There is a leaked version of it up on youtube that's dubbed in Russian. Haven't seen it yet, though. I wouldn't be able to understand it anyway. It might even be taken down by now.

zOMG! I just saw it on tv and there are some great looking action scenes.

Captain Jack asks the crew "Well aren't any of you who have rescued me, happy to see me?" Everyone is quiet and the Jack the monkey raises his paw. I laughed.

Then Jack says something like "Why should I help you? 4 of you tried to kill me! And one succeeded." Then he looks at Elizabeth Swan. She hangs her head.

Then there was a brief scene where a ship is sailing through sand. And Jack is show as one of Davy Jones' men, all covered in barnacles.

The last 5 secs or so of music just after Jack fires the canon is from a Spiderman 3 trailer lol. But I can't wait to see this and Spiderman 3.

Eww, Norrington's wearing that ugly wig and uniform again. He looked better when he was a mess. Now it looks like he's a bad guy again.

Looks pretty good. Still nice and piratey. I just hope it's not all just the same stuff.

The trailer music, however, is very, very used.

coupes.

I enjoyed the first one much more than the second one. IMO the second one was trying too much... trying to be funny and trying to be epic, etc. Maybe the third one will not suffer from the sequel syndrome as well.

They needed some new material on the 2nd. Too many rum jokes and whatever. But Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman crew were cool.

I look forward to At World's End.

This is probably my most looked-forward to movie right now. I loved the first two. I enjoy the second one better than most but I think I still like the first one better.

Middle sequels are always slightly disappointing, especially when they go for a cliffhanger ending. Even LotR:tTT is generally considered the worst of the bunch (Legolas skateboarding! What were they thinking!?).

I enjoyed both CotBP and DMC, I would even go as far as to say they were almost as good as each other. The only thing that lets the second one down is the fact that it is not a stand alone film, and relies too heavily on seeing the other two around it.

****. Looks pretty damn sweet. I enjoyed the first two quite a bit. Probably will enjoy this one too. :)

Thanks for the linky, jebbers. :D

@jonhill - The Two Towers is probably my favourite movie of alltime. I liked it a bit better than RotK. :p

Each to their own. I enjoyed it a lot, Just not quite as much as the other two, maybe it was a bad example. IMO they need to be watched as one film anyway, just like PotC 2 & 3.

Glee!

Chow Yun Fat is badass. Problem is... how will the ninja v pirate debate go now? Or rather, Shaolin monk v pirate debate...

And the fact that the duel in the trailer was synched with the music was badass.

I'm digging it.

Forget the fact that just about every single fight in The Princess Bride was perfectly synced 20 years ago :P

I just got back from seeing it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The plot was very well drawn together. Maybe they tried to squeeze in too much stuff we hadn't seen yet, such as all the different pirate lords and Calypto. But it worked out and I was fine with it. Two major parts I didn't like. During the most epic battle scene of any of the three movies, it is ruined when Elizabeth and Will are married by Barbosa in the middle of battle. I know they always throw something silly like this in to these movies but I really wish they could have let that part wait until the battle was won. The other part I didn't like was how Will was made captain of the Flying Dutchman. I won't say that it ruined the story because it had to be done after he was stabbed in the heart, but I would have rather had it play out differently. I was expecting Jack to become captain of the Dutchman but perhaps I should have known it wouldn't work out that way.

All in all a great movie. I haven't decided if I like it better than the first or not but I can confidently say it is superior to number 2.
