View Full Version : Help with area mod

I just started modding Kotor 1 about a week ago, so I am very noob to this. I followed doom_dealers tutorial on area creation to create a new crystal cave on dantooine, with a dark jedi in it. I got to it with the warp cheat and everything worked perfectly. My question is, how can I get to my area through the cave entrance rather then having to use the warp cheat? Is there a way to override the current crystal cave. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldnt find it anywhere. Thanks for any help.

If you just want to overwrite the current Crystal Cave module then all you have to do is re name your module to "danm14ae.mod" (without the quotes) then place that in your "Modules" directory, then when you walk into the cave on Dantooine you should walk into your cave.
Also with a bit of practice you could make a trigger to warp you into your cave as well as keeping the original one, though you would have to find a similar opening in the wall to make it look like another cave, which i don't think there is.
