I just got the latest version of the enhanced mod today and I have one thing to say: Bye bye JA+.

I think maybe a custom loading bar is in order. I know its not really important but it'll add to the mod alittle.

Second, I think the sound that loops when you run out of force, etc, is very annoying. It actually annoys everyone in my house, including my cat lol. Maybe just play it once or have some sort of beep, different tones for dodge, force, and the last one that I cant remember right now?

Next, parry. I love the parry system but I hate moving when I parry. Would it be possible to code a button that stops you from moving when you parry? Like hold the button and the direction to parry?

Lastly, I cant get any force powers untill I have atleast one point in sense. Is that part just me or is it actually in the mod? If its in the mod, I dont like it! I only use push, pull, jump, and attack and defense. So having the sense really throws me off then scrolling through my push and pull.

I really like the rest of the mod so far and I appreciate the hard work you guys are doing/have done. Especially for a dying game. I think that this mod could bring this game back to life.

Glad you like it. We need more converts though before this mod can be really played more often though. Hopefully that will happen at or official public release if we get enough servers and people ready.

I have a custom sound mix I've been using forever that I made with someone. It has better saber clash sounds and a heartbeat sound that replaces that annoying sound. Let me know if you want it and I'll send it your way.

Ya know I actually suggested this a long time ago but it didn't seem like it was worth the work to code it at the time because we had just added the collision stops for unparried blocks and that seemed to help the visual look by alot. Its still a good idea, but if its too much work, Razor has more important things to work on at the moment. It might be a cool feature for anyone who can code it though. Unfortuanately I don't think I'm good enough to code such a thing

Thanks, and I hope so. I think people are slowly starting to leave JA+ and eventually the only JKA players left will be MB2 players. Our mod hasn't gotten near the attention all our work should warrant and I do hope there's a big shift at public release.

If you have the time I'd like to get that from you. The drain sound was really killing me.

I honestly didnt even think of that. Sounds good. I can live with being able to see through walls. lol.

While Im here I'd like to add that I cant use the mod with the map FFA_Bespin update. Maybe I missed something in the documentation that'll explain that? When I load the map, it crashes back to the main menu with no console or error messages.

I try to help here and there but I haven't really made any big changes, although I still feel that both compliments and criticism for this mod are criticism and compliments for me.

Thanks for the link. And I fixed my map problem. My pk3 had somehow become corrupted.

hey 1ShotDoctor good to see you over here glad you like them mod help spread the word over at filefront sometime with me. we do have some menu's loading bar's and some composed music in the works just don't know what beta there in, ik some one was using them the other day. speaking of which my sound editor has gone crazy its making me chose between either being in stereo format and 44100 hertz could some one convert our new menu music and send it to me

I can convert them. Just send them my way and let me know what they need to be converted to. I havent a clue what JKA needs their sounds to be in but I can definately convert them.

Anyway, back to the original post, we could maybe try making a "halt movement" button that would make the player stop moving, but allow them to still control their parries and attack directions. Bug ticket it.

I like the idea of halt button, i have a custom version of ojp with new saber effects and sound, and is very amazing, i'm thinking to make a custom version like bm2 with 100 char, and a lot of maps.

I've FINALLY managed to join this forum after some attempts LOL !!
Just wanted to say that I have playing nothing but JKA with this OJP mod for the past month.
I too have been looking for some kind of modification that'll allow more realistic saber combat events.
I'd actually given up playing online because I'd often come across ' top ' players, whose method of saber dueling was....Strong style, run around, swing saber and jump in hoping to make a hit, roll or jump away, and start again....Wonderful !!
My approach was and, I suppose still is that anyone can quickly dispose of an opponent by whatever method...I just want to look good doing it !! Primarily for me that means emulating the movies.
I've even demorec'd a few movies and uploaded them to a couple of spots:

OJP has fulfilled MANY of those aims in my opinion. So some BiG Upz to ALL who've made this possible.

Nice job SeLeXeL. I'm glad to see you've become as addicted to this combat as us creators have. Yeah I came to start helping with this mod after similar online experiences with base JKA and seeing greater potential in this sabersystem then even MB2s. I hope we can duel online sometime. I must warn you though. Although the bots are tough and a great practicing tool, dueling us vets is much different then dueling bots. :naughty: LOL

I've been trying to find the Meatgrinder server, and also read up about the ' Hamachi method ' Found some members networks in offline mode, but unsuccessful so far at finding a working server. I'll try again later on when I have some free time.
My weakness is probably my online abilities I have to admit, but its all good. We all have to learn somehow, sometime ;)

I've been trying to find the Meatgrinder server, and also read up about the ' Hamachi method '.
The MeatGrinder still appears to be running. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to see it. Maybe try again?

I managed to find and join the Meatgrinder server earlier in the day, so thats all good.
Although....I felt somewhat alone for the most part :cry8:
Will try the server again periodically....bound to find someone there in time.
