View Full Version : [Other]StarWars: Diddies

05-24-2006, 05:29 PM
I checked with the Mods and they said this was ok. I wrote this diddy using one of my favorite songs "Eye of the Tiger" and turned it into a spoof for KOTOR. So here it is. I give you:

The Eye of the Jedi

Rising up back on the streets
Take your time, take some chances
Don't lose your grip on the saber in your hands
You must fight just to keep him alive

It's the eye of the Jedi, the will of the Force
Rising up to the challenge of Lord Malak
And the strong former Lord
Runs him through with the blade
And she's watching us all with the eye of the Jedi

Face to face, feeling the heat
Have the strength, have the courage
He stacks the odds when he takes in the strength
Of the Forge with the will to conquer

It's the eye of the Jedi, the will of the Force
Rising up to the challenge of Lord Malak
And the strong former Lord
Runs him through with the blade
And she's watching us all with the eye of the Jedi

Rising up, straight from the heart
Hanging tough, feeling love
She beats the odds drawing on her love's strength
Gives a kiss when her love Carth survives

It's the eye of the Jedi, the will of the Force
Rising up to the challenge of Lord Malak
And the strong former Lord
Runs him through with the blade
And she's watching us all with the eye... of the Jedi

The eye of the Jedi

Nice, can you do a version for the male Revan?

05-24-2006, 08:08 PM
It's good, although very disturbing. Keep it up. :)

05-24-2006, 08:26 PM
@Alkonium: Maybe with male Revan on a different song
@Hallucination: I know it's disturbing. I got the idea from kotorfanmedia

I'll have another up when the muse bites. :D

05-24-2006, 08:51 PM
Kewl Man, you certinaly have a good ear for music.
BastilaandRevan :lsduel:

05-25-2006, 12:16 PM
thats a good piece of work. does it use the tune and beat of The Real Slim Shady?

05-25-2006, 01:34 PM
It actually fits with the song Eye of the Tiger (Rocky III). I have the CD and my brother plays it like crazy on his stereo so the tune was stuck in my head.

05-25-2006, 02:07 PM
actually, the Eye of the Tiger is a remix of Eminem's The Real Slim Shady, it has the same tune, only its a bit lengthened.

^
The song 'Eye of the Tiger' came out _long_ before Eminem was ever on the scene. Eminem was only 9 or 10 when Survivor wrote/sang it. It's Eminem reusing it, not the other way around.

Fun lyrics!! I can so hear the song in my head. :D

05-25-2006, 04:01 PM
This was actually an interesting piece of literature. And I thought it'll be too weird for my taste, though it is somewhat weird. In the end I'd like to second that suggestion on the male Revan song.

05-25-2006, 04:34 PM
I am writing one as we speak for a male Revan. It will be a rap song. That is all I can release to the press at this time :D

05-25-2006, 04:55 PM
Just as long as it doesn't start with:
''Yo! Yo! Yo! My name is Revan and I'm here to say:
There's a certain Sith I have to slay!''

05-26-2006, 09:54 PM
As requested by two of our forumites, I have a new diddy concerning a male Revan. It was quite difficult to do but I think it sounds ok. Being a WWE wrestling fan, especially of John Cena, I made this diddy a rap diddy based on Cena's rap Right Now from his album You Can't See Me. This is actually a love rap to Bastilla from Revan and a few crew members.
You would have to hear the rap in order to get the gist. Hope you guys enjoy and stay tuned for Malak's own ballad :D

Revanís in Love
Here now a minute and Iíll lighten the mood
Just telliní it like the chroniclers do
A bit of soul food Iíd be rhyming to
And if you love me, Iím writing for you
Ride now put another coat of wax on my ride
For a minute put the beef on Malak aside
Cause this guyís got a ride to chill to
And enjoy life for five minutes, itís not gonna kill you
Itís ok to be hard and stay true man
But at the end of the day, we all human
This oneís for you, the one Iím close to
Iíll show some love, itís what Iím supposed to
Right now forget the ends and the bends
Weíll pop a cold one Sweet and toast it with our friends
Give me a kiss cause weíre tight now
And everythingís lookiní pretty good right now

[Refrain: Mission and Juhani]
Oh love, Revanís in love
He says so to make you happy
Oh love, Revanís in love
From the bottom of his heart he tells it to you

Right now baby, youíre goiní for a ride
So place that saber on your hip aside
Your souls mate here in the Outer Rim
Touch hands you know you love him
Relax baby, now youíre here
Sit back baby, with you hearts endeared
And a kiss to him whose crowded near
For the Masters passed on in spirit they there
Revaníll love you with a must
Heíll beat Malak or suffer a bust
Heíll fight for baby and tell you youíre strong
Whispering in your ear after righting the wrong
Now follow your heart baby everythingís real
When you together you enjoy that feel
Thank Force that youíre healthy and youíre keepiní it tight
You keep your dreams lighthearted when you see him at night

[Refrain: Mission and Juhani]
Oh love, Revanís in love
He says so to make you happy
Oh love, Revanís in love
From the bottom of his heart he tells it to you

And right now Iím so grateful to my brothers and the old man
To my girl letís get it on like the slow jam
To everyone Iím traveliní down the lanes with
Yíall my family I know that you know this
My heart goes out to one girl
Who stayed by me under a watchful eye
Cause of Jolee watchiní from afar
Bastilla you my heart and nothiní but love
Thanks my Sweet for all that you was
A strong little lady makiní me crazy with love
You saved me that is a fact
You helped me rebuild when I shouldíve collapsed
And right now Iím blessed let me give you a kiss
And thank the Force for giviní me back focus
Yeah my darliní, what can I say?
Itís a love from day one, you showed me the way

[Refrain: Mission and Juhani]
Oh love, Revanís in love
He says so to make you happy
Oh love, Revanís in love
From the bottom of his heart he tells it to you

05-26-2006, 10:22 PM
It's good, although I can't quite see it as a love rap. Or any kind of rap. But then again I'm not the type to read lyrics and imagine what it sounds like. Keep up the great work! :D

P.S. Could you post the lyrics from the original?

05-27-2006, 12:51 PM
I'll PM them to you when I find them. I learned it by listening to it and I think the original artist calls it hip hop or something. I'll try and find it.

05-27-2006, 12:56 PM
Alright, thank you, and keep up the great job. :)

05-29-2006, 12:36 PM
Query: Hip hop, eh? The thing when your hips hop?

(Just trying to be funny, I know what hip hop is :). Keep up the good work JM12)

05-29-2006, 02:53 PM
ya good work dude. and the EotT thing, i was referring to Shaggy's remix of Eminem's song. w/e. you did good

06-06-2006, 12:44 PM
In continuing with my semiinsane state, I created a new diddy using the song Foresaken from the movie Queen of the Damned. This type I thought suited the occasion in that this is sung by Darth Malak himself. I hope you enjoy and stay stuned for a Bindo moment :D

Dark Lord Malak

Iím hatiní you
You see Iím rising in a dark power
Clouded by the dark side of the Force
At last I say:
My angerís rising
I will conquer and Iíll make you dig your grave
But youíve escaped my grasp now
Always foiling my plans
Youíll die Revan

You see I will not stop this searching
Bastilla will be mine
We will crush you and the Republic
I am the Dark Lord Malak

Iím hunting you
Why couldnít you just die on your blasted ship?
The Jedi saved, taking off the mask
At last revenge
My angerís boiling
I will crush you and will kill you for sure
You will fight me
And your memory
Master versus apprentice

You see I will not stop this searching
Bastilla will be mine
We will crush you and the Republic
I am the Dark Lord Malak

[Repeat Chorus]

Jae Onasi
06-06-2006, 01:36 PM
These are a lot of fun. Looking forward to more.

06-06-2006, 02:51 PM
im with her.
thats a good piece of work. i can just imagine the Dark Lord dressed in baggy bermudas and a long dog-tag with a reversed cap on his head rapping this out

06-06-2006, 03:21 PM
nice rhymes, lol although malak sucks as rapper

06-07-2006, 03:58 AM
That last one isn't a rap.
The last one is one of those Goth songs from the movie Queen of the Damned. It's the opening theme. Malak doesn't rap. He's Goth

06-07-2006, 05:31 AM
Malak the Metal-Man! He he, see the dual meaning in this? :D

Cygnus Q'ol
06-07-2006, 10:32 AM
OH Dude! You snapped! Holy :swear:

A flashfire of a lyrical gumbo simmered to perfection.
Das what I'm talkin' 'bout!

I was laughing so hard my eyes were watering as I tried to read Eye of theJedi.
BRILLIANT. I could hear the music clearly as I scrolled through. Although flashes of Stallone wearing a jedi robe and boxing gloves appeared in my head at times as I read.

I went to RAW when it was in Milwaukee a few months ago and I've been peeking in at times on Monday nights, so I know Sena's song. I was able to follow. nice rendition.
I can picture Juhani and Mission quickly waving their hands in front of their faces then activating their stealth units, disappearing. "You can't see me!"
I never saw Queen of the Damned, but when I do, I'm sure to smile.

Nice work. No wonder you haven't dropped anything on the Echani thread in a while, you've been busy honing your lyrical skills for the Diddies. Commendable.

It may be time for a country diddie. Bastilla sings Shania Twain, if you have time, of course.

...Oh, and by the way,

TRIPLE "H" baybay!!!!!! :hit4:

06-07-2006, 12:44 PM
Cygnus. The rap is not his entrance song but you can see the music video for Right Now on the WWE website. :D
Thanks for the praise...I think. ;)

06-08-2006, 04:13 PM
What's the next song you're planing? I was thinking, since you did a rock, hip-hop and metal (goth) song, you could try a pop, or a dance song next time.

06-09-2006, 02:07 AM
I am working on one involving Jolee Bindo but here is another one that I will leave you guessing as to where it comes from before I tell ya.

When Youíre a Sith

When youíre a Sith, youíre a Sith all the way
From your first bloody kill till your last dying day
When youíre a Sith ya do what ya can
They canít stop ya now, no one stays your hand
Youíre always alone but never disconnected
Youíve minions around but never well acquainted
Youíre semi-protected
Then you are set with a capital ĎSí
Which youíll never give up till they send ya to bliss
When youíre a Sith, you stay a Sith!!

When youíre a Sith youíre the bad boys around
Youíre with the man and his heavyweight crown
When youíre a Sith you grab what you can
Weíre not noobs here now we are grown up men
The Siths are in gear we always know the workings
We always walk tall cause all of our killings
Are lousy Republics
Here come the Siths like a tukata hound
If someone gets in our way they wonít be around
Here come the Siths stand away, stand aside
You get in the way we will beat your poor hide
Weíre drawiní the line and making us a claim here
Weíre taking whatís ours and having us a cold beer
Weíre something to fear
Here come the Siths, yeah, and weíre gonna beat
Every last ole Republic on the whole damn street
In the whole lousy galaxy!!! Yeah

09-10-2006, 12:39 PM
Ok I know it's been awhile since I posted a new diddy but I have a brand new one. It is another number from West Story. The last one was about the Sith and their gang on Dreshdae. This one is about the perks and falls of being on the Ebon Hawk with the gang, the EHawks. Sung to the number entitled America.

The Ebon Hawk

The Endar Spire, pride of the Republic
Let it be blown into bits
Always chased by the Sith fleet
Always the engines take a beatiní
And the blast to the seat
And too slow for speeding
And the crewmen complaining
I like the freighter Ebon Hawk
So take your complaints
And blow it out your rear

EHawk Gals:
I like to be on the Ebon Hawk
Just right for me on the Ebon Hawk
Everything here on the Ebon Hawk
Carth:Crammed in a seat on the Ebon Hawk

Revan:Playing a smuggler is so nice
Carth:One look at us and they shoot twice
Mission:I have my own swoop bike
Canderous:In a garage fit for a trike

Revan:Engines go vroom on the Ebon Hawk
Bastila:Hyperdrive zoom on the Ebon Hawk
Juhani:Fighters go boom with the Ebon Hawk
EHawk Guys:Nine in a room on the Ebon Hawk

Revan:Two new bunkrooms with more space
Carth:Lots of people standiní in our face
Revan:I have my own compartment
Carth:Zaalbar will have to stand bent

Revan:Lights are bright on the Ebon Hawk
EHawk Guys:And always a fight on the Ebon Hawk
EHawk Gals:Travelís all right on the Ebon Hawk
EHawk Guys:If you're air tight on the Ebon Hawk

Revan and Bastila:Here we have speed on our side
EHawk Guys:Unless they tractor our own hide
Revan and Bastila:Speed to counter an ambush
EHawk Guys:Speed turrets that are sluggish

Cleaning out grime on the Ebon Hawk
History of crime on the Ebon Hawk
Dangerous times on the Ebon Hawk
Revan:You forget Iím on the Ebon Hawk

Carth:The cockpit is a welcome room
Revan:I know a tunnel to go through. Bye-bye
Carth:Nothing in there to jeer
Revan:Then you miss all the fun in here

All: Ole!

awesome! i could picture the tune in my mind! you go girl! :D
the last line was a classic, though:

09-10-2006, 01:11 PM
Nice. I could almost hear the melody of the song.

"Crammed in a seat on the Ebon Hawk" and "Nine in a room on the Ebon Hawk" had me just howling. :D

*takes a bow*
Thank you all. Believe me, I was busting up when I reread those lines. That one I had jogging around in my overactive brain for a long time. It was in there with a disturbing number called "I Feel Evil." Thank you all for bustin' a gut and enjoying this. I'll be out with another as soon as I have the lyrics down.

09-11-2006, 11:46 PM
Those are Hilarious. Keep it up.
Off Topic, but doesn't Green Day have a version of "Eye of the Tiger" as well?

09-11-2006, 11:57 PM
Very good, now I have to see West Story so I can appreciate your effort more.

09-12-2006, 04:02 AM
@ Maverick: I wouldn't know. I am only familiar with the version on Rocky III

@ Hallucination: Always appreciative. I think you may like West Side Story.

09-12-2006, 09:39 AM
Those are Hilarious. Keep it up.

i dont think so. but the words "Green Day" got me thinking. i'm just gonna rework the lyrics of one of their songs to suit SW. it'll probably be about the CloneWars. id post it here, but it's JM12's thread. of course, if i had her permission...

09-12-2006, 12:16 PM
Could I beta it for you before posting it? I'll give you your due credit unless you want to start your own.

09-13-2006, 12:55 PM
sure, no prob. i'll PM it to you once i've done it. i'm not starting a new thread because i probably won't make another one.

09-18-2006, 04:17 PM
Well here is a new one. It is actually comes from my fic Heart of the Guardian. It is an Avalonian song about a flower of all things. The tune though sould be familiar as it comes from another musical.

Jasilyn, Jasilyn
Every morning you greet me
Pure and white
Shining bright
You bring joy here to greet me
Blossom of love
May you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Jasilyn, Jasilyn
Bless the morning forever

Diego Varen
09-18-2006, 04:22 PM
Very short, compared to your other ones. I like it though. And I don't recognise where it is from.

09-18-2006, 05:00 PM
Short and sweet. Keep it up.

09-19-2006, 12:03 PM
@ Pottsie: It is in Ch 21 of Rise of the Blood King. It's the song Kirabaros sings to Mission on Rakata Prime.

09-23-2006, 12:49 PM
OK. It's been awhile since my Jasilyn song so I have a new number for you. This is in honor of our forum mum Jae Onasi who wrote one of the best fics on Jolee Bindo. This is done to the song I Will Survive and comes from the point of view of my favorite cranky Jedi: Jolee Bindo. So without further ado, enjoy...

Will I Survive?

I admit I was afraid
Shoot I was petrified
I never thought that Nayama would fall to the darkside
Iíve sat here thinking what else could go wrong
Itís been so long
Then she had to come along
Now Iím back
And here to fight
Though Iím just an old man watching two lovebirds ruin my poor sight
I shouldíve stayed home
I shouldíve shooed her away
I shouldíve known sheíd nag me to help her save the day

Standing there
Right in my door
Wondering why I never asked about the free food before
The Wookiee smells like dirt
The Twiílek, a mouthy little thing
And Revan and Carth have their little fling

And I sigh
Will I survive?
These youngsters will haunt me till the day I die
Dammit Iím an old man
Just here to give advice
I just hope she wonít have to pay a price

So we searched
For the Maps
Trying to help my mate Sunry, the poor ole broken chap
She asks me more questions
And soon and very soon
She had to nag about dear ole Exar Kun
And here we are
Upon the Forge
Sheís gone through the door to face him alone
So we stand here waiting
Ready to get her and flee
Waiting for her to find her destiny

Thank you. I busted up every time I wrote a line for this piece. This one was for you Jae. :)

10-24-2006, 05:06 PM
Alrighty my loyal readers I have a new one that I just churned out. For all of the older members of our illustious forums, this is a diddy done to a classic tune called Buttons and Bows. It was sung by Bob Hope in his comedy Paleface and later in Son of Paleface. It is a 1930's tune. What I did was make it seem like a certain pilot was singing this for his gal. Without further ado I give you...

Boots and Robes

A planet here, a planet there is the Outer Rim to me
Give me a place, anywhere in space
And my gal with a pretty face

East is Kashyyyk and west is Manaan
And the one that I have chose
Is down there where they donít wear them frills and flowers but boots and robes
Gloves and sabers and boots and robes

Donít bury me in Ahto City
Take me where the sand dunes grow
Letís go down to Anchorhead town and hit the desert in Sand People clothes
For youíll stand out in boots and robes

You look good in verpine
And sweet in kinrath glue
And Iíll love ya longer, always
In a place where we can kiss

Weíve come so far to an unknown star
And weíve saved the galaxy
Letís burn sky to where they have the crystal coves that shine and glow
And youíre all mine in boots and robes

Give me sageís trimminí where my galís a woman
In tight fitting robes but no peek a boo clothes
With Deralian perfume that fills the room
Youíre all mine in boots and robes

10-24-2006, 06:56 PM
Thank you and I just found my other diddy from another 1930's song called Whingding. I will post it but I will warn you that it is a lighthearted tune and it has some disturbing revelations seeing as evil is a pleasure to some.

What a Night for a Killing

Iím waiting and orderiní
Tonight Iíll do some killiní
Time to end this now
Iím laughiní and drumminí
Cause their end is cominí
Things are prepped to go
And now to get them now

What a night for a killing
My Bastilaís more than williní
To try and kill that Revan
Things are ripe for a killing
And I end this now and grab the galaxy
Iíve got a date to keep and wipe out the Republic fleet
And spruciní up to leash out a killing spree
I will see her and sheíll face me
Tonight will be her undoing
Yes siree

What a night to be killing
My desireís flying higher than the sky
Tonightís my night to have a killing
Iíll leave the fleet in ruins
And Revan will be done in
Here on the Star Forge tonight

10-25-2006, 01:14 PM
Yes I do. This one is another old favorite based on the tune 'A Four-Legged Friend.' I dedicate this to igyman since he seems to take pleasure with everyone's favorite assassin droid. It is a bit short but this is all about droids now. :)
My next performance is to a Beach Boys tune and involves a Jedi Ice Princess. That will be posted later.

A Four-Wheeled Friend

A four-wheeled friend
A loyal little friend
A trusty little astrodroid
Heís spunky and loyal up to the bolt end
That wonderful 1-2-3 four-wheeled friend

HKís an assassin and an assassin can kill
Cause heís got a bloody, murderous quirk
Heíd just as soon go on a murdering spree
And kill you with much wanted, joyous glee

A four-wheeled friend
A loyal little friend
A trusty little astrodroid
Heís always there helping right up to the end
That wonderful 1-2-3 four-wheeled friend

I Get Around! The one song I know has been KOTOR-ised. Another good one JediMaster12. A bit off-topic, JediMaster12, but when it is Christmas, I might do some diddies of Christmas songs. Is that alright with you (In a new Thread of course). Looking foward to more diddies.

10-25-2006, 04:05 PM
I Get Around was not the one I chose but I could see it as one. As for the Christmas diddies...you don't want to be around me for my ideas with my fav carols are...unique. Maybe we can post our insane humour together when comes the time Pottsie.

Well I was thinking of doing diddies like Happy Christmas (War is Over), Wonderful Christmastime and Merry Christmas Everybody. Perhaps you could do Carols and I'll do the modern day stuff. Anyway, I'm looking foward to your next diddie.

10-26-2006, 02:25 PM
That might work Pottsie. I can hear the laughter and the comments saying that I am insane. I guess I'll need a new room at Jaes Hotel Asylum.

On another note, I have my newest diddy for my thread. It is to my favorite Beach Boys tune called Fun, Fun, Fun. Surprisingly I left it the same title because I happen to know what Bastila was like before she became the Jedi Ice Princess. The stuff in parenthesis are the backgorund stuff in between the verses and stuff.

Fun, Fun, Fun

She got into the speeder and she cruised to the annual swoops now
See she blew off the meditation with Master Vrook now
With the holonet blasting, sheíll let out a wild whoop now
And sheíll have fun, fun, fun
ĎTil the Jedi Princess melts away
(Fun, fun, fun till the Jedi Princess melts away)

The other girls donít like her
ĎCause she walks and drives like a queen now
(She walks like a queen now, you walk like queen)
She makes the Coruscanti race look like a milk run now
(You drive like a queen now, you drive like a queen)
A lot of masters try to tame her but she leads them on a wild Bantha chase now
(You drive like a queen now, you drive like a queen)
And sheíll have fun, fun, fun
ĎTil the Jedi Princess melts away
(Fun, fun, fun til the Jedi Princess melts away)

Well you knew all along that Vrook would wise up to you now
(You shouldnít have ditched now, you shouldnít have ditched)
And since he took your set of freedom you can bet that your fun is all through now
(You shouldnít have ditched now, you shouldnít have ditched)
And you sit along with Vrook and you grow a thick ice sheet now
(You shouldnít have ditched now, you shouldnít have ditched)

And weíll have fun, fun, fun
While the Ice Queen appears again
(Fun, fun, fun, while the Ice Queen appears again)
And weíll have fun, fun, fun
While the Ice Queen appears again

Uh, Oh. I guess I'll need a new room at your Hotel Asylum Jae

Question: I've always wondered where Jae's Hotel Asylum is.

It's all in our heads. :D --Jae

it's a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away :D

Very nice, JM12. As always. Thanks for dedicating ''A Four Wheeled friend'' to me, but personally I would more likely call it a ''Two legged, Aratech Sniper Rifle wielding friend'', but then again, that's why you write them and I read them.

Well igyman I am in the process of trying to find a suitable tune for a whole song dedicated to HK and his murdering personality. Glad you enjoyed it.

A HK diddie? I bet igyman and RC will get kicks out of that.

we sure will! get it up soon, JM12!

Otherwise RC will have to find his own HK to terminate you.

How about Queen's 'We Will Rock You'? Or 'Every Breath You Take' by Sting? Which is not actually a love song, btw, it's about a guy who's really obsessive and paranoid. Sting writes some really wickedly dark songs.

You should post these at KFM, too--they'll love them there as much as we love them here. :D

10-28-2006, 11:35 PM
I actually have. They are in queue Jae. I'll consider the Sting song. I think I can come up with something good.

Diego Varen
10-29-2006, 05:45 AM
And I like Queen, so if I do a diddie, a Queen song will be on my list.

10-30-2006, 02:12 AM
That's a good idea Pottsie and I might consider it to. My head is full of things you don't want to know about. That's why Directrice Jae puts me on a strict regimen. :D

Enough about that. I have done it and have officially completed my first diddy concerning entirely of my favorite assassin droid HK-47. Sorry RC, you can't send him after me now. I used Sting's song Every Breath You Take. I hope it sounds right because I don't have the music and haven't heard it in awhile. I did have someone beta it so it's gotta be OK. As far as dedications go I dedicate this to both igyman and RC because of their love for homicidal droids. Enjoy.

Every Gun He Takes

Every gun he takes
Increasing the stakes
Every bone he breaks, every shot he takes
Heíll be hunting you

Here on Tatooine
Raidiní the Dune Sea
And he pulls his gun while the raiders run
Heíll be hunting you

Oh, he takes aim
The intent to maim
With his sniper rifle
With no little trifle
Home on Korriban
And he likes Yuthura Ban
Every gizka he bakes, every kill he makes
Heíll be hunting you

Since he longs to terminate a meatbag
He begs all hours and finds it a drag
He searches high and he searches low
Quivering to give the final blow
He keeps begging Revan, heís begging

On Manaanís blue sea
A prevented spree
And his poor core aches
With the scope he makes
Here on the Ebon Hawk
To Canderous heíll talk
ĎBout the good ole days every time he says
Heíll be hunting you
Every shot he takes, every kill he makes
Heíll be hunting you

Hehe, that song worked out really well with those lyrics. I love the 'every shot he takes, every kill he makes, he'll be hunting you'. I can hear Sting singing that variation.

10-30-2006, 03:57 PM
Thank you Directrice. I know that my insanity is reaching controllable levels with you monitoring it
I have an idea of one for Canderous and Mandalorians in general. I am looking at Everything I Do, I Do it For You. It just came to me while I was taking my GRE today.

10-30-2006, 04:02 PM
Yes!! Now this is one great HK diddie! Very very nice! I could hear the music as I read it.

10-31-2006, 07:09 AM
awesomeness! excellent, JM12! really well done, especially with manaan. how true it is

10-31-2006, 04:22 PM
Your welcome RC and igyman. My next number is one involving Canderous and Mandalorians with Everything I do (I Do It For You) and I have one concerning the F Exile and Atton with the song Faith of the Heart. Rakata Prime with Kokomo, another Beach Boys song. Yep I am wide spread about it.

11-17-2006, 05:30 AM
Looking forward to your next poem. Well, I like the songs. Good idea though. [Last post today, and I have to meditate.]

11-20-2006, 01:10 PM
Well. I wrote another diddy and this time it's to Rod Stewart's Faith of the Heart. For some reason the insane idea ran through my head that I should write something concerning the Exile and Atton. A little on the romantic side but given the circumstances for the tune...and it has opinions from both characters.
There is one line in there that is my personal favorite because it fit so well and I've seen it so many times mentioned in fics on KFM. Enjoy

Faith in Our Love

Itís been ten years
Traveling through the Outer Rim
So long a time
Until we met on Peragus here
And I could feel my heart come alive at last
But I am a Jedi
My heartís become too wild now
And heís there right by my side

Facing the threat of the Sith Lords
And going where the Force will take us
With Mira and Bao-dur
Searching for the Lost Jedi
From Telos to Korriban
We learn more about each other
Ignoring the old Jedi witch
With of faith
Faith in our love

Iíve been here a long time
Rotting in this prison cage
Playing pazaak here
Alone in my own mind
Then she came running through the door
There in her underwear
And I felt he urge to help her then
Though I didnít think of love

I know Iíve killed Jedi
My soul is dark inside
But she gave me another chance
I canít blow it now

Iíve been chased through space
And Iíve seen all the death
With him Iím free

Another good diddy JM12. Looking foward to seeing more and I should plan my Christmas diddies.

11-20-2006, 02:47 PM
Nice, JM12, very nice. Unfortunately, I don't have much more to say, except: keep it up. :)

11-20-2006, 03:34 PM
Since when did you say much igyman? :xp:
It's ok. I know you like them but I still hold that Will I Survive is my best. I just can't get that free food line out of my head.

I'm working on my Kokomo one. There is one set of lines in the tune that has me stumped but I'll see it through.

11-20-2006, 07:37 PM
Yeah, good poem or lyric, or both. eh, all I can say is keep it up. I agree with igyman.

11-21-2006, 01:05 PM
CSI: I call them diddies because that is exactly what they are. They are the insane drabbles of a slowly going insane college student who is looking for a way for her to relieve the stress. It's nowhere near as good as Wierd Al but it was his songs that inspired me to write these diddies.

01-18-2007, 10:03 PM
Is there laughing gas somewhere? My brother and I laughed so hard, we almost fell off our chairs. 'Fun, Fun, Fun' drove us nuts. And I let my brother read 'Every Gun He Takes'. Oh boy! Now for 'Faith In Our Love', I wasn't too sure of that song. I am not a big Rod Stewart fan. Excellent work JM12.

01-30-2007, 03:10 PM
It's been some time since I wrote another diddy with being busy writing research papers, booking rooms for performers and writing another chapter and preparing to graduate this June. Still I managed to come up with a brand new diddy.

First off I would like to extend any apologies to hardcore fans and to Ray Parker. This diddy is a spoof to the Ghostbusters theme. On another note I do not claim any responsibility for any damage done to your home computer because you cannot control the flow of liquid from your mouth. :)

With that said, here it is:

Jedi Knights

The Sith are awake in the galaxy
Who are we gonna comm? JEDI KNIGHTS
The only ones who could stand their fury
They are called JEDI KNIGHTS

They will fight the Sith
They will fight the Sith

The Sith are making chaos everywhere
Here they come JEDI KNIGHTS
Their leader built a destructive sphere
And we comm JEDI KNIGHTS

They will defeat the Sith
They will defeat the Sith

Who comes to the rescue? JEDI KNIGHTS

If you find yourself alone facing at Sith

They will kick Sith butt
Guardians of peace and justice
They will kick Sith butt

So whoíll come? JEDI KNIGHTS

If you get your right hand cut off

The baddies will run now
The light side never felt so good

They will find the Sith
They will find the Sith

Donít try to catch a Sith Lord

When they try to choke you and you donít know what to do
You should comm JEDI KNIGHTS

Theyíre gonna come JEDI KNIGHTS

Who do they comm? JEDI KNIGHTS

Here they come JEDI KNIGHTS

Swinging their sabers JEDI KNIGHTS

It has been some time JM12. I like this Diddy. Even though I haven't heard the Ghost Busters theme for a while, I could hear this Diddy playing in my head. Looking foward to more.

01-30-2007, 03:52 PM
Thanks Pottsie. I couldn't get the song out of my head after watching both movies and I felt the need to do something with it. I can say that it still runs through my head but I no longer have it interfering with other things.

02-12-2007, 02:23 AM
Hahahah!!! Ouch! Laughing too hard. Need...more...oxygen...to the...brain. Wooooo!!! Yes! That's better. That ranks right up there with, 'I Will Survive.' WOH!!   Tee Hee!!

Ok I have gone off the deep end I think...:xp:

Have you ever wondered what the padawans did behind the master's backs? Well this brand new diddy will tell you. Based upon the number A Hard Knock Life from the Broadway musical Annie, It's A Jedi's Life tell you what the padawans think of the Jedi Order at their young age. For all those who love Atris and Vrook, my apologies but it couldn't be helped.

Itís a Jediís Life

Itís a Jediís life for us
Itís a Jediís life for us
Stuck up masters, arrogant monks
Meditation, we are stuck
Itís a Jediís life

Got no chance to laugh near them
We act like drones near them
Austere faces instead of smiles
No emotions, none for miles
Itís a Jediís life

Master Atris warns against the darkside
Every day we have to the books
She says the downfall will we our pride
Itís easier than dealing with old Vrook

Kavar believes in teaching by doing
Lonna Vash encourages us to think
Zez-Kai-Ell speaks through his sparring
With them our life doesnít have to stinkóoh

Meditation life
Austere boring life
Full of lecture life
A Master Vrook life

Love we never get to feel
Love? Whatís that? Get real
Vrookís presence serves to smother
When youíre in the Jedi Order
Itís a Jediís life

Malak (imitating Vrook): Youíd do well to keep your emotions in check.
Serena/Exile (imitating Atris): Do you mock the Jedi Order?

Hide the pins for her hair
Make him growl in despair
Did you ever meet a perfect pair?

The Padawans: Yes masters.

Itís a Jediís life for us
Their rules serve to smother
When youíre in the Jedi Order
Itís a Jediís life
Itís a Jediís life
Itís a Jediís Life!!!

I haven't heard the proper version of this song, but I like it anyway. It's been a while since the last diddy and this Thread is back with a good diddy. Looking foward to more.

02-13-2007, 01:12 PM
You need to get out more Topsite. :xp:
This number was second on the annoying songs list in my book. I actually worked on the production crew and was in the pit orchestra when my high school drama club put this production on. At least our Annie was cute if not annoying :D
I have another idea for another number of this musical. It is to to be to the tune Little Girls. Only this time I'll call it Little Droids. With that said, no I will not bash our beloved HK. In fact I have an idea to emulate him a bit.

02-13-2007, 03:53 PM
Nice ones, JM12. Though I noticed about two typos in the last one. Keep up the good work.

04-05-2007, 04:49 PM
Alright ye huddled masses I have returned back on track with a new edition to my diddies thread. This one comes from another one of my favorite musicals called Guys and Dolls. Yeah I like Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. So Sue Me :xp:

Anyway, have you ever wondered what Revan was thinking about before he went with Malak and the Exile to join in the Mandalorian wars? Written to the number entitled The Oldest Established, these three young Jedi hear it from each other and their peers why they should go to war. This is done to the version produced for video by MGM and is called the The Oldest and Lasting. As a reminder: Revan and the Exile are both male.

The Oldest and Lasting

Exile: The Masters want us to stay
Malak: That won't keep Mandalorians at bay
Revan: And they want us to wait, with the Republic as bait

Exile: Master Kavar will understand the call
Malak: But Master Vrook holds the ball
Revan: And the way things are now, Master Atris says no

Exile and Malak: So the call to aid is a must
Revan: But te masters say we will bust

Jedi Peers:
Look it's good ole Jedi Revan
Revan, Revan, Revan the best
If you want a challenge
He'll give you a shot
Against the Mandalorians he'll make them rot
For it's good ole Jedi Revan
And those brutes he'll lick
Showing that nothing ever defeat us the Republic

There are Jedi who will gladly follow you
We will follow you to there
And an awful lot of trouble and the fellow'll make it double

Exile and Malak and Revan: If the masters'll let go we could end this war

Jedi Peers:
Yes it's good ole Jedi Revan
Revan, Revan, Revan our man

If you want to aid our friends
I'll make it so we got to the end

Jedi Peers:
And we'll follow ole Revan
And the enemy's butt we'll kick
Proving for once and for all we are the Republic

When do we go?
When do we leave?

Exile and Malak and Revan: Gotta go to the front or the Republic'll burn

All: And we will help the oldest and lasting friend the Republic!

Exile and Malak and Revan: Gotta go to the front of the Republic'll burn

I might be wrong but is of supposed to be or? Anyway, nice comeback Diddy JM12. What have you got planned next?

04-05-2007, 05:48 PM
It's or Tops. I'll fix it. The next diddy I have in mind has to do with Morgana and Carth. Still working it out but I think it will be funny. I'll fix that error.

11-08-2007, 05:05 PM
After long last I have a new diddy for your enjoyment. It took me awhile to come up with this but it was one that had been bugging me for a long time.

Did you ever wonder how Carth and Morgana's last fight went? Written to the number Sue me from Guys and Dolls, this will give you all the answers.

Dearie, Sweetie

You promised that youíd never go back
You promised me youíd stay right here
But you signed up again
And youíre strapping the belt
And youíre off into space again
And I watch the days go by

Carth: Morgana

Morgana: And every day I cry

Carth: Morgana!

Morgana: My heart could just die

Calm down and tell me
Tell me
Whatís on your mind dearie?
Iíll miss you
You can yell and hate me
Hate me
Remember sweetie
I go for you

Morgana: You are supposed to stay here with us

Alright already, I admit it
Alright already itís done
Iím going
So darling, sweetie
Time to leave
I love you

You fly over here, you fly over there
You go everywhere but stay home dear
Iím sick of you leaving me and Dustil here
Till you come home again
And I watch the days go by

Carth: Morgana

Morgana: And every day I cry

Carth: Morgana!

Morgana: My heart could just die

My darling, hear me
Hear me
This is for you dearie
For you
This is for freedom darling
I have to keep flying

Morgana: When you leave home you leave a void

Alright already shout it from the rooftop
Alright already I know
Iíve to go
So wait here for me
One more time for me
I love you
There you go
Youíre leaving again
Iím not gonna stand for that again
And Iím telling you now Iím mad at you
And I watch the days go by

Carth: Morgana, Morgana!

Morgana: And every day I cry

Carth: Morgana!

Morgana: My heart could just die

Dearie, sweetie
I have to go sweetie
Iíll miss you

I was just checking and it's been three years since my last diddy. Man I am straggling. Lol. Anyway I was finished with a task at work and had some time on my hands and a wicked thought crawled into my head and created a brand new diddy.

This time it is to one of my most favorite tunes ever, The Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson.

This diddy, after I wrote it sounds like a drunk Carth pining for his lost Sith girl. Heck I think he actually wrote and sung it in a Karyoke bar. Anyway here is another diddy for you to enjoy.

Since the Day She Left

People say that the Force conspired
To pair me up with her
Although she was a smuggler on the Spire
She was a soldier

She was a good friend of mine
She became one of the Jedi
Here at home now I pine
Since the day she left
She's gone, she's gone

Since we landed on the planet Dantooine
We've been on a mission
Flying to Kashyyk, Manaan, even Tatooine
Til we met Darth Bandon

On the Star Forge we fought together
Darth Malak met his end there
As a hero, she was
Given the Cross of glory
She was a Sith once
Prodigal Knight ensconced
It's true...
