View Full Version : Summer Vacation

05-02-2007, 03:07 PM
Summer vacation has officially started for me. I think I should do something big to commemorate the occasion.

Perhaps a little LAN party with friends? Or install MOO3 and have a hardcore, all day game (or til we all die).

When does everyone else start summer vacation? Any plans you want to brag about?

Party time!

I graduate on May 20 but I'm officially done with school like the 17th or 18th I think, including exams. I know there are 5 school days left for me.

05-02-2007, 04:00 PM
May 12th is my last day. I have 5 more school days left including today: 2 classes on Mondays and Wednesdays and one class on Saturdays. So that's 8 different class sessions until summer vacation. Then, on May 13th, I officially start summer work at Wal-Mart. 5 days a week, 10PM-7AM, until the end of summer. All moneys will go towards massive new computer.

[EDIT] I jus did 2 of my class sessions and I remembered that I only have one class session on monday and wednesday instead of two, so I only have 4 left. :D

The last official day for me is May 30, but I'm not going the last week because i'm exempt from exams. Over summer I'm going to Wisconsin and Indiana, and I'm shooting off copius amounts of fireworks in the Late June/Early July region of times.

Well, my last final is on May 5th, but I'm taking that course pass/fail and I'm pretty sure I've already accumulated enough points to pass, so no big worries for me there. My college graduation ceremony is on May 10th. So...I'm hoping to do something exciting to celebrate. No big plans as of yet though.

Mine starts June 14th.

So It's a while to go. :(

June 7th is my senior check out day. in fact we just had our school councilors come speak to us about our ceremonies. I have school basically every day until then. My ceremonies aren't until June 14th. though.

God I can't wait :D

I'm supposed to graduate May 15th , but I still have to finish English 2020 and Financial Literacy before I can, so it'll probably be sometime early June. :wornout:

Summer will be good though, planning on going up to Lake Coeur D'Alene to get my jet-ski fix. ;DDD

Why do people get lucky and have their summer vacation start practicly a month earlier?

Anyway the 14th of June is when I have my exams. I have only like 4 exams so it is practically the last day of school for me

Like me? It's 'cause I'm in college so things work differently.

My last week of real school ends with on 8th of June, then I have one week of exams, plus three provincial exams (English, Math, and Science) over the next two weeks. Huzzah!

June 5th I think was our official date. But we had 2 snow days plus a day of no school due to electrical failure, so I'm not quite sure anymore.

May 23rd, counting down the days. Off to Colorado once I get out.

I'm done June 1st, although I'll probably be skipping a few days during finals week because I only have 3 classes. Already decided graduation ceremony was a waste of time, so I'll be blowing off fireworks instead. This time I'm going to make an honest effort to find a job (and not toss it), got some other stuff lined up that'll keep me pretty busy until right before the end of summer.

Whereabouts in CO? And for why?

This summer will prolly be the last summer vacation I ever have, provided I find a job. :(

Colleges/Universities almost always let out a month earlier than public schools...

I start summer vacation around June 26th. So, that's almost two months away. But, time has passed rather quickly, so it won't be long before school ends.

I'll be working a lot during summer holidays. As well as playing some baseball and maybe just a little bit of Xbox 360. :p

Whereabouts in CO? And for why?

We have a second house about eight miles North/Northeast of Bayfield, equidistant from Durango and Pegosa Springs. I'm going up there because flyfishing season is starting soon once the swollen rivers drop a little (mega runoff, can't wade those unless you want to be sucked away) and we'll do some mountain dirtbiking. Next weekend is the last weekend we can do any dirtbiking/quadding down here in Arizona 'cause it's going to be too damn hot. Up there in your mountains it's nice.

I'm in Arizona sizzling like some meat on the grill. Prison compared to the more temperate northern climates :)

I graduate May 26th. Then I summer it up (probably some work involved, but a lot of fun to be had with my friends before we all ship off to college)

and then I go to Rhodes. woot woot.

That's one of the things I miss about school & college: vacations!

I'll likely take two weeks in July...and I hope the office won't call me in for an "emergency" as they did last year and in 2004

Easy solution to that: **** off to somewhere far away and don't leave a phone number ;)

That was the plan :D I went to a Cuban beach (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Darth333/rh_2007/DSCN0815.jpg) three weeks ago... there was no internet and they didn't had the phone no... had a semi-private beach (one of the good sides of not being at school anymore but way too short) relaxing vacation ever...but now the office is sending me in the Arctic ( Arctic beach (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Darth333/DSCN0632b.jpg) next week at -16C (I bet that's vengeance lol :D )
