i play kotor and TSL on the xbox and i was talking about it with my teacher. he claims to have found every thing in the game and that there is another darker version and your special crystal. he said it was in some temple but wouldnt tell me with one, so i checked all the temples but never found one. and if theres a dark version shouldnt there be a light version? dosnt the original go to what ever side you take? was he lieing or am i too stupid to see it?

Well for one thing, what game? Kotor there is no darker crystal for any of the weapons, except for the two or three special crystals got from the downloadable content of the game. TSL, it's easy to get crystals like orange, brown and such that look darker than red. There is no black or white saber or crystal in either game, and barely any crystals are found in temples, they're found randomly in TSL.

In my opinion, I think he was just pulling your chain.

i don't know abput the "i've found everything" statement. with the random item generator (grrrr....), that would be quite an incredible feat

I think your teacher is a liar. There is only one "darker side" of your crystal that is for you, and it's depends if you're darkside when Kreia tunes it in balance with you.

Nothing that deals with a temple or anything.

Never mind. ^^^What he said.

There's also Quixoni (or whatever it's called) that you can trade for on Onderon. It's DS restricted, so there's the "dark crystal" portion of jedi_exile's post.

As for the "temple" part, I can only imagine that he's referring to Freedon Nadd's short saber on Dxun.

I'm willing to bet that this was a quick hallway conversation between classes and that the teacher either wasn't very clear or jedi_exile misunderstood a lot of what he was hearing. Just my 2 cents.

i think your teacher has too much time on their hands, if never done every quest

Then he's making it up.

...or he's thinking of the Solari crystal that you find in Naga Sadow's tomb on Korriban in KotOR.

On a complete sidenote: I have a much better understanding of why we're ranked 50th in the nation on public education. This guy is very lucky that you're not my kid.

Have you ever tried asking your teacher a few questions about one of the KotOR games that you already know the answers to, just to see whether or not he really knows what he is talking about?

Hold on, which game are you talking about? KotOR or TSL?

And if your teacher doesn't really like teaching, maybe his replacement can give you a hand with your spelling and grammar. This internet thingie is just ruining the English language.

Really! You should check your grammar, for I don't think you are keeping up with their pace.

Yes, I noticed that too but I chose not to say anything as I thought it would serve no useful purpose. Your decision to comment solely on jedi_exile's grammar and nothing else though brings to mind an old adage that I think aptly applies in this situation:

The pot calling the kettle black

So anyway, jedi_exile, I've never heard of nor encountered the dark crystal your teacher refers to. As I think you've already surmised, he is yanking your chain on this one.
