Well, I just got off a 9 hour flight to florida and it sucked, putting me in the mood to design a new airline, (All rules here show relevance to my experience

Shakey Air Rules:

1) Sit in your seat, calmly, quietly and keep still, do not kick the seat in front.

2) If whoever may be behind you starts kicking your seat, you may (You are encouraged) to shout "Stop Kicking my Bloody chair!" (Those who put this phrase into a good Michael Caine impression will be given a tenner)

3) If you are seated in Bog standard class (Economy) you must not in anyway block the projection screen for more than five seconds.

4) If somebody ahead is blocking the large screen in Bog standard class, use the Handgun provided under your seat to aim for what ever part of the body is blocking the screen and shoot, even if you are not watching whetever tripe is on there. Do not worry about shooting a hole in the plane, All shakey Air planes are amour plated.

5) In the event of an emergency landing first put on the yellow life vest, it will make finding your body much easier. then put your head between your legs and kiss you're ass goodbye.

I fly quite a lot, and I don't find the flights to be nearly as bad as the rest of it. Delays, cancellations, and all that. I was once stuck in the Toronto airport for 26 hours. I was sick as a dog the whole time, too. And there was this little kid who kept chewing on my shoe while I was trying to sleep. I kicked him in the face, but he just laughed at me.

The manuver that I was refering to is this:

You fly straight up, untill you stall. Then turning left or right, so the nose of the plane faces the ground, after reaching overspeed you pull up into a loop and come out of the manuever. Like I said before I don't know if jack knife is the proper name.

favorite plane has to be the P-51 Mustang.

P-51-Mustang:

Engines: 1150 HP AV 1710
Speed: 387MPH
Length: 32.3ft
Range: 1,530mi
Wingspan: 37ft
Weight: 11,800lbs
Ceiling: 41,900ft
Armaments: 6 machine guns

P-47 Thunderbolt:

Engines: 1 2300hp P&WR 2800
Speed: 428MPH
Length: 36.1ft
Range: 475mi
Wingspan: 52ft
Weight: 19,400lbs
Ceiling: 42,000ft
Armaments: 8 machine guns

Conclusion: The Thunderbolt is a lot better

P-51 was better. Two guns didn't make a difference...the RANGE did.
Using the same evidence, you could say the P-61 was better than BOTH because it had 8 .50 caliber guns, four of them in a turret.

P-47 Thunderbolt

Range: 800 miles (1297 km)
armement: 8 .50 caliber machine guns

an yes the P-51 Mustang has a bigger range: 1000 miles (1610 km) but the P-47 Mustang was originally designed as an interceptor, it found it's true role as a hard-hitting ground-attack aircraft.

The P-61 Black Widow has four 20mm cannon,
four .50 cal machine guns in optional dorsal turret and a range of 1200 miles (1932 km)

Anyways my opinion is that The P-47 Thunderbolt rules

This thing about the P-51.

1) the mustang if more manuverable then the thunderbolt.

2) it is faster than the thunderbolt.

3) when it was introduced air supperiority was won.

4) it just wasn't for escorting bombers, it was an all purpose fighter.

No way, the P-47 had a max speed 41 MPH faster than the P-51...
and the results revealed after the war showed that the Thunderbolt had the most kills (specially on tanks and other ground units).

go there,
It tells you how the P-47 Republic Thunderbolt also know as the Juggernaut was the best WWII aircraft...(it is compared with the P-51 and P-38)
the most important part is at the end when the dozen reasons why the T-bolt was the superior fighter are given.

The Jug's record against all opposing aircraft is remarkable. The ratio of kills to losses was unmistakably a winner. Thunderbolt pilots destroyed a total of 11,874 enemy aircraft, over 9,000 trains, and 160,000 vehicles.

ATTENTION NUTE GUNRAY!!!!!

I have aquired a copy of F-22 L3. Give me one week to get aquainted with my newest fighter and I'll take you mano a mano in a true dogfight... No missiles.

Hey.
I am not a 'pigeon' or a '****hawk',
And I don't 'drive planes' or bark commands.
I don't wear bowls, beanbags, or odd things on my head,
Although I am certain they are really, really... comfortable.
I'm in a Squadron, not a Corps.

I speak to my Cadets - not scream at them;
And I polish my boots, not my shaved head.
I can proudly wear my blue uniform and wedge.
I have a Warrent Officer First Class, not a "Chief" or a "Gunny"
Recruits, not 'New Entrys';

And that flying is a truly proud and noble profession!
A wedge is a hat; a thermal is an air movement;
And it's called 'a boot' - not 'an unpolished shoe';
It is one of the largest services,
The only one with morale,
And the best Cadet unit of all!

MY NAME IS RYAN!
AND I AM AN AIR CADET!!!

I must now do the same. Time to dust off the helmet and make sure the old girl still has Nute "Stormhawk" Gunray on her canopy frame...
