I don't know if this has been done before, but I have made a malak mask, its the first export so its still not positioned right, anyways, I was just messing around, but I got a few more ideas for it.. ;)

So anybody tried this before?

Heh, lot of Malak related things popping up lately...Inyri's mask, my head and now head as mask 0.o....

Good idea, tough hair is still visible on second screen.

Agh! Wow... that freaked me out to look at. It could be a joke item I suppose. Something that Darth Revan made from his old apprentice when he slew him? :xp:

But if you managed to make a successful head replacement, I'd download it. Interesting work :).

Yeah, it is pretty creepy, but at least I didnt post the pic of Mira wearing it, she also had the Jabbas' palace dancer outfits.. ewww talk about disturbing lol...,anyways,

I just wanted to get the main mesh of his head exported, to see what all could be done with it.. That by far was the easiest of all my ideas.

Anyways, I thought a few of you might like that.. :) I will probably do the same for his armor get it exported, mess around with it, though that might be a little bit tricky to make working clothes out of it..

edit, btw, here is an updated pic of my Sith Lord Mask, I added a hood.. Its getting pretty close to completion, I have made the hood and mask seperate objects withing the same model, and supplied several different mask colors, so you can pick what color of mask you want with the hood, the vader black, is by far my fav.. See..

I still need to make icons, and clean up a few clipping issues on the mask and hood, as you can see the mask pokes through the hood just a bit, but its should be done within the week depending on how many color variations I make, and how hard the icons are to make.. :)

Oh, there is also just mask with no hood versioins included, so you can mix and match what colors and model variations you want.. ;)

I have made a little head way on my playable malak head, nothing amazing, though it is in game now, but the weighting is all screwy, but I did manage to get it close to the body.. heh..

Anyways, a playable malak head might be just around the corner... Its a big corner though.. hehe..

If any of the more experienced modelers know how to fix this, or some tutorials specific to this type of job, some links or advice would be nice, I am just pretty much guessing right now... ;)

NOTE: I started a new game to see if it worked, so I didnt have any characters to take a free look shot with, thats why its crappy looking cus I had photoshop the image so you could even see it..

I will post some better shots after I get a party.. Hopefully I will have the head on a bit better by then...

If Malak's head is anything like Bao-Dur's head, I don't know if it can be fixed... honestly I don't really have a clue on this particular matter

Ywah, I think I have wandered into unknown lands on this one, as far as I know it has never been done.. So it could be impossible, but if anything I can get it on, its pretty close now, its about 2 game inches up, and 3 back now, as opposed to the 6 or better its off in that shot....

The animations are are messed up, no blnking or facial expressions, but the head moves.. so.. I had them working earlier, but then when I got the head close they stopped..

Oh, well just wanted to let yall know it was somewhat possible, and I am working on it.. :)

If I get this I am gonna try to finally fix revans cape animations.. hehe..

Uh.. Which one, the black one? or the malak mask? I assume the black one...

No I still need to make an icon for it, and I still havent figured that out yet, but the model is done, and so is the installer, so give me a little while to figure the icon out, I want it to be professional like, and such, etc... :)

Probably no more than a week.. Then it should be up at Kotor Files, I might host my mods at pcgamemods too... So just be watching for it sometime within the next 7 days.. :)

Yes the black one. Aww a week, but your work is so good I can't wait that long. I know this probably won't happen but I will never know unless I ask so here goes: Would you be able to make a set of those black one's but in the icon description have something about them belonging to Dark Lord Deagle? Only 1 especially for me. If not I understand and don't worry about it but I would appreciate if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

No its the icons themselves, I want custom icons, but they always show up updside down, or blurred..

I am just not a texture person, I can do models, scripting, .2da's, but nothing texture wise, at least fancy..

I probably wont do that, but you can edit the .uti file with kotor tool, and make it say whatever you want for the description... ;)

I have got Malaks head to normal pc size now, and I must say Malak was one big head having dude.. :) For real, it took a bunch or resizes to get it down to normal ppl size..

Still cant get his facial expressions to work, I defined all the bone data in his face, but once I export it, its gets lost somewhere,... Cus as soon as I load it back into the editor only 5 of the 16 bones are still defined right..

So he bobs a bit, but other than that he is pretty lifeless... Also his face gets the grey tinge to it not present in the editor.. It should be more yellow like skin...

Anyways, here is what he looks like pretty much done... I stuck him in the "malak armor", for the shot... ;)

Yeah, thats because its a mod by Inyri Forge, I believe, pretty sure thats who it was, anyways, the mask had to be modified to fit a large variety of heads, so its not a custom mask I made for him, but one put out by Inyri to fit a lot of different heads...

So its a little too big for the real malak head, especially after I scaled his head down,.. it looks real good though if you don't get right up on it, just playing the game it looks perfect..

Anyways, this probably wont be released for a long time, I want to get it as perfect as possible..

plus I didnt know Don Kain had released a playable malak head till after I had already started,...

Thats another reason I wont release this for awhle, just to be courteous to him..
