Feature transfer error

i bought a copy of empire at war and tried to install it. after i put in the 2nd cd i got this error

Component: Game_files
File: f:\GameData\data3.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

anyone know what this is and any possible fixes?

Make sure that any anti-virus software is turned off when installing. Also, you have put the route as f:\Gamedata - but surely this should be f:\Programfiles\Lucasarts\Empireatwar ?

this happens during installation. i think that mayb theres something wrong with the cd? i retried with the anti-virus off and no luck. PLEASE HELP! I"M DYING TO PLAY THIS GAME!

Could be the cd or your cd drive. Return the game to the store for an exchange. Also the F: drive is your cd drive right? (it didn't default to a different letter)
