On Chat last night, Jae made 3 wishes. One of these wishes, world love. So, while I was lying in bed last night I contemplated that wish and thought it would make an interesting situation...
So, World Love. World Peace. First glance it looks like a great idea, but is it really? I found two things to bring up and here and they are:
---------
1# We are in the world we live in now, where everybody is an individual to a degree. 1 in 3 women in their life are sexually abused. Children have a higher chance of being molested by family than a stranger. Practically 50% of marriages never make it past 10 years. Women are left alone with children every day. Children grow up without parents in adoption homes. Teens get hooked on drugs everyday, many of them getting the drugs and alcohol from their own parents. Thats just to name a few at the tip of the iceberg... but what does this mean?
Individuality. As humans, the way we are raised and programed gives us individuality. Sure, the world is a bad place, but every thing has an equal "good" and "bad" something to it. At the cost of this world, we have the ability to hate and dislike people, love and like people, dress how we like, look how we want, talk how we want, live where we want, kill who we want, give birth to those we want, spend our life with those we want. We have individuality and a freedom of mind that comes with the price of the world being the way it is. I am not saying it is like this in all corners of the world, but I think you get the point.
---------
2# World Peace. Lovely idea, but can it really be applied to the world as we know it?
*snaps Fingers*
Ok, the world is now filled with love. There is no prejudice, no racism, no murder, no rape, no sodomy, no pedophilia, no skin difference to pick people out for being different, male and female humans are treated equally as mentally and physically possibly. World Peace, everybody treats each other equally. The concept of "do unto other as they would do to you" is applied everywhere, so people do not hurt each other on purpose. Sounds fantastic, especially to all the religious folk. But is it?
Loss of individuality maybe? I was thinking this over as a side effect of world peace and love. If everybody loves each other, what room is there for jealousy, dislike, competition, etc? If you treat everybody equally, what is the point in dressing different, looking different, talking different, living different?
In my mind, a world of complete peace and love has a largely communist feel to it (No, not Soviet communism you idiot.). The world is a utopia! Everybody shares near everything with each other because everybody trusts each other. There is no need for private ownership because there is no competition to have better things than other people, no need to feel different, no need to think you are better or worse then other people for what you own. Still, this sounds pretty good huh? Let me get to my next point.
Imagine people. Even if skin color is different, which it probably isn't, you only see skin in one shade anyway. Hair is seen as the same if it is not already the same. This applies to just about everything else on the human body. Even if people do in fact look different, total love and peace makes everybody see each other equally. So, people wear the same clothes if they wear clothes at all. People do their hair the same, people do everything the same to their body. And because people are physically equal, what room is there to be mentally an individual? Sure, we may have the capacity to have some individuality of our own, but in the end what does it matter? Everybody is the same anyway, and I can guarantee that every humans idea of individuality runs on two things: Likes and Dislikes. If there are no dislikes of other people, then there is only an overwhelming idea of like for others. What I am trying to say is, everybody now have the individuality of a smart robot.
I have probably shown a world of complete peace as over the top, but the first thing that world peace pops into my head is communism. Communism is a utopia world were the idea of individuality is gone, everybody is equal, and there is no private ownership of anything.
Still sound like a fun idea to everybody?

Ok, now to my point. Every single one of you has this one chance...
Do you keep the world as a world of complete peace and love, or do you change it back? You have this one chance, after living in both worlds, to go back to the world you know or to a world where everybody is equal.
What do you do?
I am going to assume people will disagree with my idea of world peace... so, what to you is the perfect world of love and peace?
Personally, I don't see a world of peace having rape, murder, abuse, destruction, racism, prejudice, etc... and to be honest, this world... humanity needs those things to continue being individual. We need that fear of other people to be the people we are now or we all basically become robots. That, to me, is more frightening then the idea that I have a chance of being raped every time I wake up in the morning. I may be looking too deeply into this, by that is my opinion at the moment.
