I was in the process of converting some of the old documentation to html when I rediscovered the animevent system that I had doced a long time ago.

Basically this system allows players to customize the sound/special effects that are played on a character on a per-playermodel basis! This is how I got the Vader breathing to work for some of the Vader models.

Anyway, this is a pretty cool system and I hate it to go to waste. Does anyone have any other cool sound/effect customizations we could do for some of the models to add some zazz to the mod?

By 'special effects', do you mean you can play attach .efx files to a character?

Yep. I think that's how the special effects for some of the taunts are done.

Well, for starters, we could add Grevious' wheezing and coughing to the Grevious model.

How extensive can this system be? Does it have to be a constant sound effect, like vader breathing? Or can it have requirements that have to be met in order for the sound to play?

What I mean is, would it be possible to make a character make a light "breathing" sound after they run continuiously for, say, 10 seconds, to show they are getting tired from allt he running? If this is possible, it'd be cool, and would work well for just about any model.

It can be associated with an animation and occur at a given random percentage. However, there isn't a system in place for setting it based on amount of time the guy runs for.
