Any idea how this can be done?

Please keep "ipod sucks" comments to a minimum (I know some are inevitable)

Anyway, my brother's girlfriend just got an ipod, only to find that itunes doesn't work with windows ME. Are there any easy fixes out there for this problem?

That's just one. Google alternatives to iTunes and you're bound to find alot.

Pointing out that the ipod sucks in a thread about ME is like pointing out that your coffee is too hot while the rest of your upper body is engulfed in hellfire and your exposed genitalia is donning a full fledged bee-beard.

And them bees is angry.

Check this out: List of iTunes Alternatives (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_iPod_Managers)

The Winamp plugin, ml_iPod, looks decent although it may not be as user friendly of an interface as she may need.

When you say such things it almost sounds romantic and like something to strive for, Rhett.

Thank you Rhett. That was...erm...poetic. Yes, I've informed her that her operating system was created by Satan when he came up to visit Bill Gates over Thanksgiving, but what can you do until she gets the cash to upgrade - other than offer to build her a perfect custom rig - (which I did)

That Yamipod program, while a highly simplified ipod manager gets the job done and lets her get music on her new toy.

Thanks for the links peoples. Now you may comence with "ipod sucks" talks in earnest.

No, iPods are simply "alright". However, the Zen Vesion: M kicks it's ass.
