In ROTS, after Obi-Wan chopped Anakin's hands and legs off, instead of giving that "chosen one" speech, he helped Anakin.

Would Anakin have allowed him to help at that point?

Probably not, after losing three limbs...

Would Anakin have allowed him to help at that point?I don't think so, Jae.
Anakin was consume to much by the darkside, at that point.
And I bet he really hated and was highly furious with anger at Obi-Wan for choping his arms and legs off.

i bet the moment Obi Wan took Anakin's surviving right prosthetic arm, the whiny lil sucker would have flipped Obi Wan into the lava river :p

I'd also be pretty p****d at someone had they just nearly quartered me. But yeah, things would have been deifferent, but then Obi-wan would have probably been killed by palpatine when he landed, and anakin would have been turned to the darkside fully then.

Anakin had gone too far over the edge to begin with. If killing children wasn't enough to convince you he was beyond redemption at this point he believed Obi Wan was, ah, sniffing around, if you catch my drift.

What if Obi-Wan knocked Anakin out with his lightsaber hilt?

Anakin would probably stab him. That simple.

How different would it have been if Obi-Wan, instead of giving the speech, went down and stuck his lightsaber into Anakin's skull?

He would've fallen and become Palpatine's apprentice? Jedi don't kill in those situations, look at the stark contrast between Anakin slaughtering the Sand People and, say, the Jedi Masters dealing with the Exile.

okay, lets say anakin somehow manages to shoot lightning or something from the tip of his nose. what then?

Actually, if Obi would ever send that saber thru Ani's skull, it would be mrecy killing, and not an act of anger. I mean, surely he knows that Ani would die there without help... and He definitely did not forsee Palpy's Arrival. And no, we know that he cannot retrieve Ani alive, unless he somehow send him inco a coma, an act which I think Obi may not have the skill to perform in that condition.

I am not sure if Anakin ever possess Force Lightning; I never seen him use when he became Darth Vader either.
Force Choke seem to be one of his powers.
Also he had Force Crush.
Which I saw in the Clone Wars cartoon.

What if Mace had succeeded in killing Palpatine while Anakin was there by blocking Anakin strike with a one hand saber block, that would have probably allowed him to parry Anakin's saber attack that then would have allow Mace to backwards stab Palpatine.

Would Mace have had fought Anakin and then have tried to killed him?
After being aware of the Darkside flowing through him.

Also who think how the battle between them would have ended?

Mace has a purple light saber so it wouldnt even be a true fight but taking that advantage out, mace still would have ownd him and prolly would have killed him since he didnt have a bond with him like obi

For the record Ani WAS able to use lightning(comic, animated series, EU books, etc). But ever seince he lost all his limbs and weewees the suit kinda prevents him for using lightning, which is unfortunate.

I mean, if some witch in a backwater world can pull if off, Ani obviously can.

Ever wonder why so many sithlords wear funky zoots?

you could clearly see his eyes change colour to yellow are he looked up at obi wan, just before he shouted "i hate you" at the latter. only sithy boys have yellow eyes, so yeah, anakin was consumed by the Dark Side at that point.

He might if they supported the Republic, his main allegiance was to the "Republic/democracy."But we know the Jedi always attempt to destroy the Sith.

And my point was that as far as Kenobi and Yoda were concerned, Anakin was dead and there was only Vader. So after the battle Kenobi wouldn't see it as helping Anakin.

PoiuyWired

Well, if there is a choice between "Old Jedi Order" and a "True Republic" then I think Obi may actually think of going for the Republic side instead. THough this would be just a theory, as we all know it Obi discovered the Republic is not what it is anymore way before 66.

What if Mace had succeeded in killing Palpatine

I have that scenario playing in my head a lot. Anakin gets caught in traffic or something and comes in just as Palpatine is missing a head and Mace has left the building.

The Jedi succeed in taking over the Republic - and using Palpatine's own laws to give the Council the same emergency powers the Chancellor's office held. From there, the Jedi Council and the Clone troopers start a top to bottom purge to rid the Republic of Palpatine's influence, and clear out the corruption that led to the Sepratist crisis. Hundreds of Senators end up arrested on charges of treason - including Padme Amidala. Needless to say, Anakin gets this news and is boiling mad. His friend is dead by lightsaber and his wife's arrested?! Worse, they do a DNA test while she's in prison and add "corruption of a Jedi" to her list of charges. Windu and Yoda are going full-tilt on the charge to cleanse the Republic. Kenobi is skeptical, as are a lot of the rank and file Knights. The will of the Council must be obeyed, but they aren't terribly confortable with it.

Anakin leads an unsuccessful attempt to break Padme and the other senators out of jail. Unfortunately, she's injured in the process and goes into labor and he's driven away, spiralling to the Dark Side. "Remember what you created this day!" he shrieks before he is shot dead by a battallion of Clone Troopers.

In the end, the Senate is dissolved, and the Jedi Council placed in charge of the Republic indefinitely, with the Clone troopers under their direct command. The twins are born and Padme dies. Yoda looks over them both.

"Jedi they are, and Jedi they will be...the perfect Jedi. Nothing will they know of their birth, or each other..."

Meanwhile, the Jedi Council looks out over the New Republic dawn...and fail to realize they have become the very thing they swore to destroy.

I have a hard time believing that Yoda and Mace Windu would end up being corrupt.

In my head the younger Jedi's are the ones that get tempted with the power and perhaps become more interested in Sith learnings when they start believing less and less in the elder Jedi.

PoiuyWired

Well, Mace being corrupted may happen... He is always skirting the boundaries of using rightous anger with his l33t skillz. Now, a DS Yoda would be improbable, though deadly.

Anakin could use force lightning after training but when he lost his other hand he could not ever do it.

Technically you don't need a hand to shoot lightning, a tail or feet or something else would work also. Si technically he can shoot lightning from his stumpy limb.

The thing being the arms and legs used to build Vader's tincan interrupts his ability to use Sith lightning. As for shooting lightning from the mouth/nose/weewee/etc, thats too much anime watching. Star Wars characters does not go "chargin' mah' lazer" and blast beams off their mouths.
