If it's bothering you i'll just take it off, or find a way to make it so it won't automatically appear each time i post unless i click a box.

Rogue15

well, despite the size, do you like the picture? I'm trying to get good at making funny ones. check out some on my site:

*reads Spaff's sig*

ugh... I need to play Day of the Tentacle...

Rogue15, yup it's too big. If you want to have an avatar, I suggest that you take the head of a character, instead of a screenshot. It wouldn't look good in 70x70 resolution anyway :D

As for a sig... if you really want to have an image, I suggest one in a banner-like format. Don't make it too big (in resolution AND kilobytes) . Think about the 56k modem users or those who browse the web in 640x480 or 800x600. They don't want a picture filling up their screen.

ok. I still am in the 'Rogue Squadron 3d funny pictures' business, so i could make one funnier than that one and smaller too. hehehe.

Well, you need to make ones that are funny for obvious reasons. Not ones thatyou need to explain why they are funny. :D

what would you consider spam? i've been posting to replies that aren't mine. and i haven't posted anything offensive either.

Sherack Nhar
07-28-2001, 05:20 PM
Here is the definition of "spamming": Sending numerous and or unwanted and disruptive amounts of messages NOT related to the topic.

Is that clear now? Your thread was about if your imagine sig was too big, remember? Don't post if your message won't contribute to the discussion that is taking place, even if you are the one who started it.

Another thing that is considered spam is posting a large number of useless threads that could be combined into a single, more interesting one.

Rogue15
07-28-2001, 05:26 PM
oh. ok. i'm so used to posting stuff not related to subject. very short leash this is.

Sherack Nhar
07-28-2001, 05:40 PM
I know, but the goal here is to have some intelligent and rewarding discussions, not some kind of chat. I'm glad that you understand that!

Tie Guy
07-28-2001, 08:58 PM
Never go to RS.net then Sherack. The day we stay on topic over there is the day hell freezes over. :D

Plus, isn't this the "OFF-TOPIC" forum.

Sherack Nhar
07-28-2001, 09:15 PM
Off Topic Forum means that you can discuss things not related to GB. Not that you can post trash (sorry Rogue15) like "Goodnight guys!".

Rs.net is different. Lucasarts made it clear that these are the Premier GB forums, so take them seriously.

Now that it's understood, move on.

Rogue15
07-28-2001, 09:21 PM
oh. yeah that's right. i did see them at lec.com. lol now i look stupid in front of the authorities. I guess they'll have to take me out back and flog me for my misbehavior.

Tie Guy
07-28-2001, 09:23 PM
Ok, sorry Sherack, i just get a little sarcastic at times.

Clefo

Either that or they'll shoot you when you buy GB. Those software guys can get pretty testy

Tie Guy
07-28-2001, 10:04 PM
Maybe they'll raise the price above 30 dollars so he won't buy it.

I could always cry and punch the electronic boutique manager in the glasses. and throw myself on the floor and start banging my head chanting 'battlegrounds' 'battlegrounds' 'all i wanted is battlegrounds' 'your prices suck' 'your prices suck' i'm sure they'd feel sorry for me and just give it to me.

WHY FLOOD CONTROL!!!!? WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? oh well. i guess it's to prevent spammers.

Rogue15
07-28-2001, 10:21 PM
why can't i delete my own messege?

Tie Guy
07-28-2001, 11:14 PM
Ignoring your other 2 posts, flood control is good, but it should be 30 seconds, not 60. JK.net does it right.

Sherack Nhar
07-29-2001, 12:49 AM
To delete your messages, click the edit button...once there, make sure you check the "Delete Message" checkbox and then click the Delete button to its right.
