After the strict rule of Revan, Malak, his apprentice, was defeated and he soon sought another apprentice to whom he could channel the Force through and train.

"Turn on the turbo thrusters!" Lionel screamed at his astromech droid that was wheeling out of control around the floor behind his seat in the pilot cockpit.

The Droid managed to slide it's way to a control panel as two more engines lit up in the back of the ship, a smuggler ship 'Jettison 8'. The other female jedi walked up behind him and sat in the co-pilot's chair, strapping in. "Alright, lets get this trash compactor moving," she said calmly, her fingers dancing around the controls.

Lionel pressed a small blue button as a small joystick flicked out from the console. He took control of it as 'Manual Override' was heard overheard. He pulled up as three sith fighters appeared behind them, firing on them. Several shots blasting the shields, a rippling effect happening on the green pulsing field.

"Get to the laser turrets! I can't go into hyperspace with these bastards on our tail!" He said, just as a big blast hit one of the engines, knocking it out as he jolted forward, smashing his head onto the console. He was obviously not strapped in. He shook it off and wiped blood off of his busted lip and strapped himself in.

"Got the Cross of Glory in the Mandalorian Wars, and again in the Jedi Civil War. I don't think he'll turn on us." Said the Republic officer as he walked down the concrete hallway of the Republic prison. It was a cold and dark place located in the Corusant undercity. It was the Republics most secure prison.

I awoke to the sound of silence as usual taking a scan around my poorly lit cell. Concrete walls, one durasteel door, sink, bed, mirror and a hole in the corner. It has already been a couple years, and the isolation was starting to get to me. Day after day I would spend my time sleeping, eating, excercising, and then contemplate killing myself before I slept yet again. Atleast the droids would bring me a new book or holovid every other week, which allowed me to keep my sanity until now.

The faint noise of footsteps echoed outside my door. It was time to eat, that would give me something to do. There was a crack, and the my cell door screeched open. To my surprise it wasn't a group of combat droids holding a bowl of substandard food. Instead in the doorway stood two Republic officers, grinning at me. One held a document in his hands. Taking a glance at the heading it read, "Certificate of Pardon".

"Kedran Avadax, we have a proposition for you..."

"It's a deal, I'll do it. The Sith are a menace and I'd rather not spend the rest of my days in this prison." I replied to the officer.

"Very well. Hunt them, and kill as many as you can. Especially the two we specified. Do it for the Republic." The two officers turned around and headed out of the my cell, the door closing behind them. I studied the datapad he handed to me. It showed pictures and descriptions of the two I was suppose to go after specifically, then a bank account number. Minutes later the door opened once again, and a group of droids escorted me out. Relief and joy flooded in me, I would see the daylight once again. Only to bring darkness to those who deserve it.

Lilah Erron raced to the turrets half angry, half fearful. She didn't like the Jedi and she didn't like the Sith and that was why she left. She had left with her partner Lionel a gifted Force Adept. She took up position in the turrets and strapped herself into the seat and prepped for a bumpy ride. She relayed through the comm, "Turrets online and ready to go. All systems are go."
She then swivelled the turrets and began to target the nearest fighter. She opened up to a battle meld with Lionel and blasted away. She could read the frustration in Lionel's thoughts and sent an annoyed reassuring feeling. She continued to blast away and knocked out two of the three fighters that had been tailing them. She saw the third lurking towards the hyperdrive. She swung the turrets and with careful precision, she blasted until she got him. She then sent over the comm, "Our tail's free you can make the jump."

Meanwhile, in a deserted desert in Tattoine, Aven Kar crawled through the hot sands, searching for his target. He looked in his scope again, aiming his state-of-the-art sniper for where the runaway prisoner fled. This prisoner was a dangerous one. He was an ex-jedi who still kept his lightsaber so he would know the skills of a jedi. But the republic hired Aven to stop him before he could tell the secrets to the Dark Jedi. Aven didn't really care about that, as long as he gets his fine payment, 80,000 credits. He looked carefully through his scope..... Nothing.
Suddenly, he sensed something behind him. He jumped up, just as a purple lightsaber came flying right into the sand. Aven Kar backflipped so he was facing the prisoner, pulled out his lightsaber and stabbed it right through his back. The prisoner fell to the ground where Aven cut off his head and put it in his backpack. He turned on his jetpack and flew up into the Tattoine air, and quickly flew to the Republic prison, not too far from there.
"Here it is." Aven said and threw the dismembered head on the service desk. "Now where's my 80 grand?" The clerk took a sack of money and gave it to Aven. "Thank you for freeing the world of..uh.." The clerk looked at the paper on the desk. "Gan Fraden. But you have another assignment. " Aven looked at the paper that the clerk gave to him. It read....

Aven Kar,

I know that you are probably the best bounty hunter this galaxy has seen in a long time and the Republic needs you. Two enemies of the Republic, Lionel Derk, and Lilah Erron are on the run. But you won't be doing this alone. I have also summoned the help of a prisoner/former RCOF agent named Kedran Avadax. He is very powerful like you and with his loads of heavy weopons, and your sharp-shooting skills, you two will be able to fidn the enemies in no time.

He smirked and nodded Lets blow this joint He typed in a few keys and pulled back a rather large lever. The ship lurched like a beaten kitten into hyperspace. As the ship sailed through the sea of speed lights and a bluish tunnel, he unstrapped himself and headed to the turrets just as Lilah was getting down from them.

"Nice job out there.. Did they hit any internal systems?" He asked, walking past her and into the next room, checking his face in a small mirror. He was in the medical bay. He rubbed the spot a little with his right finger as his finger was engulfed in black twine as he moved it across the wound, sealing it up quickly with no residue.

03-02-2006, 02:45 PM
"All systems are go thank you," Lilah responded. She was rather miffed with Lionel but then again, he wasn't always the best person to get along with. As if there were such a thing. She went to the cockpit rubbing a burn on her that she didn't notice until they jumped into hyperspace. She pulled out a salve and began to rub it in. As she rubbed, she felt as if she were rubbing memory back in and remembered why she decided to leave the Sith. She ignored everything around her and just sat in the copilot chair rubbing the salve in. She sighed and closed her eyes.

03-02-2006, 04:10 PM
He walked back to the cockpit and leaned over her chair, folding his arms on the back. "I think that burn'll heal," he said, yawning a little and spinning her chair around as he walked around to his and sat down. "We'll be getting out of hyperspace in minutes, better get ready." He strapped himself in a typed a few buttons into the console.

03-02-2006, 04:57 PM
Lilah opened her eyes and stopped rubbing. The burn was actually healing during that time she was meditating. She rolled her eyes as she strapped her crashwebbing on. She began to check the systems to make sure they were functional. She decided to play dumb and asked, "Where are we going again?"

Coronet, Corellia

"Why am I being rushed out of here?" Senator Gan Flask demanded angrily. "I was in the middle of a very important meeting! Is it an assassin?"

"One that scares us all, Sir," one of the security guards answered. "Annika Venn."

"Who?" the Senator snapped.

"Not technically an assassin," the guard replied. "Former Jedi, former Sith. Both sides hate her, but neither side will touch her. Republic can't touch her because she's too damn fast. She operates under her own ethical code. Apparently, you've violated it."

"How?" the Senator wanted to know. The guard to his left was decapitated and the guard to his right was stabbed through the heart, both injuries done by a hazy green lightsaber blade.

"Don't play a fool," Annika Venn told him. "You know very well how you've violated my sense of justice. You're a thief, a liar, and a traitor. Don't deny it."

"Traitor?" Flask gasped. "What?"

"The death of your predecessor was your doing," Annika told him. "You know it. Perhaps you regret it now, but that's understandable, seeing how you're about to die yourself. A more fitting candidate for Senator of Corellia will take your place."

Before Flask could say anything more, he felt a sharp burning sensation and gasped. Slowly, he looked down to where Annika's lightsaber had been driven through his heart.

"Justice has been given," she said softly. Then shouts alerted her to the fact she'd been seen. She demolished the nearest outside wall with the Force and leapt out, dropping onto the top of a passing tour bus. For a long second, she stayed lying there, grinning. Her timing had been perfect. Then, she sat up, putting up a hand to ward off at least a little of the wind caused by flying so fast. It was time to be moving. Using the Force to aid her jump, she landed atop a nearby building. After admiring the view for a second, she turned and made a series of leaps that brought her to the cantina where she'd get payed for what she'd done.

Nothing was better than serving justice than getting paid for doing so.

Aven sighed, walking around his ship, the Thorn. He walked over to the pilot's room. "Sev" Aven called the pilot's name and he turned around. "What is it, boss?" He asked.
"It says on the note that we are supposed to meet the RCOF guy at Alderron, where the stolen ship's course was headed to. The highest possibility is that they will be heading there. That will end them." After speaking to Sev, Aven walked back to the main room and sat down. He took out his sniper and opened it up. He took a special battery out from his backpack. A special weopon for a special kill... Aven thought and put the battery in.

03-02-2006, 06:14 PM
((Think it's spelled Alderaan... bummer they're not coming to Corellia, but that's not a big deal... seeing as Annika won't be staying long :) ))

03-02-2006, 07:21 PM
Ave walked back to the pilot. "Oh, did I say Alderaan? I meant Correlia.." And AVe walkd back to his seat.

03-02-2006, 09:43 PM
"Prisoner 0959, here are your only possessions before imprisonment. Now, step unto the the turbolift platform. It will take you to the surface. After that you will be free to go." The droid barked. They unlocked my handcuffs and took them off. The droid then handed me a diamond shaped medallion, the only irreplaceable thing that I had ever owned. I put it around my neck with the medallion resting on my chest, and began to stroll down the concrete hallway, increasing my pace as I went. I've had enough of this prison and wanted to get out.

A bright light filled the turbolift as the doors opened. It temporarily blinded me, and took me a moment to adjust. Showing the effects of spending years in a cold dark prison cell. I recognized the sorroundings immediately, the Corusant slums. My old hideout was in this area, hopefully I could remember the code.

I stood infront of the doorway for about 3 minutes trying to remember the code. Finally the door opened up. The room was pitch black as a I walked in, the lights came on bringing a grin on my face. Along the walls were all the weapons and gear I would need. There was a chest of red lightsabers on the floor, my souvenirs of the war. Though it was best not to take one with me, they're for chumps anyways. I changed out of my blue prison uniform, and put on more fitting "work" attire. Combat gear and boots, along with a long black coat. Good for carrying many weapons. Then finally I strapped on high quality medium armor around my body.

After an hour of getting ready. Packing various grenades, and all my other gear, there was no more point in staying any longer. I wanted to get started right away. Jump back into action, I've waited long enough. Before leaving, I disassembled the aratech sniper rifle and placed the parts inside a large case. In the corner of my eye, I spotted something as I walked out. Another datapad laying on the floor. Must have missed it on the way in. This weapons stash was my secret, wonder how those Republic officers found out and planted the datapad inside.

"Hello Kedran. Now that you're fully suited up, we will fill you in more. You are to go to Corellia and team up with a very skilled bounty hunter. The Sith are wreaking havoc and we need all the help we can get. Not to worry, you can trust this one, we've paid him well. A ship just for you is waiting at Dock 357AC3. Remember, if you try to make a run for it, we will have our agents and bounty hunters on your tail before you know it. Maybe even Jedi, if we can persuade them to. Do not waste time."

"Great, bounty hunter scum." I said to myself and headed out the door.

03-02-2006, 09:51 PM
He typed in a few keys into the console as the ship jolted out of Hyperspace in the Corellian system. "Corellia, that planet is swarming with life, the Force. There would be no way for a Force Sensitive to track us, Dark Jedi, that is," he said, turning to look at her. "Are you alright? You seem.. distant.." He spoke, the ship slowly being dragged down into the atmospere of the planet.

03-02-2006, 10:55 PM
Annika entered the cantina and went directly to a table in a dark corner. A small creature sat there completely covered in a black cloth. A burly human male sat next to it, acting as a bodyguard and announcer. The man glared at Annika for a moment before saying, "Annika Venn."

"Ah, Annika," a strange voice croaked from beneath the cloth. "Had you failed, you would not have returned. Gerrod, transfer her payment."

Gerrod glared at Annika again before taking out a small device and playing with it for several seconds. "Done," he said. Annika took a tiny chip from her belt and glanced at the reading. She nodded.

"Good," she said. "Should you require any other jobs, you know how to contact me."

"I also know your code of honor," the creature replied. "You wouldn't want any of my other jobs now."

"It's for those jobs I've considered killing you," Annika said. "But you pay well and even a Keeper of Justice must have money. If you have any more good work, don't hesitate to call me."

"You are done," Gerrod snapped. Annika smirked and nodded. Then, she rose and left the cantina.

03-03-2006, 07:05 AM
As Ave landed on Corellia, he looked around. "No sight of the RCOF guy. But man, this is gonna be annoying." Ave sat down and started wiping his scope, waiting for Kedran. He looked through the scope. "Good.." He said to himself. He aimed in the distance. "Might as well test out the new battery without the scope." He said and fired.
"AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ave heard a scream followed by many others. "The cantina must be near." He said and headed to the place he shot. When he got there, he saw a small creature covered with black cloth on the floor dead, with many people standing around him. "I didn't do it." Ave said and walked over his dead body to get to the other side.

03-03-2006, 11:39 AM
Lilah was rather annoyed but wary of the question, "I'm fine it's that I'm tired of the dark Jedi and the light Jedi. I'm not backing out on my decision. Well, I feel that there is no dark or light. Bah, I'm just thinking. Such thoughts are unbecoming."
She turned to her consol and said, "I'm uploading the approach vector to the slums of Correlia. That'll do for now."
She was not anxious to voice her thoughts and she cursed herself for revealling a potential weakness that could be used against her. While Lionel had been her partner, she never fully trusted him or trusted anyone. Too long it had been with the Sith. Too long.

03-03-2006, 12:09 PM
Lionel turned on the brake fins as the ship drifted towards the slum sector. A voice came over the console. Docking codes accepted, prepping landing pad. Lionel sighed a little, shaking. "It's a trap.." He said, concentrating, using the Force to aid in his assumption.

03-03-2006, 12:59 PM
Annika was heading back to her ship when she sensed Force users nearby. "Not unusual," she murmured thoughtfully. But here, something was different. A small, beat up cargo hauler flew overhead toward the slums. That was unusual. Annika knew that such a ship was generally flown by autopilot and left unmanned. Curious, she headed in that direction. A few moments later, she stood, back against a wall, staring at the hauler and waiting for someone to leave it.

03-03-2006, 01:19 PM
The ride to Corellia was peaceful on the junker ship that they provided me with. I made a mental note to steal or buy a better one as soon as I got the chance. Finally the ship touched down at the docks and I gathered my things and left. Unfortunately Corellia was a planet, and it would be difficult to find this bounty hunter. Perhaps they meant it so he would find me. Before I excited the docks I made a quick stop at the refresher. It had been a while since I've been able to use a decent toilet. As opposed to a hole in the corner.

A man soon entered the refreshing room dressed in regular civillian attire. He blocked the doorway to get out, and it seemed like it wouldn't be moving.
"Hello Kedran, I am aware of your release and I am going to avenge my masters death." Oh great, a Dark Jedi. Atleast this would get the blood flowing again. It has been a while since I killed one of their kind. Good thing this one was making it conveinient and making it so I didn't have to do the hunting.

He drew his red lightsaber as I dropped the sniper rifle case to the ground. It would be foolish for me to draw blasters in such a small space. The infidel would probably be able to deflect the shots anways. I would have to engage him hand to hand. He shot his force lightning at me, but my reflexes allowed me to roll out of the way. He swung at me back and forth with the lightsaber, but wasn't quick enough. I was able to dodge every blow that he attempted to strike at me. Every time he missed I was able to score a punch or kick in, wearing him down. Finally in a desperate attempt to finish me off, he attempted a poorly placed one-handed overhand strike. Which allowed me to grab his hand, making him unable to use his lightsaber. He struggled with my superior strength, thanks to the implant and years of boredom in prison. Then in a final blow, I ejected my armblade with my right hand and buried the blade upwards into the man's neck. His body went limp and fell the the floor. Another servant of the darkness is dead, and the galaxy a step safer now.

"One down, thousands to go." I said outloud, while reaching down to pick up his lightsaber. It made me chuckle a bit, another lightsaber to add to my collection always brought joy to me. Better get out before anybody sees, so I picked up my sniper rifle case and headed out unto the streets of Corellia in search of the bounty hunter.

(sorry for the long posts, still introducing my character in a way)

03-03-2006, 01:22 PM
((Nothing wrong with long posts... I've had some at least twice as long as what you just did :p ))

03-03-2006, 02:11 PM
"So certain yes," Lilah muttered and her slender fingers moved over the control consol. She was doing something and muttering a strange litany under her breath. She sent the acceptance code for docking and continued playing with the console.

03-03-2006, 02:29 PM
The ship slowly landed on the platform. Lionel was hesitant to get out because of his assumption, but he decided to anyway. He grabbed his beat-up jet-black robe and slipped it on, walking out onto the boarding ramp and walking onto the pavement as several small droids slid to the ship and began repairs. He took a deep breath of the Corellian air. He coughed a little, finally smelling and breathing fresh air from the difference of the spice and moldy smell and air of the Cargo Hauler.

He waited for his Lilah to appear beside him. He knew something was going to happen here, but he wanted to stave it off for as long as possible.

03-03-2006, 04:26 PM
"Nice ship," Annika called to the young man who'd just came out of the hauler. She pushed herself off the wall and walked toward him. "A little suspicious as a hauler like that would generally be unmanned and would not come to a place like Coronet, even the slums."

She smiled slightly. "All in all, though, a nice ship... could use some repairs, I see. So you're running from something." She eyed the young man critically. "Based on appearance, I'd say you're running from Sith, yes? You left them, right?"

Then, Annika's grin widened. "And you've brought a friend. How lovely." Still, she had made no move for her lightsaber, though it was in plain view hanging from her belt. "So what made you two run? I'm sure it's a quite interesting story, but this is really no place to talk. If I know the Sith, they're after you like a starved kath hound. Follow me."

She spun on one heel and stalked away from the hauler. Several feet away, she turned, seeming slightly impatient. "I know what you must be thinking. No, I'm not here to kill you. Come along. We'll have a chat in a safer area."

03-03-2006, 07:23 PM
Hesitant to reach for his lightsaber, he slowly followed, Lilah following in suit. "Make one false move and i'll strike you down, stranger," he said, following her.

"One question. How did you know that, and who are you working for..Jedi?" (As in calling her a Jedi, not asking her who she's with)

03-03-2006, 07:53 PM
"There are a few things you should know," Annika answered, continuing to walk. "First and foremost, I am not a Jedi. Second, you should really be clearer with what you want to know. How did I know what? That you're running from the Sith? That there are two of you?"

She laughed slightly. "Being this near to two such Force adepts as yourself, it is difficult for another Force adept to miss. And as for how I knew you're running from the Sith, I was once in a similar position, though I seem to have fared better than the two of you."

She stopped and turned to face them. "Actually, you may have heard of me. I think the Sith may still tell stories of my escape from time to time. I am Annika Venn."

03-03-2006, 08:20 PM
He stopped dead in his tracks. Annika Venn? he thought to himself, looking her over. She compares to the tales.. He blinks a little. "Why do you approach us, Annika.. do you wish to help us? Or capture us.. for credits..?" He spoke, his hand resting on the hilt of his lightsaber.

03-03-2006, 11:25 PM
When Ave got to the inside of the Cantina, he walked up to th bartender. "Can you give me a record of the ships that landed here recently?" He asked. The bartender looked at him strangely, then grunted, then pulled out a datapad. "I'll tell you. . . For a price." Ave grabbed the bartender by the collar and picked him up. "TELL ME IF YOU EVER WANT TO REACH THE FLOOR ALIVE!" Ave shouted, gripping tighter.

"Okay, I'll tell." The bartender could barely breather, right when he was dropped. HE held out his datapad. "Okay. First, the usual import ships. Next, your ship. Then, A ship that belonged to Kedran, an RCOF agent. Then, a ship that carried two former siths, former jedis like Annika, a person who comes to this bar often. Then, a group of Dark Jedis!" The bartender looked at his datapad more carefully. "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!" He shouted. "AN ARMY OF DARK JEDIS ARE INVADING! EVERYONE GET TO THE ARMORY AND FIGHT BACK!" Suddenly, the whole croud ran one direction, and came out with loads of weopons and armor. "Man." Ave said to himself. "I thought this was gonna be a peaceful kill." He loaded his sniper, turned on the battery, and ran to the main hallway, where the dead body still layed on the floor. 'Reputation still the same.' He thought and aimed out the window.

He saw a whole lot of things that caught his interest. First, he saw the swarm of Dark Jedis. Then he saw Annika VEnn, with the two people he was after. And after that he saw Kedran chasing after the Dark Jedis. "This will be lovely." Ave said and fired a shot that went throught three Dark Jedis' heads. "The anti-force battery is working good." He fired some more shots, and the Dark Jedi swarm started to split.

Ave jumped out the window and landed in front of the swarm. He pulled out his lightsaber. "Your'e all going down." HE said and started attacking a Dark Jedi. Meanwhile bullets were flying all around him as the malitia of drunk people from the bar. IT was a battle.

Suddenly, more ships came in, and republic troops jumped out of the ships. The sky turned to smoke and there was chaos everywhere. "STOP!" A repulic general said. "We are all here after two people." The shooting stopped and everyone turned towards the two runaways, who were in the middle of everyhing. Ave and Kedran aimed their weopons. Annika stood in front of the two, and the republic, dark jedi, and bar armies all stood around everyone.

"We force you to surrender." The republic general said.

03-04-2006, 12:45 AM
Lilah looked up in the distance and saw lights in the distance. She nudged Lionel, "Looks like they caught up with us the schuttas!" She had her hand resting on her lightsaber blade but made no move to grab it. She stretched out with all her senses and saw that they would be in for a rough fight if they stayed on that docking ring. She motioned for Lionel and Annika to follow her and she made a swift movement and deemed to disappear in the crowd. Using almost all her energy she stretched out her perceptions to include Lionel and Annika until they found a place to remain undetected. When they arrived in an abandoned apartment quite a distance away, Lilah relaxed her deceptive technique. The ordeal had drained her of strength that she collapsed on the floor in front of Lionel and Annika. The last thoughts before she saw black was that she had shamed herself and had shown weakness.

03-04-2006, 01:13 AM
Lionel panted a little bit and ran over to Lilah, picking her up, supporting her head, her robes drooping down past his arms, covering them in the folds. "We have to get somewhere safe. Those soldiers will be charging up our loading ramp any second," he said, walking to Annika. "You help us, we help you. We know something that you don't."

03-04-2006, 02:16 AM
((Uh Lilah led the group away from the scene. They are in an abandoned apartment. One of Lilah's talents is that she can blend in her surroundings, a borrowing from Jacen in EU))

Lilah didn't hear anything, just a void. Her thoughts were muddled with memories, with doubts. She saw light at the end of a long tunnel, it seemed as if she were lost.

03-04-2006, 03:23 AM
We gunned down the remaining Dark Jedi in the streets. Unfortunetly the ones we were after got away somehow. They won't be able to evade justice forever. When it was over, all the lightsabers had to be turned over to the Republic soldiers. There wouldn't be any trophies to be taking home this time. Finally I turned to the man who was wielding the sniper rifle. He seemed like the only bounty hunter around. The rest were rag-tag militia or uniformed Republic soldiers. Along with the dead bodies of Dark Jedi laying around. "Name is Kedran, are you the one I am suppose to meet?" I said to him.

03-04-2006, 09:04 AM
((Yeah, but they won't be hidden for long.. Lionel doesn't have that power, and they'll be discovered any minute..That many people, it won't take long to raze any apartment building..))

03-04-2006, 04:46 PM
"There's a reason Jedi and Sith won't touch me," Annika said. "They can't and neither can the Republic, for none of them can ever quite track me down. You want to hide? Come with me."

She turned and, with Lionel carrying Lilah and following her, she left the small apartment. In seconds, they were underground and there, in a large cavern, Annika's ship was sitting quietly.

"I have a similar docking bay all to myself on most civilized planets," she said. "It's one of the reasons I'm so hard to trace. They never can tell where I am until I kill. When that happens, they know they can't hope to find me, as I'm offworld before they even know it happened."

She went up the ramp and it sealed behind her and the two runaways.

"So tell me," she said, heading for the cockpit. "You said you know something I don't. What is it?"

03-04-2006, 04:50 PM
He walked in and set Lilah down on a small repulsor-lift bed, then turned to Annika. "I know your parents aren't in hiding, and we know that you know that sooner or later, you'll lose connection to the Force completely, and lose those precious lightsaber skills of yours. If you want to, we can prevent that from happening," he said, walking over and sitting in the co-pilot's chair. He leaned back slightly, looking around at the controls, but not touching them.

"Nice ride."

03-04-2006, 05:00 PM
Annika was speechless for several seconds. Finally, she managed, "I... but... how? Why?"

Her astonishment was replaced with frustration. "How is that even possible? Loosing my connection to the Force?"

"And of course my parents aren't in hiding," she finished, almost in tears. "They're dead!"

03-04-2006, 06:07 PM
Lionel walked a few feet infront of her, his eyes showing no grief, as he was trained. "I know.. And your connection to the Force is being diminished by the lives you have taken. The souls and spirits of the dead are eating your power away." He moved a bit closer," my parents..." He sighed for a second, then spoke, "are dead too. My mother died at birth and my father.." He looked away for a second.

"I regretfully.. killed him myself."

03-04-2006, 07:55 PM
As Annika powered her ship and prepared for takeoff, she was silent. The ship began moving forward slowly, moving down a tunnel that had no end in sight. Then, Annika nodded.

"I am in the process of helping you," she said, her tears gone, her face showing nothing but determination mixed with anger. "You've explained why I need help. Explain how you can help me."

03-04-2006, 09:48 PM
He moved to sit back in the co-pilot's chair, strapping himself in. "That will wait," he said, booting up his side of the console, his fingers dancing around the LCD screen buttons. "In the meantime, let's focus on the present. How we will help you will reveal itself in our travels, with time," he said, flicking a button on above his head.

"Activating rear thrusters."

03-04-2006, 10:42 PM
Annika nodded. There were several seconds of silence. Then, she said, "Going up."

She angled the ship slightly upward to adjust to the tunnel they were in; it was now heading slightly up. There was finally an end to the tunnel. The rocky wall slid open and Annika directed the ship up toward space. The rock wall slid closed behind them.

"We're headed for one of my personal favorite hiding spots," Annika told Lionel. "By the way, you now know who I am, but I've not yet learned who you and your companion are."

03-04-2006, 11:12 PM
He flipped a few switches underneath the console then tapped the LCD screen a few times, resulting in several beeps. "Lionel Derke and Lilah Erron (That right?)" He said, relaxing against the chair. "You know of Darth Revan, correct?" (Be either blind or stupid not to :P)

03-04-2006, 11:19 PM
"Yeah. I'm Ave." Ave said and started walking to a corner, still in sight. "Wait one second. I'm checking my radar. . . Supposedly, the two are at an abandoned apartment. I have a plan." Ave turned around and walked back to him. "OK. First you storm the apartment while I wait outside. When you find them , give me the signal. I'll snipe them from outside. I know it's not the smartest of plans but it will work. And with this new battery I have, force sensitives can't detect the shot."

03-04-2006, 11:50 PM
Annika smiled slightly. "Who hasn't these days?"

03-05-2006, 12:34 AM
"Well, he had a crew.." He leaned back, unstrapping himself as they glided through space. He tapped a few buttons into his LCD screen as the small blip on their radar dissappeared and she ship's outer shell turned transparent, cloaked.

"I was originally a recruit for the Republic. I was on one of their attack ships, the Falcon 7." He sighed a little, trying to think back.

*Flash Back*
There were rumbles as the ship took hits to it's hull, sending violent vibrations throughout the interior of the ship.
"SIR! Three Sith Interceptors and a capital ship have appeared out of nowhere!" Lionel said, panicking. "Not good, not good.." He said, heading back to the armory and grabbing a DLT-77 disruptor rifle and a D-33 energy pistol. He wielded the rifle in one hand and the pistol in the other as he walked back to the captain. He handed him the rifle. "We might need this, captain," he said, charging up the pistol.

"You know, you're pretty smart for a sixteen year old," the aging captain said, firing up the rifle.

"SIR! They've docked with our ship, prepare to repel the boarders!" A voice came in over the intercom. Lionel started running for the docking bay. "LIONEL!" The captain shouted.

Not hearing what he yelled, he headed towards the bay himself. He was caught off-guard as seven sith soldiers poured out from the long tube. He fired several rounds before retreating around the corner, a hail of red beams went flying past. He stayed there until one sith soldier started to walk around the corner.

As the sith passed, he wrapped his free arm around the soldier's neck and emptied one shot into the sith's neck, burning a hole through his armor and his skin. He kicked the body aside and turned his gun around the corner, firing random shots. Several republic soldiers finally showed up, rifles blazing.

"Backup... about time." He saw one of his bunk mates run up to him, donned in full republic armor. "Lionel.. glad to see you.. here, take this, I picked up an extra for you." He handed Lionel another D-33 pistol and three energy cartridges.

"But.. Mark.." The soldier peered around the corner at an empty hallway. Lionel reloaded his original pistol and put the remaining ammo in his breast pocket. He heard Mark gasp then breath heavy, then he heard a thud and a dull hum. He pressed up against the wall, fearing for his life.

"Search the ship, find any survivors, report back to me." A voice said, dark and raspy. Lionel watched as a man in black robes strode past, wielding a bronze lightsaber. He stepped out as soon as he didn't see anyone else.

He was wrong.

The man in the robes was standing around the corner, he stepped up at the wrong time, right in the man's face. The man raised his lightsaber just as Lionel ducked and rolled backwards, unloading on the man with both pistols, each shot being expertly deflected. One of the stray blaster shots hit his right shoulder, sending searing pain up his arm.

It's all over.. He said to himself, still firing at the man until another stray shot hit his left knee, immobilizing his knee and making him scream out in pain. He took one look at the man and raised his pistol with his left hand. He shot the last cartridge, the beam being deflected away.

He coughed up a small amount of blood on his shirt as he tried to scoot backwards away as the man walked towards him. The lightsaber was inches away from his throat as he stopped moving, being blocked by a wall.

The lightsaber drew back as the man grabbed his shirt, lifting him into the air and sniffing slightly, shivering. "Such.. raw power.." The hooded man said, throwing him backwards towards the tube. "You're coming with me," he said, dragging Lionel into the tube and onto his ship.

*End of flashback*

"And he trained me for two years, teaching me just about all he knew. I finally was sent on a mission. A mission to kill a smuggler. His name was Fered Derke, my father. I successfully killed him but I found error in my ways and I stole a cargo hauler from the bay of Revan's capital ship and took off, taking one of his Dark Jedi apprentices along with me. Little did she know, I was his apprentice as well.."

He said, sighing a little and sitting up, leaning on the console with his elbows which were covered in shredded black fabric. "Little did I know, that apprentice was Lilah."

03-05-2006, 12:49 AM
"You say that as if you'd known Lilah before," Annika observed thoughtfully.

03-05-2006, 12:54 AM
"They are not there anymore." Ave raised an eyebrow at me. "I know how skilled these Dark Jedi are, if anything they are about to leave the planet. Or more likely, they've already left. Now we have to start from scratch. They probably didn't take a coventional ship at the docks, so they're departure won't be on record. If it was, the Republic fleet would be all over them."

Ave wouldn't have it, instead relying on his radar device. We kicked down the door to the apartment anyways to find it empty wasting even more valuable time. Proving that mediocre devices could not match my intuition due to years of experience hunting their kind. The chances of tracing the movements of these fugitives was decreasing rapidly."Haven't had much experience hunting Sithies have you? Tell me bounty hunter, how much are you getting paid?" It would be best not to trust this man. Bounty hunters are nothing but a bunch of slimebags that only speak in the language of credits. The second the Republic stops paying him is the second he could turn on us and find a new employer. Possibly the other notorious factions of the galaxy that could finance having him to be in their service. Like the Hutts, Exchange, Czerka or even the Sith.

Now where would three menacing Dark Jedi go if they were being hunted by the Republic, Jedi, and their own kin? "But why would the Sith want them too?" I thought. They never told me what these fugitives did to deserve capture or termination. Doesn't matter, they follow Dark Side whether they are with the Sith or not. And the more of them dead, the better. Plus, I'm not going back to prison.

(Maybe your characters are not dark sided. But it's what Kedran believes, and he will hunt you for it)

03-05-2006, 12:58 AM
((Just know they'll have a hell of a time finding us. We're in hyperspace now and Lionel just activated a cloaking device I didn't realize my ship had :D

But considering what Annika does, it makes sense she'd have one :) ))

03-05-2006, 01:28 AM
((What can I say? I have an interest in.. those type of things))

"I did.. before the attack on my Republic ship. We grew up in the same town, but we barely ever saw each other. I only knew her by her first name, but by the time I knew that, I was already drafted into the Republic." He looked around the ship a little, then back out the viewscreen.

"Kind of ironic that we meet under these cirumstances.. a legend meeting two Dark Jedi on the run," he spoke with a monotone. "Maybe it's foreshadowing something. I was always taught that I was in control of my destiny. Maybe there isn't any foreshadowing.. or destiny. Maybe the Force brought us three together.. for a reason." He said, glancing at the two females and raised an eyebrow sarcastically.

"Whatever it was, it has one hell of a sense of humor."

03-05-2006, 02:46 AM
((You got the name right))
Lilah made a groan as she woke. The last she thing she remembered was feeling angry at herself. She gazed up to see the light up ahead but being disoriented, she was confused and starting to get frustrated. She tried to sit up but got lightheaded very quick and fell off the bunk (I'm assuming) with a loud clunk. She muttered quietly to herself, "I should have never have left my people."

03-05-2006, 12:51 PM
"We control our steps," Annika said thoughtfully, "but our destiny, where our steps take us never changes. If we chose other steps, we may not have come together as we did."

She frowned and glanced back. "I think your friend may be waking up. I've got things under control here. Why don't you see how she's doing?"

03-05-2006, 01:00 PM
Lionel nodded and stood up, walking over to Lilah, helping her to her feet. "Well well, the sleeping beauty woke," he said, glancing around a little, "you're not going to pass out on me are you?" He said, supporting her so she wouldn't fall down again. He led her to a chair and sat her down, moving her hand to her side, off of his shoulders

03-05-2006, 01:15 PM
"What happened? Did it work?" Lilah asked. She made a frown trying to adjust the light and the movement of the ship. Lionel's figure came into focus and she was surprised and tried not to show it.

03-05-2006, 03:41 PM
"Darn it!" He shouted, and banged his radar. "O now it's working. It was busted and frozen." Ave looked at it again. "It says that they are heading to Alderaan(yes alderaan), and they are resting in space. You can come in my ship, it's better than your junk heap."

03-05-2006, 03:45 PM
"Yep, we're in space right now, and the authorities are none the wiser," he said, leaning on the side of her chair. "You did great," he spoke, walking away a few feet and sitting on another bunk.

03-05-2006, 04:24 PM
I grabbed Ave's radar device and tossed it in the air while quickly pulling out one of my blaster pistols and blasting it. I put the pistol back in my holster and turned to Ave. "That won't be any use in this mission. If this thing could track them that easily, then Republic or Sith fleet would be all over them by now. By now they are off planet and still alive which means they must have a cloaking device on their ship to avoid detection. You do not hunt Dark Jedi with conventional methods, it just doesn't work! Meh, bounty hunters... rely too much on crude tactics. It is possible they went to en route to Alderaan, but we cannot be sure." Ave was insulted by my remark, but this bounty hunter seemed to be more skilled then all the other I've come across. "Let's go to your ship and take off. I have an idea on how we can find them."

We got on the ship, and right away I hooked up my own tracking device next to the computer console and logged onto the holonet. Then I started slicing. "Alright, here's is a list consoles on ships logged onto the holonet and are currently in hyperspace. We normally would not be able to see this, but I have this special device which allows me to." The list had thousands of ships on it. "There are specific hyperspace routes ships have to follow in order to not hit something in real space, so we filter out the ships that are not on a hyperspace route that has Correllia in its path... Now we look at the ships that are in hyperspace that are headed away from Correllia." The list got smaller and smaller as I filtered out the variables. Some ships popped in out, as their personnel logged on and off. "Now we wait for them to log on to the holonet. Hack their navi computer records, and grab their last hyperspace coordinates." I said hoping that somebody would log on, for it was the only way to track them. They had to log on in order for us to get their location. "But how can we be sure it's they're ship, there are plenty of ships on that list!" Ave stated. "Simple, it is the console that does not carry a ship signal with it, since they are cloaked. Good trick huh?" So we waited, and watched as ships popped in and out. Each computer console on the list came with a ship signal so none of those could be the one. "So we sit, and wait."

(Only way I could come up with to more realistically and fairly track you guys.)

03-06-2006, 12:32 AM
"Where are we? Eh, How long was I out?" Lilah asked. She was rather embarrassed that Lionel had seen her like that as she had respect for his talent. She just sat in the chair and brought her long legs into a cross legged position though how she was going to stay on the chair was anyone's guess. Her embarrassment was showing through and couldn't find anything else to say.

03-06-2006, 09:33 AM
"Been out for an hour and a half. It's alright, i'm rather used to it by now," he said, getting up and walking around a little. "We might as well enjoy the time we're getting off now, because when we go planetside, they'll be on us really fast." He moved to sit back in the co-pilots chair, rapping on the LCD screen a few times, resulting in several hearty beeps.

He glanced to Annika, "So... where are we headed?" He said, raising his right eyebrow.

03-06-2006, 12:14 PM
Lilah asked, "Not Alderaan. They would track us faster there than bulls-eying womp rats."
By that time she had somehow crossed her legs on the chair and was hovering from an inch to an inch and a half off the seat. She decided to meditate, an odd thing for a former Dark Jedi but her former master and current companions didn't know wouldn't hurt them. She focused on a place that she had only heard of in memory and reached out with all her perceptions. She saw the clear falls and greenlands of her people. It was beautiful but the ugly thought of not belonging intruded and she backed away. She knew she was more than ready to leave the Sith but she was not ready to voice her opinions as to why. Opening her eyes she watched Annika and Lionel talking in the cockpit and she was tempted to use the Force to listen.
((Some places I describe may seem strange because they exist beyond known space. Read Heart of the Guardian for a better idea if you are confused))

03-06-2006, 12:58 PM
"Made a relatively blind jump," Annika answered. "I'll pull out here in another few seconds and make another. We'll pull out of that in another few minutes and actually go somewhere. A place I doubt you've heard of. It's a planet on the edge of the galaxy that has been lost to the records of the Republic."

03-06-2006, 04:37 PM
He sighed. "I see.. but as it is now..we didn't have much of a choice.." He said, looking at a Galaxy Map. "What system are we in?" He said, glancing at the reading.

03-06-2006, 04:56 PM
"Skirting the edges of Tatoo system now," Annika answered. She tapped the map and the Tatoo system came up. Another tap and the map showed Tatooine. "You may have heard this is a good system to hide... but it's a trap, really. Some of the worst kinds of sentient beings go there to hide. Anyone who's looking for a criminal looks there first."

Several more taps and the map showed empty space. "This is where we're heading. It may look like empty space, but that's only because the planet there isn't on any galactic map. For all intents and purposes, this planet does not exist. That's why I like it."

She smiled. "That and the fact that I've gotten to know the residents very well. They'll defend us to their deaths if they have to and they're hard to beat. Since I entered their lives, they've all trained extensively in several forms of ranged and melee combat. A warrior society, really."

Another few taps and the map was once more showing the entire galaxy. Annika pointed to the far edge of it. "This is about where we're headed." She pointed again. "This is where we are. It'll take us at least a day to get there, but we can make it without landing for fuel or anything else."

The console began to beep and Annika looked at it. "Coming out of hyperspace just short of Tatooine. Anyone who's trying to trace us will think we've landed there as our trail will simply disappear here."

The ship came out of hyperspace and Annika redirected it toward Geonosis. "If they're clever enough to spot our trail after Tatooine, they'll see we jumped toward Geonosis, so that's where they'll go," she said. "But we're not going all the way. We're dropping out in about ten minutes."

The ship went back to hyperspace and Annika leaned back in her chair looking rather thoughtful. "It's been years since I've been on the run," she said quietly. "I almost forgot how fun it was."

She smiled slightly. "Things get a little boring when you're uncatchable."

03-06-2006, 05:02 PM
He grinned mischievously, "Heh.. took the words out of my mouth," he said, leaning back again, taking out his lightsaber. It was wickedly curved and had the Sith insignia scratched out on one side. The hilt itself was dark purple with spots of grey and intricate swirls and sharp points around it. "Made this my first year into training with Revan." He ignited it, pointing it away, out in the open. It had a red core with a purple outer core.

03-06-2006, 05:35 PM
"Show off," Lilah muttered. She had become more aware of her surroundings and started to tune into the ship they were using. One noise kept bugging her and she voiced it, "Annika, I believe there are some tickings in the power coupling. They are minor but could become a problem if you don't fix it."
She sat back in the seat behind Lionel and was running checks on the secondary systems.

03-06-2006, 06:38 PM
"Okay." Ave said. "I can't really tell what ship is there's. Can you show me?"

03-06-2006, 07:49 PM
He turned off the saber and sheathed it, sighing a little, smiling. "I know.." He heard what Lilah said. "I'll get on that Annika," he said, heading to the back of the ship. He found the power coupling and kneeled down, touching the coupling. He started to unscrew small bolts with the Force.

He found the source of the ticking. He slowly corrected it. It was just a faulty wire. He closed back up the coupling and beat it back to the control deck of the ship. As it was not smart to be near the power coupling while the ship is in motion, especially with equipment.

He moved back to his seat and sat down, glancing at Lilah. "So.. what's your story?"

03-06-2006, 08:47 PM
"Well they're ship isn't listed yet, somebody has to log unto the holonet from a console from their ship in order for me to hack their system and grab their last jump coordinates. With their cloaking device, it should be impossible to track them conventionally. On top of that they are probably are setting a series of decoy hyperspace trails to lead us on a wild goose chase." It was true, the best of the Dark Jedi were very difficult to track down. And I've learned from my mistakes in the past. These ones though have proven to be much more skilled and clever.

"Hmm, seems they've left a hyperspace trail near Tatooine. Criminals usually go there to hide out. But they probably know we know that, so I think this one is a decoy. Lets head there anyways, if we need supplies or anything." So I sat and waited in front of the computer console, patiently waiting for any trace of them. "Come on, log on, you know the holonet too fun to resist!" I said outloud.

(you can keep running, and we will keep chasing. But if you want characters to confront each other soon....)

03-06-2006, 09:09 PM
Annika checked her console and nodded. "Thank you Lilah. I'll have it fixed once we land. You're right... that could become a real problem if left untouched."

She unclipped her lightsaber from her belt and handed it to Lionel. Its design was simple and formed to her hand exactly. On one side, she'd etched two combatants, lightsabers crossed. The blade was a hazy green, almost like seeing a bright green lamp through a thick fog.

03-06-2006, 09:18 PM
"I don't really understand a word you just said but I do have some contacts in Tattoine who can sell us some nice weopons. I love weopons!" Ave said, and started polishing his sniper. "I noticed you had a lightsaber." He said and turned to the controls to start up the ship. "Do you know how to use them? I thought I was the only non-force sensitive in the galaxy who knew how to until I saw you with one."

03-06-2006, 09:46 PM
(whooops, ill edit my last post a little)

I pulled out the Sith lightsaber that I collected and ignited it. It was a red beam as would be expected. I toyed with it a bit, swinging it from side to side, listening to the beam give off a slight humming sounds. Then I took the lightsaber and struck it against one of my arm bracers making a couple sparks before finally switching off the blade. Ave took a step back, wondering if I just cut off my own arm. "Cortosis arm bracers, handy when you fight them....I've trained with the Jedi before on how to track down Sith, that's about it. I just collect them, that's all." I turned the lightsaber over in my hand examining it, this one was a decently crafted lightsaber.

"They also come in handy as cutting tools, can cut through almost anything. Here, why don't you keep this one." I said unaffectionately while tossing Ave the lightsaber. He took a step back and looked at me as if I were sure I wanted to give him such a valuable item. People would pay thousands of credits just to get their hands on one of those.

"Don't worry, I've got a whole stash of these. And I intend to get plenty more before I kick the bucket. I think lightsabers are for chumps anyways."

03-06-2006, 09:54 PM
(Lionel already fixed it :) )) He grabbed it and examined it. "Nice work.." He handed it back to her. "Jedi Consular, if i'm correct. They use this color of saber.."

03-06-2006, 10:12 PM
"Theirs are somewhat brighter," Annika said. "But yes, they do tend to favor green."

She seemed slightly distracted. "I was a Jedi once, you know."

03-06-2006, 11:17 PM
He smirked a little. "I figured.."

03-07-2006, 02:48 AM
"As did I," Lilah responded. She turned to Lionel and asked, "What did you want to know?"

03-07-2006, 07:03 AM
"I don't need it either." Ave said, tossing it back. "And besides, we can get a nice profit on Tattoine. Just when we land there, follow me to the right shop. We'll get a nice deal on anything there." With that Ave tapped a few coordinates into the ship to send it to hyperspace travel to Tatoine. He got out of his chair and walked to the back of his ship. He sat down and fell asleep.

03-07-2006, 05:15 PM
"Where you came from.. your homeplanet.. your story." He said, turning to face her, pivoting his his co-pilot's chair. "Why you became a Dark Jedi, why you left."

03-08-2006, 01:04 AM
Lilah gazed at Lionel, "Well, I don't know where I was born but ny parents talked about it a lot. I grew up on Alderaan.
"My parents were always talking about this place that existed beyond known space and talked of the Sang or something like that and they were always wary of something like a secret that they never told me. Anyway, the Jedi found me to be strong in the Force and took me. They trained me. I followed Revan to war but I was never devoted to Malak. He struck me as a brute. Revan saw something and I followed but it seems he saw something in me for he taught me things that he never taught Malak. Revan claimed that I had a huge source of power behind me as if it belonged to me. I don't know. I never really saw myself as a Dark Jedi. I was devoted to Revan, a stupid thing really considering the rule by might rule.
You ask me why I left. I left because I was... I was...well I didn't want to do it anymore," she was hesitant because she was actually afraid, afraid of what she discovered of her power. She continued, "I saw no reason beyond simple killing like Malak who had a taste for it. That schutta brute. I also was tired, tired of the lies, the manipulations that I decided to give it up. You ask me why I left, well some things are best left unsaid, at least details."

03-08-2006, 09:22 AM
He smirked. "Well it looks like we have something in common.." he said, glancing at Annika. "We've all heard the stories, you're a legend. But what's the real story behind your life? Might as well talk, it's going to be a long trip."

03-08-2006, 11:10 AM
"Just don't wish for what is truly hounding me to happen. There are things far worse than the Sith," Lilah replied softly. She turned to Annika to listen to what she had to say.

03-08-2006, 11:30 AM
"Just a moment," Annika said, pulling the ship out of hyperspace. It had been ten minutes. Tatooine was directly in front of them. A few moments passed and they entered hyperspace again, leaving a trail that seemed to end at Tatooine.

"I was six when I was given to the Jedi," Annika finally said. "My parents wanted me to be come a 'servant of the galaxy' and they saw the Jedi as a group that could put me there. They were wrong. The Jedi discovered my Force sensitivity and started training me, but I was impatient with their training. They agreed I was too emotional and tried to correct the 'problem'."

"I knew there was nothing wrong with me," she went on, "so I pretended to be what they wanted me to be. It wasn't easy at first, but I got better at it. When they made me a Knight, I left, completely fed up with their phobia of emotions. I wandered for a while before finding my way to the Sith."

"The Sith took advantage of my emotions, encouraging me to fuel them, especially anger. While with them, I did many things that could be considered cruel and senseless. While I enjoyed the freedom to express my emotions, I slowly began to realize that the Sith were taking advantage of me."

She spun her chair around to face Lionel and Lilah. "And that's why I left them. I can use both Light Side and Dark Side abilities and I do. This galaxy needs at least one servant of true justice."

With conviction, she stated, "I am that servant."

03-08-2006, 02:21 PM
"I see," Lilah voiced. She was impressed by the control Annika exhibited over her abilities. She spoke, "My family spoke of our people able to do the same. I thought they were just stories but after what I found out, that's what made me left the Sith and the Jedi."

03-08-2006, 05:20 PM
"There are a few of us," Annika agreed, "though I've never worked with the others. We tend to work alone, having nothing to do with each other or the two sides, Jedi and Sith."

03-08-2006, 06:51 PM
"The ones I speak of I guess have that ability that I gave us cover with. My family said that they could only be seen if they wished. It's as if they live beyond the breath of the Force or something like that. Like I said, I thought they were just stories," then turning to Lionel she asked, "Why do you want to know about me and Annika? To figure out a way to get rid of us later?"
Her habit of being blunt came out. She was suspicious of many things after seeing the horrors she had witnessed before leaving.

03-08-2006, 08:12 PM
He sighed. "No, I wouldn't do anything like that." He glanced at Annika, "Grey jedi?"

03-08-2006, 09:55 PM
The ship finally touched down at Tatooine. "Alright, we can go. I set up a program to hack their system as soon as they log on to the holonet so we don't have to sit and wait. Lets go stock up"

03-08-2006, 11:31 PM
Annika nodded. "More or less, yes."

03-09-2006, 01:17 PM
Lilah settled down and silently cursed her nature to suspect everyone. She continued to scan the secondary systems. After a minute or two she said, "My parents were murdered by Revan's forces and I found out a terrible secret. That is what made me turn from the Sith."
Directing a question to Annika, "How long before we come ou of hyperspace?"

03-09-2006, 06:48 PM
He sighed and glanced around, typing in a few keys. "Space.. it's a hell of a lot bigger than any planet.." He murmured, looking out of the viewscreen at the black streaks through the blue tunnel.

03-09-2006, 08:47 PM
"This trip will take us the better part of a day," Annika answered. "I'd say we've got about ten hours ahead of us."

03-09-2006, 09:24 PM
"Stock up as in ammo, weopons, artillery, batteries, armor, headgear, radar systems, blasters, sabers, jetpacks, grenades, mines, detonators, explosives, charges, snipers, gear, helmets, bulletproof vests, and flamethrowers." Ave asked. "Because that's just the kind of things they have at the shop I'm talking about. Oh yeah. They also have food, drinks, and those kind of unimportant things in the bar in the back."

03-09-2006, 09:27 PM
He sighed a little and glanced at Lilah, then Annika. "I don't know about you two girls.. but i'm going to lay down for a bit.." He said, unstrapping himself and heading in the back, to the solitary bed. He plopped down and covered himself up.

Tell me when we get out of hyperspace..

03-10-2006, 12:20 AM
Lilah rolled her eyes after Lionel left. She sat back in her seat and asked Annika, "Why did you help us?"

03-10-2006, 12:27 AM
"Alright" I headed out to the various arms dealers Ave pointed out and bought some grenades. Everything else had plenty of ammunition. I boughta couple upgrades to my blasters, and a Mandalorian assualt rifle. My aim wasn't as good as Ave's, so i resorted to the "spray and pray" method. finally when i was done i went back to Ave "lets pop a couple dewbacks and bantha's out in the desert. what do you say?"

03-10-2006, 12:36 AM
Several long sentences of blurred english came out of his mouth, followed by a few 'mews'.

He rolled over, murming in his sleep, tieing the covers around him accidentally in a helix.

03-10-2006, 01:55 AM
"Because I got curious," Annika answered Lilah. "I know your situation. Running from the Sith, I mean. I remember what it was like to be hunted by both Jedi and Sith and anyone else that didn't like what I was doing. I remember the desparate feeling, the countless wishes for at least one friend."

She turned to fully face Lilah. "Compassion. It's something the Sith will not teach you, the Republic will not grant you, and though the Jedi value it, they see you as beyond saving and therefore unworthy of their compassion."

She stretched. "I, on the other hand, have felt what it's like to have all shoulders turned your way and have not lost the Jedi teachings of compassion. So I give, for I know I can and I know it's helpful to know that at least one person cares enough to help."

03-10-2006, 04:30 AM
"That is comforting," Lilah replied, meaning every word. She recalled a few instances where she blatantly disobeyed her master and showed compassion to some settlers she was supposed to kill. She masterminded a beautiful deception that was never detected. She slipped into the co-pilot chair and spoke, "How long have been running?"

03-10-2006, 04:47 AM
Annika considered this. "I'd say it must be going on five years now," she answered thoughtfully. "Sometimes it seems like a lifetime; others, the blink of an eye..."

03-10-2006, 07:20 AM
"I say.. A kill is a kill let's go!" Ave shouted nd clipped on some plasma grenades to his belt, tightened his helmet, and shot a practice shot through his newly waxed sniper rifle. And that practice shot got them through the gate to the desert for free. "I took out the guard." Ave said. "Perfect."

03-10-2006, 11:13 AM
"I see," and Lilah pulled a strange device out of her belt and began to examine it. It was a box actually. It had been left at her quarters before she escaped the Sith and she had been examining how to open it. Being in tuned to machines, she could not sense any tracking device but it was something familiar. She was examining it when she said, "Lionel has tied himself in a helix again."

03-10-2006, 11:30 PM
He rolled over and off of the bed, landing in a loud thump on the ground. He had only been out for what seemed like a few hours while they were talking, and after. As he landed, he woke up, struggling. He was caught up in the covers. Rolling back and forth, he was tugging and pulling away at the covers, then finally gave up and plopped his head on the ground with a thump.

"Meh.. a little help?"

03-11-2006, 01:14 AM
Lilah rolled her eyes and had a bemused smile as she went to help Lionel. He was struggling without end trying to get untied. She placed her hand on his shoulder to have him stop struggling. With a deft pull of the end of the sheet, she unwound the sheet and rolled Lionel right off. She smiled as she said, "You should try to train yourself not to receive dreams as extreme as you do. Otherwise you would end up wrapped in a cocoon." She let out a chuckle as she walked back to the cockpit and sat with Annika.

03-11-2006, 02:37 AM
He rolled his eyes a little and stood up, straightening his hair. He looked around and found his saber underneath the bed. He snatched it and clipped it on his sash once more. He stumbled over to Annika's chair and leaned his elbows on it, yawning a little.

"How many-" he yawned, "hours left till we hit open space?"

03-11-2006, 12:26 PM
"Less than one," Annika answered. "Should be about 25 minutes."

03-11-2006, 12:31 PM
He nodded, moving around and sitting on a small bench next to the Galaxy map, gathering himself.

03-11-2006, 08:11 PM
Ave and I went out in into the desert and began to start shooting at dewbacks and bantha's for the fun of it. "We need to get back to the ship and see if there is any trace of them."

03-12-2006, 01:59 AM
"Where will we head from where we fall out of hyperspace?" Lilah asked. She shared a grin with Annika at Lionel's recent misfortune and she turned to look at the systems of the ship. She began to sing a song in her head, "Shadows trip across the river, falling in a stream of silver..." She didn't realize that she was vibrating it through the Force and Lionel and Annkia where hearing it as well.

03-12-2006, 12:04 PM
"Heard that before.." He said to himself, shaking his hair a little. He started to get up and walk around the room, pacing the cockpit.

03-12-2006, 07:33 PM
Annika nodded. "It does sound familiar," she murmured. Then, she shook her head. "Well, these days, the planet is called the Watchtower. Its people are warriors, thanks to me, but at a glance, you'd never know. Even the children are deadly."

She tapped an empty square in space. "Like I said, it's right here, but no map you'll ever find of the galaxy has it mapped. Unless you know where to go, finding the Watchtower is worse than finding a needle in a haystack."

03-12-2006, 08:10 PM
"You mean, without the bloody mess afterwards.. unless you're careful.." He said, smirking a little. He walked to a small window and looked out it at the blue tunnel they were in. "I think we're about to hit space.." He said, taking note of the fading tunnel.

03-12-2006, 08:42 PM
"I'm sorry. Was I singing through the Force again? It was just a song that my parents used to sing of a great warrior called Kirabaros or something. That is what it is translated but the original is even better," Lilah realized that her companions were curious about the song. She looked at where Annika was pointing for the Watchtower and continued, "It was a song my parents used to sing when I was little. When I was older, they claimed they could hear me singing it in their thoughts. I don't know."
Lilah cheacked the console to make sure the ship was steady as they were going to jump out of hyperspace. Aware that she was talking at a different rate than her companions she caught up, "Thw Watchtower is like the system that my people are from. It is said that it is a place that can't be found by those unless they have already been there. It was said that it was a haven for the Force sensitive or something. I don't know. The system is the Avalonian system but it is not on any of the charts though few of the Republic have claimed to have been there and back. Maybe it was your Watchtower that they found," and she smiled trying to make light of a grim situation.

03-12-2006, 10:56 PM
"Whatever the situation, I'll just be glad to set foot on a planet where i'm not hunted," he said, walking over and sitting in a chair behind the pilot, strapping himself in as the ship slid out of hyperspace.

"Alright.. now where is this.. Watchtower.. of yours?"

03-12-2006, 11:30 PM
"If that where the case, then we should head for my people's haven. They from what I remember but here looks good from where I'm sitting," and Lilah checked the systems for approach.

03-13-2006, 12:16 AM
"Hunted?" Annika laughed. "No, no. You'll be protected. They trust anyone with me."

"As for where your people are from," Annika went on, turning to Lilah, "I really don't think it's the Watchtower. There can't be more than a thousand people living on the entire planet... and they all live in one place. Not to mention, there are all different races there."

Suddenly, the comm crackled to life. You bring visitors to us, Annika Venn?

"I do," Annika answered. "We'll be..."

The ship rocked. Don't bother landing. We'll guide you down. Power everything but life support off.

"They've always been touchy about that," Annika said, smiling slightly as she complied with their orders.

03-13-2006, 12:18 AM
He felt uneasy about what she was doing. "Are you sure about this?" He said, gripping the arms of his chair.

03-13-2006, 12:19 AM
Annika smiled encouragingly. "Relax. I've done this several times. It's always abrupt, always the same."

03-13-2006, 12:30 AM
He nodded and waited for the ship to be brought down onto the planet below. (I'm gonna head to bed.. night)

03-13-2006, 12:58 AM
Lilah was surprisingly calm. She was feeling all corners of the environment around her, 'seeing.' She wasn't concerned by the abruptness of the people. She went back to her singing where she left off, through the Force, "...the Heart leads the sun when all have long been gone. He brings the hope through the land, and peace settles in the palm of the hand..."

03-13-2006, 05:08 PM
Lionel blinked and raised an eyebrow, "You make that all up by yourself? Or do you just see the future and sing what you see and hear.. like a Force siren?" He said, walking over and leaning his elbows on Lilah's chair.

03-13-2006, 06:10 PM
Lilah turned to stare at Lionel. She replied, "No I didn't make that up. It's a story sung way before I was born. My mother used to sing it to me and I remembered. It is about a great waarrior who united the tribes on my parents homeworld." She gazed thoughtfully at the console behind Lionel as if debating on whether or not to continue. With a sigh, she spoke again, "Sometimes when I see things, I do sing about it. I used to do that when the other padawans would get in trouble or were going to get in trouble. The masters never knew what to make of it."

03-13-2006, 06:24 PM
Ave and him got to the ship and checked the machinery, "Okay. How does this thing work?" Ave asked and turned to the technology specialist.

03-14-2006, 12:29 AM
He nodded, pacing the cockpit again. "I never knew any of those things, or songs for that matter. Grew up dirt poor, my dad was a dead beat and my mom died when I was born. Ate off of table scraps 'till the Republic brought me in, I never got to learn anything.. about everything. Until Revan," he said, concentrating for a moment, as if actually reconsidering going back to him, then realizing he's gone too far to go back now.

"About two minutes until landing.." He said, not even looking out the viewscreen.

03-14-2006, 12:46 AM
Two minutes later, the ship was settled gently on the surface in the Watchtower's only city, Andarin. Annika powered down life support and headed for the boarding ramp. It slid down and Annika disembarked, approaching a young man there waiting for them.

"Welcome back, Annika Venn," he said. "You and your companions are to follow me."

"These two are trustworthy, Gan," Annika said. "Trust them, protect them."

"We protect," Gan answered stiffly. "Trust must be earned."

"Of course," Annika said quietly. She turned to Lionel and Lilah and said sharply, "Follow closely. The path we are about to take is easy to get lost in."

With that, she followed Gan into what could only be described as a maze. There were so many twists and turns, abrupt drops, climbs, and anything else imagineable, it would be impossible to remember the exact path taken.

"Stay close," Annika warned again. "It's very easy to get lost in here."

03-14-2006, 12:48 AM
He followed Annika and the man(or woman?) through the maze of ancient walls. He took a tight corner and slammed his knee into a corner, stopping for a second and rubbing it before catching back up with Annika.

"This is one hell of a maze you got here.." He said while panting.

03-14-2006, 01:31 AM
Lilah took a look around and she felt at home. The trees, the brush, all felt familiar and she was at ease. She allowed Lionel to hold her hand as she followed Annika becoming acutely aware that there was alot going on. She would turn her gaze to look at something and it scared Lionel that she might get them lost but she always had a bearing on Annika. She was thoughtful about the Watchtower. All felt right.

03-15-2006, 01:03 PM
((I have a couple of problems with your posts. First, this is not a maze of trees and bushes. The city has been built in such a way that the walls of its city, all the buildings sort of overlap. Some walls have even been added to increase the confusion of the maze. If attacked and overpowered, any living citizens run to the maze. There's more than enough room there and they all know the maze very well.

Also, JM12, you're still making it sound as if Lilah's from here... Watchtower is a planet I created. The only connections it has to the Star Wars universe are the ones I make for it... it has been cut off from the rest of the galaxy for at least a thousand years. It's not on star charts or anything. If you wouldn't mind, could you pick a different planet?))

03-15-2006, 05:22 PM
edited my post))

03-15-2006, 09:12 PM
((Sorry I was trying to convey the impression that the surroundings were familiar. Not that she is from there but certain things remind her of home. Sorry for the confusion.:))
Lilah spoke to Annika as they were walking through the maze, "This place reminds me of home, or at least a time when I found more of my people." She kept stride fairly easily and didn't break it when Lionel hit his knee.

03-15-2006, 09:24 PM
Annika seemed amused. "Though I'm sure your people didn't have anything quite like this," she said. "The people here are very concerned with safety, as you can see. Inside this maze, there are enough rooms to hide all one thousand current residents and leave room for expansion."

Finally, they came to a door. Their escort opened this door and went inside, gesturing for the others to follow. Once they were inside, he went out, closing the door behind him.

"There," Annika said. "We will be safe for as long as we like in here."

03-16-2006, 12:26 AM
Lionel stepped inside, letting go of Lilah's hand. He slowly walked in ahead of Annika and the guide, looking around the entire place with wide eyes.

03-16-2006, 12:47 AM
Lila smiled. She liked Annika because she reminded her of a friend she had when she joined the Order. She asked, "Where are we?"

03-16-2006, 01:01 AM
Annika laughed. "Oh, dear. Please don't ask..." She looked around the large room and grinned. "Somewhere beneath the surface of the planet and quite a ways away from Andarin... the city, that is."

She crossed the room and opened another door. "They keep this place well cared for. Food and other supplies are replenished every other month."

With a little sigh, she turned to Lionel and Lilah. "But one thing I'm sure you've both felt. It will do no good to hide here forever."

03-16-2006, 03:41 PM
"Yes, but I can't pinpoint why," Lilah was saying. She felt at peace but the back of her mind, a shadow.

03-16-2006, 08:02 PM
"Yeah.. even thought this is a serene place, I don't see it staying that way for long," he said stepping forward a little. "So... How long has this village been here?"

03-16-2006, 08:33 PM
"The way the locals tell it, a thousand years," Annika answered. "They say their ancestors' ship was pulled out of hyperspace and crash landed here. For a while, they tried to communicate with the Republic, but eventually gave up and started living with what they had here. Then, others started crashing into the planet. Now, there's a small network of beings in the galaxy that know of the place and we bring supplies when we can."

She smiled thoughtfully. "Supplies in exchange for the occasional need for hiding."

03-16-2006, 09:06 PM
"Seems like a melting pot for a variety of species... tell me, who are the dominant species here?" He asked, looking around and the few people actually visible walking through the city.

03-16-2006, 09:16 PM
((We're underground several miles away from the city... nobody's visible... we're in a completely enclosed room. No windows or anything.))

"Humans are dominant here, as with the galaxy," Annika answered.

03-16-2006, 09:36 PM
"Hmm..." Lilah was thoughtfully listening. She looked at the empty place and asked, "Why have you brought us here?"

03-16-2006, 09:40 PM
"For a little peace," Annika answered. "For a little training. You are both new to being on the run. You must learn to be uncatchable."

She paused toughtfully. "Then, there's me. Lionel has alerted me to the reason I seem to have been loosing my power." She looked at him. "And you say you can help. I'd rather get that help in peace than on the run. So if you don't mind, I'd like to get that over with while we're here also."

03-16-2006, 10:55 PM
(My bad, this planet doesn't seem to be like normal planets.. sorry for not paying attention to your posts WildJedi, you at least deserve that from me. I apologize.)

He looked at Annika and nodded, looking her over. "What kind of training do you want to begin with? I'm sure you're rusty on just about everything.. " He said, taking off his robe to reveal his jet-black Dark Jedi attire.

03-17-2006, 12:13 AM
Lila cocked her brow, "That incident I did? That was like a one timer. Even if I could do that again, it takes much out of a person, particularly when you have multiple people you are trying to hide. I don't really want to go through Jedi training again mainly because I don't feel belonging to either. There is no honor in the Sith or the Jedi. The way of Bushida is the way." It came out as a surprise because she didn't know what Bushida was. Somehow she felt the need to say it but didn't understand why.
((This is common among those from the Avalonian system. They live by codes of honor and the most able train in Bushida, something like the samurai. Mostly it's the idea of not to get captured but to die in battle. Those that know Bushida and the ways of the Jedi are filled with conflict.))

03-17-2006, 12:14 AM
((Apology accepted. And it may be partially my fault. I've really only described where we are OOC.))

"You mistook my meaning," Annika said. "I do not refer to Jedi and Sith training. The two of you need more training than I do." She sat in a nearby chair. "One of the benefits of the maze is that it is a wonderful training ground, provided you're wearing a tracer being monitored by one who knows the place very well. We'll get some rest and then your training will begin."

Standing abruptly, she went on. "Training for what? You already know how to fight. Now you get to train how to hide from those looking for you. Face it: you are being hunted. You must learn to turn the tables, to hunt your hunters and to evade them until you are in a place where you can strike before they know what happened."

"Then, you need to learn to slip away without attracting attention," she finished. "I will be your instructor here and the citizens will help." She nodded slowly. "You have a lot to learn."

With that, she went through another door and shut it behind her. This was a bedroom and here, Annika would get some rest. After all, it was nighttime over Andarin and, though they were underground, it was always better to keep with the schedule of the place. Much easier to get help from the locals, if needed.

03-17-2006, 12:32 AM
He sighed. "She doesn't even know us, yet she thinks we need training." He started to feed his anger as he walked away. "I don't care what she thinks, i'm training how I ought to be training.. " He said, walking out of the empty room.

03-17-2006, 06:53 AM
Lila was confused. Her people were experts at living on the run. Those that watched the Jedi and the galaxy lived in the Shadows. She didn't say anything more but sat and meditated.

03-17-2006, 08:15 PM
He leaned on a nearby wall, thinking about what Annika said. He'd go along with the training, but he'd be sure as hell she wasn't getting any. After a few minutes, he slid down the wall, falling asleep.

03-17-2006, 09:47 PM
Seeing that Lionel was asleep, Lilah then began to sing the song she had been singing, "...he has the greatest gift and honor, the chosen of guardian warrior..."

03-20-2006, 06:03 PM
((Xbx, why are you so sure Annika needs training? Come on! She trained with both Jedi and Sith for five years each... so she's had ten years of Force training. She's 29 now and has been slipping around without being noticed for five years. Do the math. She's good. She doesn't need training. She needs help so she doesn't loose her Force powers, but training is unnecessary. And please allow Lionel and Lilah to be startled at times during the maze training. The people of this planet have spent their entire lives training as warriors and they know this maze better than you know your own house.))

"You have a beautiful voice," Annika said quietly, standing in the doorway she'd gone through just moments ago. "But you really ought to get some rest. Trust me. The training you will undergo here will be completely unlike anything you've even imagined before."

With that, she retreated into her room and shut the door again.

03-20-2006, 06:20 PM
Lilah smiled and decided to rest. She walked up the wall to the ceiling and sat cross legged and fell asleep. She wasn't sure by this training that Annika meant but was willing to go along with it. She dreamt of the lands that she had only heard of in song.

03-20-2006, 08:38 PM
MAN! WHEN WILL THIS GUY POST! I asked a question a long time ago and it isn't being answered. Where is.. I forgot his name. The RCOF guy.

03-20-2006, 09:46 PM
whoops, im waiting for them to reveal their position so we can confront them.

"Just let me handle it Ave." a few minutes later a beeping sound came from the console. "There they are, put in these coordinates. Wierd, this place is uncharted." We should survey the system first before landing anywhere. Put the ship in stealth mode.

03-20-2006, 10:26 PM
(Well, I didn't mean training.. I meant like, training in force powers, to help her reconnect to the Force)
He was still asleep, snoring away.

03-21-2006, 12:43 AM
Lilah saw vast plains and a forest on its edges. She saw the animals roaming and the sun rising from the east. She felt the freedom. She had never seen this land but her parents spoke of it. She found herself face to face with Inkosi Kanji, the medicine man who took her on a journey to find courage and her place. She was dreaming in her sleep not realizing that she had lifted a sleeping Lionel in the process. She was hearing the singing in her ears of the same song she had been singing but it was different; it was a tribal song.

03-21-2006, 05:47 PM
(Lifted? You mean into the air?)

03-21-2006, 06:34 PM
((Yep. I should have said levitated.))

03-21-2006, 09:59 PM

Still snoring, his was upside down, his legs flailed out around him and his body contorted in a lazy way.

03-21-2006, 10:10 PM
Lilah was still sitting cross legged on the ceiling, not noticing what she was doing to Lionel. She was still sleeping and feeling at peace.

03-22-2006, 04:39 PM
He twirled in the air a little, squirming from a nightmare, then calmed down again, slowly rising towards a wall.

03-23-2006, 03:13 AM
Lilah could sense that Lionel was dreaming again and began to sing through the Force, ...Heart is where the courage lies and his truth ne'er lies. He gives the hope of life, and fights through the strife... She was still sleeping on the ceiling and didn't know if Annkia was around or not. Her concern was to calm Lionel at the moment.

03-23-2006, 09:36 AM
Within moments, he fell back asleep, now flat on the ceiling, curled up in a ball.

03-23-2006, 07:33 PM
Lilah continued to sing in her sleep through the Force well into morning Swiftly through the judan trees he flies with wings on breeze...

03-23-2006, 08:33 PM
Alright, runaways, Annika's voice echoed through the minds of the two sleeping Dark Jedi. Time to wake up now.

03-24-2006, 12:18 AM
Lilah awoke and when she did, Lionel fell with a loud thump and landed in an ungraceful heap. Lilah was still sitting on the ceiling and she gazed down to find Lionel trying to untangle himself. She said, "Sorry about that. I guess I did that thing in my sleep again." She stood up and began to stretch, feeling refreshed. Her braid dangled like a chain as she stood on the ceiling. She called to Annika, "Are you awake yet?"

03-24-2006, 12:30 AM
He moved to sit cross-legged, rubbing his neck, popping it a little, due to the position he landed in. "Perfect sleep.. by the way.." He said sarcastically, grabbing his fallen saber on the ground and sheathing it within his sash. He stood up, facing Annika, still rubbing his neck.

03-24-2006, 01:09 AM
Lilah called from the ceiling, "And good day to you too. You're lucky we weren't on a mountain. That would have been some fall." She was stretching and warming her muscles. She then folded her knees under her and sat in that position on the ceiling.

03-26-2006, 01:37 AM
"Sure thing." Ave said, flipped a swich and the ship went into stealth mode. (sorry for the yelling..)

03-26-2006, 01:57 PM
He looked around the room, then up towards Lilah. "I think you can get down now.. the ground isn't dangerous you know.."

03-26-2006, 02:20 PM
Annika laughed. "Do you know that for a fact?"

She shook her head. "Come on. The maze awaits you."

03-26-2006, 05:15 PM
He nodded and headed towards Annika, following her. "Lead the way.." He secretly didn't want to go along with this..

03-26-2006, 05:26 PM
"I sense reluctance from you, Lionel," Annika said, leading the two Dark Jedi back to the door they'd originally come through. "Trust me... this will be worth it."

She opened the door, revealing a shimmering, transparent pane, almost like a force field. "Step through this. It'll take you to another part of the maze. There, you'll be forced to rely on one another and your senses. While you could defend yourselves against the locals, that is not the goal. The goal is to make it back here without being seen."

She handed each of them a datapad. "You'll start from here." She tapped the pad and a red dot appeared. "The map will not trace the correct path back. You will run into dead ends. Be cautious. Keep alert. The locals will be all around. You never know when they'll show up."

She looked back to the doorway. "If they catch you, they'll slap you with a sort of baton they carry. It will transport you back to this red dot and you'll have to start over. So be careful. Be hidden."

03-26-2006, 08:10 PM
He grabbed the datapad. "Anything goes?" He said, "As in, are Force powers allowed?"

03-26-2006, 08:15 PM
"For sensing your opponents only," Annika answered. "The object is to escape notice, not to write yourself out of their memories or blow through them without letting them get close."

03-26-2006, 08:33 PM
The ship finally caught where the three were hiding. "Let's bring 'em down!" Ave said as the ship drifted into hyperspace.

03-27-2006, 02:05 AM
((Is the area still enclosed WJ?))

Lilah had jumped from the ceiling and landed silently to follow Annika. She received her instructions without a change in her facial expression. She was already concentrating on where the locals were. They emitted a curious signature within the Force that rang out like an alarm. She kept her thoughts to herself, burying them under mundane thoughts of getting through the maze. She looked at Annika and asked, "And the walls shift do they?"

03-27-2006, 02:23 AM
((Yes. But you'll have to go through the transporter thing at the door before the training really begins. I expect you both to get sent back to the start at least twice... and Annika gave you both maps in case you get separated :) ))

"It's been known to happen," Annika said, nodding. She gestured to the shimmering blue field framing the door. "To begin, step through. You'll come out at the red dot on your map. Then, you have to work together to avoid the locals and return here."

03-27-2006, 03:53 AM
Lilah raised a brow at Lionel and without saying anything, she stepped through. It was rather a strange feeling and she observed her surroundings while waiting for Lionel. She was thinking of her sleep and the strange readings the locals were emitting. She thought of other things, all connected but they ran through in a jumble. She waited patiently for Lional.

03-27-2006, 09:19 AM
Lionel stepped through the shimmering portal and stepped beside Lilah, linking his mind with hers, creating somewhat of a wave forward, sending the positions of the opponents to his mind, which was also planted into her head as well.

"Come on.." He said, activating Force sight. Everything was a blur yet he could see through objects, people, and stepped next to a glowing grey celestial body, who happened to be Lilah.

03-27-2006, 03:25 PM
"I suggest we head north," Lilah put forward. It was the only sure way she felt at the moment.

03-27-2006, 04:34 PM
The path ended with a two way turn. She started to the right, but Lionel quickly stepped infront of her and pushed her into the shadows, a short baton coming out of nowhere and planting itself on his face, sending him to his feet, disappearing and appearing back at the portal. Seeing as Lilah didn't appear back, she seemed to be still hidden. Stay there, go left.. Watch out for the two guards on your right and the single guard on your left, three paces from the left turn there's a guard, he's in the middle. Step behind him. Make no noise.. He projected his thoughts to Lilah, walking back to his original position slowly.

03-27-2006, 05:00 PM
Good, Annika's voice came to both of them. Working together is permitted. Work together. Find them. Don't let them find you.

03-27-2006, 05:52 PM
Lilah acknowledged his message and jumped to the ceiling, making no noise. She concentrated on her ability to, as she put it get lost. Silently she scampered along the ceiling. She could sense the odd emittances and figured out they were the batons. Quickly she projected to Lionel, Concentrate on the batons with the Force. The stronger it is, the closer they are She remained in her spot scanning and waiting for Lionel.

03-27-2006, 06:14 PM
"Using the ceiling," one of the locals called up to Lilah. "Good tactic."

He tossed his baton, striking her with it and sending her back to the start.

The locals are very sensitive to sound and movement, Annika said through the Force. Use your surroundings and move quietly.

03-27-2006, 07:25 PM
He could be faintly seen as a brisk shadow moving along the guards and corners, kind of like a torn cape as he flowed along the walls before having to get out and rest, glancing up at Annika. It was the wall merge, something that Revan taught him long ago, a type of Force camoflauge.

Alright.. I see you.. now.. which way... He said to himself, drawing his pitch black cloak around him as he pulled up his face mask, sheathing his entire face and features with a black thin cloth, his hair being covered by his hood.

03-28-2006, 12:49 AM
Lilah didn't like that and again jumped on the ceiling but this time began to run lightly. She used her abilities in camoflage and pulled various things out of her pouch on her belt. She used these to make distracting noises. She made jumping motions from the ceiling to the ground, to the walls, heading north. She caught a glimpse of Lionel and reminded him to head north. Concentrating on the batons, she avoided those that were sent flying at her as best she could. She was glad that the training she had on that kind of combat was being put to good use.

03-28-2006, 06:22 PM
He was gliding along in the shadows, heading northbound, ever guard seemed to be interested in Lilah's actions, allowing him easy passage through the maze. Watch it, she said we weren't supposed to be seen..

03-28-2006, 11:01 PM
Get through first and I'll handle the rest
A small explosion occurred and a cloud of smoke appeared. Lilah had set off a smoke bomb that allowed complete confusion. She then ran in all directions placing non-lethal mines all over the place. Sticking to the ceiling she ran lightly and activated her stealth/Force camoflage and intensified it with her people's ability. She began to hear a voice in her ear, rather a memory. It was a counting song used to train in footwork. She applied it as she seemed to fly across the ceiling. It was rather impressive.

03-29-2006, 12:14 AM
"Alright, we know nothing of these people though so we should be cautious. Let's land and have a look around."

03-29-2006, 09:19 AM
He moved swiftly throughout the smoke, his clothing letting him blend in with the shadows and the grey matter that the smoke produced, weaving in and out of confused bodies. In a matter of seconds, he had already matched the speed of his partner, moving with the shadows, embedded within the walls.

You have a talent.. I have a talent.. (Secretly, he had been training with one of Revan's failed apprentices, taught him a few things about shadows.. and how to use them to your advantage.)

03-29-2006, 11:03 AM
Lilah managed to lose the locals and had a clear bearing for the location. when she got to a clearing, it was clear, no signatures from the batons, no nothing. Something wasn't right however and it sent prickles up her spine. She took a small indescript part that she had in one of her pouches and threw it. As she expected, a local was there. This one was particularly good at hiding himself. She went back the way she came again avioding the locals. She warned Lionel, We have a good one. He masks himself well

03-29-2006, 02:46 PM
Lionel had just received the message when he passed the man, getting grabbed by the ankle. "NO!" He shouted, throwing a punch into the local's stomach, sending him sprawling backwards. He shook it off and ran off the other way, the local getting to his feet and giving chase.

Got to hide.. He repeated over and over to himself in his head. He stopped at a dead end, facing the local. "Heh.." He said, withdrawing a small dagger. As the man stepped forward, the man's shadow was visible, slowly arching behind him. Lionel took great aim and threw the dagger at the man's shadow, embedding the blade into the ground, freezing the man where he stood.

Lionel used this advantage to leave before the light switched and the man's shadow disappeared, leaving him open to move again. By that time, Lionel had vanished.

03-29-2006, 02:53 PM
You are not to threaten, Annika's voice said in Lionel's head. Suddenly, she appeared next to him and struck him with the baton in her hand, sending him again back to the beginning. Be unseen. That which cannot be seen does not cause fear.

03-29-2006, 03:14 PM
Lilah heard Annika speak to Lionel. She had completed her roundabout and was coming at a different angle. Again she felt something not right and she backtracked. This time she went bold. She reduced her own energy output to match the locals, hiding amongst them. It was draining but she was tired of this game. It was a technique she had learned in passing from one of her own people who tried to save her when she joined Revan. By making herself like the locals, she reduced her Force emmitance significantly till there was virtually no trace of a Jedi. Knowing that they would be drawn to the sudden fluctuation, she left quickly and doubled back. It looked as if she were lost but she relied on her memory and her senses. She made it back to where she saw Lionel attack the local. She was just about to make a move when something touched ner and sent her back.
Determined not to let her fatigue or frustration get the best of her, she again did the last thing she initiated and charged through. Now that she had a better handle on it, she passed for one of the locals and they took no notice of her. She spotted the difficult one and with a quick leap to the left, she disappeared around the corners. She began to play withhim, running around and confusing him until he grew frustrated and went to search for Lionel. Quickly she projected to Lionel, Use the maze to confuse, they lose interest
With a sprint of extra speed not influenced by the Force, she made it to the point but continued to dance around the exit waiting for Lionel. A fierce loyalty to a companion would not allow her to leave him behind. She evaded te locals continually, frustrating them that they kept coming upon on of them when it was in fact her.

03-29-2006, 05:50 PM
The ship holding Ave and Kedran suddenly rocked and lurched. Then, without warning, as if tossed by a giant hand, it plunged toward the surface...

A nearby door opened. "Enter, Lilah," Annika said, emerging from inside. "Lionel will be along in a moment. He's playing the game wiser now."

03-29-2006, 06:05 PM
Lionel shook his head in frustration. "God damnit..." He said quietly to himself, gathering the last bit of strength in him and tracing his steps, making his way around the men with virtually no sound, confusing them as he stepped around corners and blended in with the shadows.

He rubbed his nose a little and wiped off some blood, slinging it to the ground- a result from being smacked in the face in the beginning. He quickly melded once again with the shadows, following the exterior of the maze, hitting a few dead ends but finally ending up where he and Lilah were split. He stepped out of the shadows and stood there, no men around. "Something's not right.." He quickly slid into the shadows as three men ran past, talking amongst themselves. He managed to catch the word 'confuse' before they departed.

He slid out of the shadows and slowly made his way through the maze, he went a long time without any errors only to find a dead end. He growled and punched the wall- bad idea. Several men ran to the sound, only to find a crack in the wall. Lionel had slid past them and down the hallway.

He stepped out of the shadows and knocked a few times with his knuckles on the wall, distracting a guard that was a few feet behind him. He quickly spun around the opposite corner once the man came to inspect the sound. Lionel slipped around the man and back around the right corner, finally standing where Lilah was taken.

"Where'd she go.."

03-29-2006, 06:14 PM
"Lionel," Annika called, appearing again in the doorway. "Come in, please."

When he entered, she closed the door behind him. From the outside, it looked like nothing more than another wall.

"We have some rather intelligent beings tracking us," she said. "They've managed to follow us to the planet. So far, they've been pulled out of orbit and will crash in the desert three miles outside the city. The locals will meet with them and find out if there's any way they'll leave us alone. If not, we'll have a fight on our hands."

03-29-2006, 06:36 PM
"They may be ones trying to hunt us," Lilah said. She had her adrenaline up from all of her shadow chasing with the locals. She was also exhausted from the technique but not as much as the last time. She was listening with all her senses trying to figure out who it was that had crashed.

03-29-2006, 06:58 PM
He glanced at Annika, his right eyebrow furrowing- he wanted to smack her in the face. "Why the hell.. I went through all of that.. just to learn how to evade stupid pedestrains with sticks?!" He said, turning around. "If they want a fight, then they'll get a fight. I'm going with the scouting crew once they crash. I want to meet my assailants face to face.."

03-29-2006, 07:39 PM
"Calm yourself you will," Lilah spoke softly and yet with a will. She continued, "Let Annika explain to us."

03-31-2006, 10:09 AM
He just kept walking, shaking a little from anger. Why the hell.. They're on their own.. He said to himself, heading out of the building and outside into fresh air. (Gah, it's hard to rp here because I don't know the landscape and I don't know what room we were in. Didn't know if this was a village or just one big building, or if there is even an outside..)

03-31-2006, 11:03 AM
((Sorry for really not explaining the place... we landed in a small city. From there, we were taken through 'The Maze', a thing sorta like the catacombs of Rome... it's easy to get lost there because the passages cross and recross each other all over the place. We're two miles underground and four miles outside the city.))

"Looking for something?" one of the locals asked Lionel, staring at him curiously.

"We should go after him," Annika said quietly. Without another word, she headed for the door.

((I expect Annika waited a couple minutes before deciding this... so Lionel's a little ways ahead.))

03-31-2006, 11:04 PM
"Yeah.. the scouting party.. when are they heading out?" He said, turning towards the local. 'In a few hours, why?' The local asked, curious. "I'm going with them.." The local nodded and started off in a random direction, obviously towards the meeting place. 'Follow me, i'm guessing Annika wanted you to go with them.. in that case, i'll be glad to take you,' he spoke, motioning for Lionel to come along.

As Lionel followed the local, he glanced back at the building he was just in, then back to the local, smiling a little bit- finally getting his way.

04-01-2006, 03:26 AM
((Well, I was gonna control the local and have him lead you out of the Maze, but you're an impatient one, aren't you :p ))

"Saw you once in Maze training," the local remarked. "I'm Torst, by the way. You're good... you and your friend. You both are. Haven't had anyone get past us so quickly since Annika first arrived."

He led Lionel through several turns in the Maze and continued to talk. "I suppose that's understandable though. Most of us here aren't Force sensitive... so it's harder for us to find you. Still possible, but harder. I think it's what makes Annika so good at what she does."

He shrugged. "The Elders would probably tell me to shut up now," he admitted.

Annika led Lilah through the maze until they came to another local.

"Lead us out," Annika said. "Our friend has gone ahead of us. We're going out with the search party."

"Best to know your enemy, yes, Ms. Venn?" the girl asked. Annika nodded.

"That's right, Tana," she agreed. The girl nodded and started leading them out.

04-01-2006, 12:29 PM
He followed the local and nodded along with his words. He didn't want to speak right now, due to the many things on his mind at the moment.

04-02-2006, 01:54 AM
Lilah was not paying attention to most of the conversation but instead using her senses to determine if they ship that had crashed were friend or enemy. When Annika spoke to the girl, she broke out of her reverie long enough to catch the conversation. After it ended she asked, "Tana?"

04-02-2006, 03:20 AM
Tana glanced at Annika before turning to Lilah and nodding. "Yes?"

04-02-2006, 05:14 AM
"Sorry, I lost myself for a moment and I heard your name," Lilah replied, slightly embarassed. She had not yet mastered the technique of being physically aware in one place while her mind was in another.

04-07-2006, 05:51 PM
Having reached the scouting party, he joined up with the armored men. "We're ready to go, I guess you're the new guy?" One of them said, slipping into an armguard then tightening his gloves. "Yeah, the name's Lionel, and i'll be coming with you guys.." He nodded and reached out a hand. "Good to have you aboard, Lionel." He said. Lionel just glanced at his hand and walked past, into an unoccupied ship, flipping down the viewscreen. "Lets go already.."
