by downloading it from Xbox Live.

I have a quesion that's been bouncing around in my head for a while: Since I have K2 on the Xbox already, would it be a good idea to buy it for PC so I can use mods?

Definitely. Some of the best mods for the KotOR games are for TSL. Take the USM, for instance; that mod alone is worth getting it on PC for!
