Wally the space dolphin was absolutely the very first one ever, and here's why:

Wally visited George Lucas in a dream back in the seventies, and presented him with visions of a mostrous space net, a heroic dolphin and the tuna who sought to oppose him. George got a few details wrong, but the basic impetus was all Wally's doing.

Decades later, LFL clandestinely set up XWA as an unmarked shrine to the celestial dream dolphin who came in the night with the original inspiration for the mighty Lucas Empire. Wally was on the posting field in UBB code long before any hairy little hominids had a chance to drag their stench in along with the rest of the internet, and is the only member of the forum who has been involved in every post.

So all bow to the space dolphin. http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/eek.gif

Who do you think created Wally?

Issac Asimov. I will return to the children's section of the library and find the book with the picture of the space dolphins and scan it

Zoom Rabbit
02-14-2001, 08:36 PM
Umm...Wally tells me that it was the other way around, and Isaac Asimov is actually a very sophisticated android experiment of Wally's that escaped and is now defiantly living a free existance down here in the gravity well.

I'm not sure what Wally's into this time, kids. http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/rolleyes.gif

JR2000Z
02-14-2001, 09:15 PM
HA! Your both wrong. Issac Asimov wrote many science fiction stories for kids and for adults.I got a whole book on him.

Admiral

I think Wally came from a secrete government experiment to send Dolphins into orbit.

I broke into a military base early last year, and stole a taped recording of the only message the dolphins that were launched into space ever sent back to Earth. It was very faint, and had to be severely edited to remove the static, but after trying for months to decipher it, I pressed the play button one day, and heard, in a crystal clear voice, the following words:
'So long, and thanks for all the fish.' http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/wink.gif
