Transferring mods from TSL to KoTOR..

I want to place a lightsaber mod from TSL into the original KoTOR for my own personal use. I want to take the Negiotiator staff from the USM of TSL, and place it into the original KoTOR. How would I go about doing this? I'm still relatively new to modding, and I haven't really done any modeling or anything, but I've done a little stat modifying on the original KoTOR once.

I have done some pruning of this thread... some comments had nothing to do with this question.

Fenix, I don't think the saber model will work in KotOR I as there are slight model differences between the 2 games, unfortunately.
