I present (again) the "bigger" FoC: The Small Mod V2

CREDITS: _x_Darth-Max_x_ (good tester of the coruption and modding help)

**********!!!!!!!!!UPDATED V2.1 UPDATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!**********

-Orbital Bombardment (move VENGEANCE ships, to enemys planet orbit before land commbat)
-Buildable Skipray Blastboats and Tie-Defenders (must do the piracy mission over Mandalore + Dark Troopers and Droidekas (They look like Tie-Crawlers) + Tie Phantoms
-A starting continget of Norghi Assasins (I will make them buildable next time)
-Conquering enemy planets works. They use Devmaps for land Combat and Kaminos For Space.
-Coruption unlocked for some planets (don't use Land Tactical Combat exept Piracy mission on Manalore)
-Buzz droids move after their targets (they may be unbalanced)
-Super VENGEANCE frigates With Agressor MEGA Weapons
-DEATH STAR II with andvenced targeting.
-and something I forgot to list :D ....

Replace your FoC\Data Config.meg with the one from my zip.

When playing land tactical battles on Felucia, Mandalore or NalHutta zoom out at max to see something :)

ok u said dont use tyber in space, but what about when you must corrupt mandalore, you must use him in space, or does it work then?

When you star the demo you have 3 heros Tyber, Urai and ..Tyber (it's realy his ship check their descriptions). If it goes for the corupting mission you use the defiler and tyber get's there automaticly.
The only way to use the Tyber's ship wrong is to send it to Nalhutta or Kamino in the 1 flleet. So when you win the space battle just send it there and start the land battle.

I noticed in the model folder P_KRAYTDESTOYER_DETONATE.ALO
it's the coreoverload for the Krayt animation (I think),
ok i think i came to an deadend with it.
So i found ... the full anim of the destroyer droid is there (...) but the XML are ... yes missing!
And i come to another deadend...
Btw..It's strange because i can't find the defilers profile ... ok i think i leave the modin for more creative fellows :)

...Watch would i give for the UV_KRAYTCLASSDESTROYER_TYBER.ALO model file .....

Anyone want to confirm that the format of certain .alo and .ala (eg. the dark troopers models/animations) has changed? I tried putting some of the models from the demo into the original and it crashed. This can also be confirmed by checking the size of the stormtrooper anims in the original and the expansion or opening the expansion anims in Aloviewer.

did you create that Orbital Bombardment? or did you just uncover it in the XML's?
cause i wonder if it can be used in EAW...i just played you mod for the demo, and man, that Orbital Bombardment is AWESOME.

I got to the bordbardment accidentally because i found the only unused XML is the Peacebringer and I wanted to test that big killer .... but when i was doing the Felucia mission i had that big red button and thin .. is this.... WoW!!
Devs just left all required anims for the bombardment (the are rather small).
(I coud change the side to Empire and take a :vsd: for a Borbardment try :) but I am afraid i need to slowly reverse enginere some files (Or i could use my wierid idea to seed it up)

Peacebirnger .. it's the name used in XML's (I don't know wath it has to the Who commands the Merciless?)

Now I am reverse enginerin the campaing so we could have no tutorial missions ect. but everything works exept that when you try zoom in it gets an invisible zoom or somethin and you can't zoom back :)

I just tried the Mod.. its real Cool .. ( Skipray Are handy against the lvl 4 Space Station)

Hopefully u can get the Actual Merciless in Artoo!

Ow and btw.. In the Normal demo .. Nal hutta has 4 StarDestroyers.. Maybe u can put those in orbit over Mandalore..?

Yep i coud check those 4 ISD (I removed them because i was afraid their had no models i must check that), i will also try adding a fleet to Mandolore.

edit: Those ISD don't have models (..but Thrawns ISD models is there lol ... I upgraided their forces with more Victorys 6-8 I don't remember

And the Important Thing guys i need your help ... Yes your's to!
I need to modify a reveal planet script to have all those 1000 planets to show up. And give those planets map's here is a file with instructions and everythin you will need.
(btw. sory for those tutorial texts, but I don't want to mess with it to much and i can't just delete them)

K i can try to help u out .. But i can't Promise anything :P Well i think in orbit over Mandalore a fleet of 4 Victory's and Thrawn would be quite Difficult.. (Unless there is the Agressor/Merciless model somewhere :D)

Ow can u host the File at Filefront? It's much better.. and i can't open the One from Rapidshare.. :S

You know If coud just get a cloak field generator ...i woudl snake to the Empires..ee Petroglyphs Secret base and copy the Agressors shematic ee model :)

Thanks for the help with that job it is rather easy but veary boring.

Also i upgraded those Buzzdroids, and.... Victorys are firigates so buzz them up :) Alos remember that Tyber uses hit and run tactics.

Artoo .. im now looking at the XML Folder.. but Damn those are a lot of Planets.. and i can't do them all by my own :( .. Btw the Only working space map = Kamino .. so that obvious but what about Land? U want some to be Mandalore , Or some Felucia..

Or do u want all Land maps to be Nal hutta for Example..

1 map this 1 map that ... or all the same do it the faster way .. ..maby start from the end becasu about 5 persons dowloaded my HelpKit so when they star makeing planets i coud merge those 2 files together.

BTW. I am worrkin at the Mini Agreesor Weapon ..(This sounds crazy :))

In which program can i edit Those XML Files u gave me.. ? When i click it normally it opens up Internet explorer with the File attached.. When i want to change the Filenames it sets 1 page back.. ( Example .. i have Lucasforums open , i Click XML file , Lucasforums becomes , Documents and Setting ; XML Folder , When i do backspace to change Names , it goes back to Lucasforums.. )

I looked to the xml units in the demo and there is also the Death Star II but the alo files for it are missing... :-(

Hehehe Just tested ure Uber Cannons.. ( Yes they are Awesome.. :) )

Here are some bugs i Found

Uber Cannons Can't hit Small ships ( Aka Tartans )
Mercenary with Disruptors don't do damage to Hovertanks ( This was on Nal Hutta)

Uber Cannons can't hit corvets fighters and transports they are too small
Distruptors ... maby the can't damage shielded units.

Oh i tested the Death Star everything was good to the place when i wanted to fire the super laser at the enemys space station... it crashe maby it is the model i am not shure..(lol i will cahne DS II model to an asteroid :))

Actual I can't check this now (no free space to unpack eaw models), and placeing the ds model in the demo is rater illegal. (Oh and i can't post the 300mb demo models meg file :))

..My HelpMe.zip was downloaded 12 times and we still don't have SCRIPTHELP.txt ...:)

Yes but when i removed all of it the game started to be buggy and not to work. I must find the thing that causes it. It must be a part of script somewere..

okay I have this installed but I can't do the Felucia mission It won't spawn Tyber and it automatically says I am defeated and I can't access any other planets. I can't find all the stuff I need to mod the files they really made it harder

I am back from school .. and wath I see ... :) ok today or tommorow...

You should(after you get rid of the long text in the tutorial(if possible)) make other factions playable as well(then give the darktrooper tech to empires.)

Ok guys I can't get all those planets up some bug gets in ... log text .. still it bug's also ...
I lovered the num of planets to from the expansion -mustafar and some old eaw planets..
Version to will be out in 15 minuts? Something like that, next i will try to change the sides and test it but a litle later.. now I fell realy bad ... +homework to do ...

OO my falut .. i got some files massed up anyawy back to plan A all planets but i don't have time to get all them fleets :(

You gonan kill me :) back to PLAN B those planets tend to crash the game so i need to fix it out :) i will be back with a beta of V2 soon (veary soon)

Ok guys I am sorry but I won't have much time tommorow i got some additional Informatics lessons (maby my teacher will let me do some xml editing :))

V2 will include all planets with imps and rebels maby some Hutts and pirates :)
I will also unlock those coruption options and try to work on aditional units ..

for me, taking all my units to felucia gets an exception error and crashes now. I have all the right units needed and include all my units with the fleet, so is there any explanation?

Well in order to fix that all I had to do was add MDU's to my Fleet because Artoo has left those out when he made the new garrisons. Those MDU's that aren't there are required for Felucia mission, otherwise you will get the exception error... but I am frustrated with this new problem I am encountering.

got a weird problem with this version now.
i take everyone to felucia and tyber not spawning on the planet, so that mission is lost before starting it. and once i was too fast clicking on the disruptor icon on blackmarket, so i could establish that blackmarket and the trade before all the talkin started, so i was stuck as the talking bout that started, cause i had to send him there once again, but couldnt click anything, since it was already purchased, but also the back-button wasnt "clickable", so i had to jump out the game quicker then expected. lol

flllow the tutorial very closly when the target is to send all your forces to Felucia, send only Tyber and move him to the ground slot tada :)

Btw. I had a realy bad day .. my neck got damaged at the spots lessons ... It hurt's so much ..

Tyber for mission... i will get the Merciless out in the next beta, i will allow the Massdriver to do the orbital bombardment. Now I am working at the droidekas ... at the moment I am stuck at the shields ...

I think the most important is to find a way to activate the saving option because the tutorial is very boring...or maybe by removing it...but it seems to be very difficult...

Ok I don't think i can enable the save option ..the tutorial dialog maby i will be able to do somethin but not now.. maby friday ... and i can't add the Aggressor or Keldabe: 1 they don't have models 2: they don't have xml
3: Let's wait for them in the full game :)
(btw. guys don't think that i am a Pro Modder I am just a guy that can edit xml's :D)

Yes keep that in mind + 24 october is on my Dad's Birthday .. Hehehehe ,

One of the things that should be possible in ure mod is the Available option of being the Empire .. All phase darktroopers , Buildings , At-At , At-St , Hovertank.. , Victory , Acclamator , Tartans , lvl 5 space station , Tie defenders , Tie interceptors , Tie-Fighters, Tie - Bombers.. Empire does easily have enough units ;)

Heres a bug I found in beta:
After spreading corruption on Nal Hutta(Blakc Market) and the LOOONNG dialogue, the hourgalss mouse wheel that states the story didn't stop, so I couldn't do anything. I had to alt+tab out. (I did spread slavry on Kasshyyyk before that though, other than that, everythng was following bthe plot, and Urie Fen wasn[t moved from his spot, neither was anything added to his fleet

The V2.1 Beta has droidekas without the shield animation :) (but the shield is there) + tie-phantoms (forgot about those in v 1.0 :D) and you can fight on Mustafar and a couple of more planets with hordes of imps :)

So test the beta maby I made some unbalancing (the droideka is made on the tie-crawler :D)

in the 2.1 beta i couldnt take over kashyyyk, it loads and the "begin" button appears but when i click it, it refreshes the screen but dont load the map, so it starts stuck on the loading screen.

Apologies if this is obvious, and you already mentioned it or something, i'm not thinking right today... still havnt managed to find droidikas yet either, how are they built?

EDIT: yeah, just read you mentioned the beta of v2.1 was kinda buggy, alot of the planets cause my fun to end, but still very impressive looking. I think i'll stick to more finished versions of the mod now though, unless i figure out how to get droidekas anyway ;)

Tie-Crawlers the droidekas are the tie crawlers :) .. and sorry for the kashyyyk i raly didn't test it so i can't be shure.. btw. were you able to conquere other planets? ... The problem might lay in the map or something because I remember that i had some ground fights on Mustafar...
On friday I will try my best to get an fully (with no mega bugs) operational mod :)

Edit: :D i was right Darth din't change some maps and i forgot about this too .... sry :)

I was able to conquer some planets, well, tbh i only tried a few and the only one that failed was kashyyyk. I was unable to do one the corruption missions on a planet near the top left. I didnt really have the energy to play though the same tutorial sections for 10 minutes just to test if i can crash the game ;)

But i was able to take a couple of planets, and corrupt some too. I'll remember which ones crashed and why next time, but it mostly seems to work. Definatly worth playing. I'm off to go find some tie maulers/droidekas then :p

EDIT: Corulag, if you try to spread corruption your given the option of a pirate mission, after the loading menu you click "begin" and the map never loads, just a blank screen and mouse pointer. Havnt found any other game-ending planets yet, everything seems to work.

Umm..the kidnapping loads a blank map. Other than that, seemed okay. (If you can't get it to work(means no map in demo), try and make it automatic(meaning remove the battle requirement). btw, HOW DO YOU BUILD TIE MAULERS/Droidekas? I can't find them anywhere!
btw, I've been thinking on why saome of the planeys arn't travleable, it may be beacuse those plants land maps, and galaxy map planet image ISN'T in the demo?(the coding is still the same since the devs probably were too lazy to remove the coding for the demo). So I'm guessing reassigning some of the land maps and planet images to them might make it work.

xhh2a, you cannot build them, you start off with 8 maulers/droidekas in your starting troops, once those are gone you dont get anymore.

Tommorow is a day, a day like anyother day but it that day yes .... THE NEW ULTIMATE V2 will (I hope it will) come to your hands...
Also i like to thank for the interest you all put in the project.. after the V2 the FoC will be finaly relased I will get it a moth later :( so after V2.5 I will say goodbye :( .... but now it's time for V2 so .... Friday is the Day of The Mod.

xhh2a, you cannot build them, you start off with 8 maulers/droidekas in your starting troops, once those are gone you dont get anymore.

I sorry guys but mission bye bye tutorial goes like ... realy it dosen't go it gives me errors every time .. but maby I will try 3 more time .. in other way
here is a V2 Cnage list:
-Buildable Dark T1,2,3 ; Droidekas ; Phantoms
-Working Planet Maps (only those planets that were in the V2 bet idon't have much time to get it all go, I sombody coud help me with it :)...)
-Working Coruption (Land Tactical Coruption won't work and please don'y use it :) or charsh, expet Mandalore's piracy mission ofcoure)
-E.... hmmm I will try killing the tutorial (it shall feel the wraight of a R2 unit)
-I you wnat somethin that isn't listed here shout!!

I killed the tutorial .. but you need to listen to the firist dialog the one that ends like "Madalores Supreme Strategist..."

DS II is in V2 Beta btw. The beta will come in 15 minutes I hope...
Oh and the droideka will be rather overpovered now ...sorry i gave it the ion cannons on so it has it's normal blasters and those ion cannons on it's back :)

Thanks guys. Ok V2 in about 20 minutes i will enable coruption on some Iperial planets and a little fix and it will go but not all planets will be enabled I neeed a litle rest ...

Just Played the V2 Beta- One Word- GREAT.
The Ships were great, and the open endedness was too.
DSII Kicked ass (But I would have prefered it if you could see it all, but I know why you can't (Because when you fired on space stations with the model, the demo froze) Great work, good luck on V2. May the Force (s of corruption) Be With you Artoo!

Eee.. As I said ..I didn't do anything special anyone qoud do it better faster etc.. but thank for those nice worlds ... tommorow I will try geting all planets with Imps and coruption and maby something more.

....:) if I am right you used the land tactical commbat .. it dosent' work no maps... (btw i Coudl change all tactical maps to the space mission over mandolore .. :D)

so in order to download the beta 2 we just click the link at the beginning of the thread right. well i did and i still get that long freaking text with the tutorial. i have to corrupt mandalor before i can conquer other planets. is there something i missed

...Actualy I am a novice in xml script modding .. :) and i don't have time to test it all ...the text part of the script is realy wicked it contains some Jabba dialogs something about wookies..oo ... but maby soon... or just think about this text says go and buy the best expansion ever :D

Guys if you get annoyed that you cant move the units form ground to space, you can just zoom in, and like getting the selection box for files in windows, you can now click and drag and a box will appear for you to select units in groups, then u can drag over them all and move them up to space.

anway, on topic, great mod,c ant wait til the next version, something to keep us entertained till the expansion actually comes out.

Actually it is illegal to use materials from EaW and put them into the FoC demo. And vice versa. I would suggest you dont do this or we will have to remove the download links from our forum, and Im sure you wouldnt like that.

Anyways, nice mod! I really am having fun playing with all the new unlocked units and such. But seeing as FoC itself is only a week and a few days away I wouldnt stress myself out with unlocking AI and such, unless you want :p.

i started to play your mod, and none of the dialouge came on. and it just sat there with the hour glass pointer thing, it wasnt a crash or anything cause it was the brown hour glass that spins durring a dialouge speech. im using 2.1. any idea whats wrong?

It's definetly a great mod and those Dark Troopers can just slaughter everything in their path! so which XML did you edit to make Dark Troopers playable? and how do you recompile the XMLs into the MEG file? or did you edit the MEG file itself?

Heidern: I used the Demo MOD Tools pack from filefront, you can just edit DarkTroopers ..XML change thier build requirments and Affilation.

dang, that sucks that you're gonna go, this mod is awesome and I can't help but think that there is so much more that can be done, but who knows what new goodies will be in V2.2 and after that I guess we'll have to wait for the full version I guess

okay, every time I try to edit Config.MEG it keeps crashing, I guess that's not uncommon is it. infact I kept reverting the changes I made erasing the extra code I put in and changing altered atributes back to the way they were and it still woulden't work.

still would like to know why when I edit the Config.MEG file It keeps crashing even when I revert the changes, and extracting XMLs doesn't work cause the game just ignores them, the "Demo MOD Tools pack" is that for vanilla EAW or specifically for the FoC Demo?

EDIT: extract the xml's then put them back together as a new meg or something and always keep a back up of the original

You can always buy it off Ebay and have them ship it internationally, there's always ways around the system :), if your willing to shop around.
