Error when starting EaW......

When i try to start Eaw, I get a "D3D9 application error. Could not reset the Direct3d device. This application will now exit". I have uninstalled and reinstalled EaW twice with no issues during installation, and I have the latest DirectX and video card drivers. Anyone have any thoughts on what is going on?
