Rogue Droid Help (Possible Spoiler)

This is driving me insane!!! In KOTOR 1, I cannot for the life of me get the droid from the Rogue Droid sidequest to not attack me. I always have the sound dampener equipped before I enter the room. The door won't open unless I kill all of the droids, and they always shoot at me. Is that the problem? Should I not have any sound dampening stealth units? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??????

(*whimpers*)

Could someone please tell me EXACTLY what to do and what order to do it in to get the Rogue droid NOT to attack me???

And, yes, I insist on not killing him. I say this because there is always some tosser who thinks that I should be lazy and do it a different way.

RedHawke, have I told you lately how I love you?

I figured it out; that guide put the idea in my head to put all of my sound dampening stealth units in a box, go in without any equipment, destroy all of the droids with Destroy Droid power, and immediately equip the sound dampener on the corpse. It worked perfectly! Thank you, and if you want to, please close this forum.
