I would like to try to create some models myself but what tool/program do I need?

I haven't done any modeling but I believe they use programs such as GMax or 3D studio max.

You can make models in any 3D Modelling program (IE: Anim8or, Gmax, 3DS Max, Maya, XSIModTools, Milkshape3D, etc.) but you need 3DS Max to get it into EAW or FOC, as the only alamo export plugin available is for 3DS Max

This free program can export to Max 3ds 8. It can't animate, but someone could make models and have somone else convert it to max 3ds 8, then ALO.

You ask someone with Max 6 or Max 8 to convert and animate. fortunately, most cruisers and fighters don't need animations, so this isn't an issue for those making space ships.

Here's an example of something I made in WIngs 3D for my mod.

Hi, i 'd make a a new ship but I don't know how to export to ALO in 3dsMax
because the texture don't wanna appear in the game and the ALO viewer,what can I do? Please help me!
