Hi, Im kinda new to the mod since I was never able to go online agaisnt other people so I would like to ask if there any active servers currently on, because my server list on the net only has 2 servers and nobody is ever on it.
Any indications of active server and its IP adress would be appreciated, thanks.
(Btw I use OJP Enhanced)

Yeah we're still trying to grow our following, but we haven't even made a public release of our newer code since 0.0.9 (which was last year around this time :p). These are all betas for 0.1.0. If you want to play with more of us vets, give some of us your IM address because that is primarily how we set up fights at the moment. Also, as far as more active servers, a few of us have servers though hamachi and those are usually more active, and often times are running a newer version of the code ;) Their not always up though unless people are playing on them.

BTW, we could really use some people now and especially when we release 0.1.0 to do a grassroots..or internet roots campaign to get more people play our Enhanced. Believe me, I've been with this mod over a year now and I don't like that the servers aren't populated that much either. Thats the trouble with being in a beta stage with alot of releases and having are more complex saber system and unfamiliar way of doing things.

Right, the best way to get some online time with some OJP players is by talking to the test leads. You can contact them thru this thread. (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=171234)

I also run hamachi servers almost daily with at least 5 to 8 people on them, I've supported double that with no problem in the past so lets get playing guys.

Getting more players will come with time, my additions to the media blitz have been very small because I've had little time. I'm certain however that a proper media blitz will help alot, surely with 009v's awesomeness.

I enjoy OJP. I just have a couple of suggestions:

1) Force. It regens too slow. Infact, I think it would be better with no force bar at all. Just my oppinion.

2) Saber damage should increased to 999 or something. That makes duel more realistic, so they wont go on for ever.

3) Disemberemant would be cool to. Like, for example, I'm dueling Anakin, and I chop of his arm, yet he is still living. Unlike normal JA, I think it would be better to have them still living once they lose a limb, except the head, of course.

Then you would never run out of Force from spamming too much, this would make both full offense and full defense overpowered. (I've always pushed for making ripostes cost a bit of FP to perform to decrease the shelf-life of a full-on defender)

You can do that by yourself: seta g_saberdamagescale 999 or something

3)
cg_dismember 999, g_dismember 999. It still doesn't work the way it did in base (full dismemberment even on corpses) but Ace got a headache just looking at the code so I don't want to bug him with it no more.

1) use seta g_forceRegenTime "175" // 200 is the basejka default value. I found "175" is a good balance of speed and honesty (you still have to keep an eye on FP). Also, make sure you walk more during duels....your force power will regen faster than if you run the whole time.


2) see Max's comment. "1" = normal damage. "2" = 2x damage. "999" = 999x damage


3) see Max's comment. Add +set cg_dismember 300 to the .bat file that stars OJP (i.e. jamp.exe +set fs_game "ojpenhanced" +set cg_dismember 300) . Use set g_dismember "300" //full dismemberment when possible in your server.cfg. Note.... 300 = 300% which means pretty much every victory is a dismemberment. It gets a little boring as there is no variation. Trying setting both values at 100 (i.e. 100%). You still get dismemberment, but not every single time.

Actually, the max values for the dismemberment cvars are cg_dismember 3 and g_dismember 100. Making it higher than those values doesn't do anything.
