Steve Irwin was swining in the breat barrier reef but then he was stung by a sting ray, now normally if you get stung you won't die, he was stabed in the heart by the time the helicopters came he was dead the only happy thing about his death was that he was able to die of what he does best, he had friends, family, his wife, fans, and his children.Remember its hard to have a celeberty to die, but its harder to to have a friend or family member to die. Steve Irwin we will always remember you in our minds and heart.

On the radio show I always listen, to last night, (the host was sort of a friend of steve's) the host played an interview of him from about a year ago. It was weird to hear him so alive and well when really he's gone... Tim (The host) said "Well if you die, I'm sure your wife will get loads of money, I bet the insurance companies are all over you!" jokingly and Steve said "Oh yeah, I'm fighting them off..." sarcastically and said that in his film, the producer people couldn't get any insurance for him, so he filmed all of the dangerous stuff before signing the contract that he'd do it (Although they'd already established he was going to do it, this was just for legal reasons).

:( Rest In Peace.

I was going to make another thread about this. Anyways, I for one am deeply sad that he died. He was one of my Idolsí, and I still can't believe he is dead..
Rest in peace Steve Irwin.

R.I.P Steve

And on a related note, can you believe that some twits actually went out and killed some sting rays because he was killed by one? Yeah, I'm sure Steve would really appreciate that, considering he advocated for the sanctity of wildlife almost all his life. Idiots.

Great Scott!

May the Force be with him.No offense, but that's not something you should say in the real world when somebody dies... the only exception is if they are in Star Wars films. Not trying to be mean, it's just it sounds kinda... nerdish/inappropriately placed.

Anyways, R.I.P. Steve.

I am pretty sure Steve would forgive the sting ray, so should we.

That having said, I would really hope to see the footage though, cause its his last interaction with wildlife, as bad as it may be.

It's on Google Video. Don't watch it. I didn't, you shouldn't, no one should.

Seriously? The tape is out? That is awful. If anyone watches it please tell me if the rumor is true.

According to a marine biologist I heard on a news radio station the day after Steve Irwin passed away, when he swam over the top of the stingray, it triggered a reflex in the the ray. Apparently when something swims over the top of them, it's an instinct for the tail to snap up. The stingray couldn't have stopped itself even if it wanted to.

^ Steve knew what he was doing. He would have said it was his mistake for the Animal's reaction.

Its hard to believe that that happened. He left 2 kids and a wife behind. I was a big fan. :cry6: :cry6: :cry6:

May the force be with you, Steve. R.I.P. I won't say bye bye because we believe you will be back.

Been a while since his death, but I thought I'd say something.
As an Australian I kind of rolled my eyes at his actions, but when he died it was like a part of us was gone, and things certainly would not be the same without him.
He really was an amazing bloke, and his family certainly should not have to go through the trauma of losing him.
R.I.P, Steve.
