What KotOR planet would you like to be exiled to?
Her is another question, which I thought it would be fun to ask. It can be from KotOR I or KotOR II.

***I didn't have room for Nar Shaddaa.***

Well definetly not Malachor V or Korriban (Even though I like that Planet), so I picked Tatooine. If Nar Shaddaa was on there, I would have picked that.

Onderon is relatively temperate and has both a lot of nature and a human civilisation, so I guess I'd like to be exiled there ...
Kashyyk would be pretty cool too I guess, however "How many trees do you find interesting before you realize you're bored?" :p

If i was exiled, that most mean that the Jedis kick me out, so i would go to Korriban and join the Sith and get back at the Jedi <Evil laught>

Yeah. I like Jolee's hut. I think it would be cool to live like Yoda, but with bigger occomidations.

I don't care what planet it is, as long as it involves a dozen or more Jimbo replicas catering to my every whim.

Heh. I agree. It would be awesome living with the Wookies. Well, at least before they are all enslaved by the Empire.

Yeah. I like Jolee's hut. I think it would be cool to live like Yoda, but with bigger occomidations.
Remember Episode III, the area where they were fighting would be great for building a beach house. It beat out the Rakata homeworld for me because at least Kashyyyk has a starport.

Well, at least before they are all enslaved by the Empire.....Kashyyk's villages destroyed......wroshyr trees burt to a crisp......women and children fleeing into the forests, only to be found and killed later.....decapitated wookies and the ripped up bodies of clone troopers strewn across the ground....grotesque jedi corpses.....on second thought, I'd like to live there untill about 30 BBY.
Uh? :eyeraise: That must be in some EU schlock... didn't happen in the movies. ;)

Darkkender
06-17-2006, 02:43 AM
Uh? :eyeraise: That must be in some EU schlock... didn't happen in the movies. ;)

Just because it didn't happen in the movies doesn't mean it wasn't part of the storyline between Episode III and Episode IV. Much of the EU stuff is simply fleshing out the backstory history that Lucas has spoke of in the past. For instance Following the clone wars the Empire did make slaves of the wookies. Chewbacca had been a slave that got rescued by a young Han Solo who decided that the life of an imperial soldier was not for him. Han's Rescue of chewie from slavery is where Chewbacca swore his life debt to Han.

Of course I suppose you could call this EU because it wasn't explained clearly in the movies and was explained in various books about the movies. :p

To not take the thread off-topic anymore: See that's the point, I consider most of the EU pure and utter schlock (Vong anyone?), like what was posted above...
Kashyyk's villages destroyed......wroshyr trees burt to a crisp......women and children fleeing into the forests, only to be found and killed later.....
That is unproductive, and is not what you do to enslave a race, to exterminate, yes. Pure EU schlock. I personally follow the older LF rule of 'the only things that are Cannon are the Movies, the screenplays, and radioplays' anything else will never be cannon for me.

Don't get me wrong there are stories and characters I really like, like ol' Kyle Katarn, but until I see them on the big screen in a Star Wars movie he just isn't cannon.

But this thread isn't the place for this so we should stop now. ;) -RH

Onderon... though I don't think you can get "exiled" to places like that.

Nar Shaddaa? There is so much space traffic thru that planet if anyone have a few credits in their pocket they can leave within 30 minutes after their "exile" (OF those 30 minutes 25 of them are spent on catching that twi'lek dancing girl)

DarthOxyClean

Uh? :eyeraise: That must be in some EU schlock... didn't happen in the movies. ;)

It was in the book Star Wars: Dark Lord. But I am sorry for sending this thread into off-topic space. I went a little overboard with the descriptions. So forget anything i said.

Anyways, Kashyyk would be an awesome place to live, with all of the wookies and forests and lakes. Correlia isn't on this poll, but its terrain closely resembles Earth, so Correlia would also be great. Tatooine and Korriban are too dry for my taste.

I choose Korriban. While studying art-history, I started to get this archeology perspective. It would be cool to hide out in the most illogical place, and it would be fun exploring the depths of Korriban's tombs. Think about the knowledge you could uncover. Maybe there are secrets hidden in them about the Ancient Sith, which could explain why they left the gallaxy.

Plus, I would love to live an Indiana meets Jedi life style.

I decided to go for Dxun. All those beefed-up sweaty Mandalorians? Yum. They can bring me zakkeg ears for my pleasure, and if they try to act up I'll have to teach them again why I'm the champion of the battle circle.

I would say Rakata Prime. They seem to have the best beaches.

But, I'm not sure how it would be with a huge, smoldering star forge sticking out of it and pieces of debris the size of starships raining down on me for a few years.

I'd probably say Dantooine or Kashyyk. I'd need an organic, aboreal, life-giving planet as I am inherently light and draw my power from the lightside of the force. However on these two planets, I would find enough trouble to keep me busy.

I´prefer Onderon, a great city to live on, some political conspirations, a bit of darkside in Onderon... And it has an spaceport!! The ideal place to hide betwen people and a big city.

I'd have to say on the ruins of Dantooine. A quite peaceful planet... WHERE I RULE!!! With plenty of new settlers... THAT I CAN MASSICURE!!! And plenty of lightsaber crystals... TO MAKE RULING AND MASSACURING EASIER!!! That is all... WORTHLESS HUMANS!!!

This was a tough decision, however Korriban was my choice so I could explore the sith tombs and become a very strong sith, then i would leave the planet anyway and use my dark knowledge to rule a small planet, like Coruscant or something. :lightning

Rakata Prime, but Dantooine is a very close second.

I couldn't decide between Rakata Prime and Manaan, but then it hit me - regardless of the beautiful beaches of Rakata Prime, that planet has those cannibal tribes and I wouldn't want to end up as some alien's dinner, so it's Manaan.

Taris doesn't exist. The whole actual planet was destroyed in an explosion, not just the stuff on the surface.

Ok, well the way the explosion looked in KotOR 1 it seemed as though the planet itself was destroyed. Sorry for the confusion.

Hmm, lets see...

Dantooine - bombed by Malak, then torn apart in conflicts between mercenaries, looters and farmers... Doesn't sound so inviting.

Kashyyyk - either Czerka slavers or Wookiees who hate all non-Wookiees... Better stay clear, I think.

Korriban - Either a deserted rock of evil power or the same, only filled with crazy, powerhungry, murderous Sith. Nuff said.

Manaan - Nice oceans, but filled with nice firaxan sharks... And no surface beyond a floating city. And with Revan being LS (officially at least), there the possibility that a huge fish could suddenly come around and turn all those nice Selkath into raving, murdering monsters. No thanks.

Rakata Prime - now this really is a nice planet... Unfortunately its inhabitants are not. If you don't come across those raiding Rakata who attack and kill you on sight, you'll probably bump into bands of Mandalorians or RANCORS roaming freely about!!! Need I say more?

Taris - surface bombed by Malak, which probably means the place is crawling with rakghouls now. I think I prefer to remain human, if you don't mind (and even if you do...)

Tatooine - umemployed hunters, Czerka with failing business, and xenophobic sandpeople do not do much to improve on the aspects of settling down on a burning desert of a planet... and that's not counting the krayt dragons...

Dxun - Mandalorians and Sith tombs on a jungle planet crawling with cannoks, bomas, maalraas, zakkegs, and whatever other beastly monster you'd care to mention...

Malachor V - A planet of poisonous fumes that corrupt all who walk upon its surface and which now doesn't even exist anymore (assuming LS Exile), but then they probably forgot to put that in the brochure...

Onderon - Nice planet... in the city of Iziz. Otherwise wild jungle. Okay, so stay in the city... if you can handle the HIGHLY unstable political situation with random arrests and shootings, that is...

Ahem, how about none of the above? :)

Before the bombing, Dantooine. Nice scenery, a temperate climate, a completely rural landscape, and most likely beaches as well, given that there are rivers and waterfalls.

My vote goes to Onderon. Yes there is the political situation on the planet, but apart from that I thought it was rather nice!

If you were exiled it would most likely from the jedi so they wouldn't exile you to dantooine before the bombing because it's a jedi planet at that point.

I would want to be exiled to Taris so I could help rebuild and stuff, I would keep a large amount of lightsabers in my ship too. So when I got exiled I only lost the one. HAHA fools!

If they didn't build that machinery there in the first place, the Hrakert Rift disaster never would have happened, I don't think the Selkath would allow the Republic to build the device again, knowing what's down there, so there's no murdering Selkath danger.

One question: Taris and Telos are two different planets, right? I see some of you are confusing the two. Is Taris destoryed completely or just the surface?

BTW, Rogue15, your signiture is huge, isn't that not allowed? Are you allowed because you've over 10000 posts?

Jediphile
07-15-2006, 12:36 PM
Taris and Telos are different planets, yes. People probably confuse them because they were both bombed by Malak. However, Telos was betrayed by Saul Karath and then bombed my Malak's fleet early in the Jedi Civil War (in BBY 3959) three years before the events of KotOR1, when Taris is bombed (BBY 3956). Taris is not destroyed, though - but its surface was severely devastated for years.
