I tried the demo on my windows ME and it didnt work but it may have been because it was a DOS demo but whatever. Can someone help me out?

Well, the game will still require DOS to run properly. I tried Full Throttle on my old 98 computer a while back, and it worked fine for me, but your best bet is to use ScummVM.
