Yeah....I think everybody's known about this ever since Ep3's release...
Anyway...I hope they're released on DVD since I don't have TV service.

All things considered, that's old news and therefore nothing, as new and old cancel out.

New information on it, though.
I don't recall a "much more dramatic and darker" series.

I'm feeling a disturbance in the force. Lucas can't make Luke have adventures because he's not supposed to have had any before the beginning Episode 4. If he does, he'll trash his own canon and I won't like that very much. Also, since I'm really not interested in watching some annoying, c-grade child actor repair moisture vaporators for 100 episodes, it had just better not be about Luke or I'm not going to buy it. Shooting womp-rats does not qualify as 'action.' That's all I've got to say.

Interesting. Why not just release more movies about the books? Or about the Old Republic. I'd personally like to see some of these Sith Lords in rebellion when the "only two" Sith law was created. Some of the wars back in the past. Perhaps in Yoda's younger years.

They could even make Jedi Academy and New Jedi Order into a series.
Have Amy Allen (http://www.starwars.com/bio/amyallen.html) play a human Jaden Korr and have Mark Hamill make the occasional appearance, the way the President was supposed to in West Wing.

It'll be like the O.C.! We can call it the T.F.B. (Tattooine Farm Boys)
Nothing ever happens, but we'll have all kinds of highschool style drama unfolding...ON A DIFFERENT PLANET! OMG!

Is Camie gonna be in it? I'll be there :p
I have no interest in this and have never followed any news on it, but I will tune in out of curiosity.

Did I mention Rosh would be killed in every episode, ala South Park's Kenny? :cowdance

They could even make Jedi Academy and New Jedi Order into a series.
They can also film chimpanzees defecating on small children, but I hope they don't, as that wouldn't make for very good television.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I thought it was "Must not be!" :p
That was the result of translating the subtitles to another lanuage(Chinese?) then translating them back to english. These horrible subtitles were mentioned many months ago here at the swamp.
I'm feeling a disturbance in the force. Lucas can't make Luke have adventures because he's not supposed to have had any before the beginning Episode 4.
The movies never said he had no adventures on Tatooine before he found R2. Just think of all the adventures he could have had:
1. watching sand.
2. driving landspeeder over miles and miles of sand.
3. watching Uncle Owen drive a landspeeder over miles and miles of sand...
Seriously though, I'm sure they could at least find enough junk for a season. Farm accidents, sand people attacks, Luke using minor force abilities without knowing it.

Hello, people. If the show were about Luke (which it's not), we would at least see some cool T-16 Skyhopper action. And finally some CGI Womp Rats

So they really are going throught with this?
I just wonder why you haven't heard of it. Lucas told the press of a possible Star Wars TV series after Episode III was out.

I heard (http://www.ananova.com/entertainment/story/sm_1763134.html) that the series will be about the rise of the empire. Even though they say they wont tell what side it will show from, I don't think it will be exclusivly on Tatooine..
*hearts camie*
the tv series having anything to do with luke would be an insanely stupid idea and devalue the whole idea. Especially as i suspect they'll keep up the annoying tendancy of sticking in disbelief stretching co-incidences and references to the other movies.
Following the rise of the empire, darth vader, even han solo or the creation of the rebelion, that might all work. Luke on tatooine... nope..
*hopes for Caravan of Courage: the series*

Aye, thought occured to me as well. "Darker than the movies" ? :\ Evil Moisture vaporaters coming up.
Well, I probably won't get to see those here.

<omgwtf smilie>
Wasn't that his original intent with Star Wars ? TV series ?
I think his original intent was to capture the feel of those tv series like old school flash gordon, etc..
But i also think he changes his story about his original intent every time the wind changes.. and making a tv series like those old school serials just wouldn't work in today's day and age, especially given what SW has become.
