View Full Version : networking between XP and Vista...

ok, i'm officially confused. i've been trying to setup file sharing between two computers. one computer is running Vista Home Premium, and the other is running XP Home. what they're trying to do is to share the entire hard drive on both computers, and i have it set up that way like i normally would by setting the sharing permissions and so on.

i know its working to some extent since i have full permissions from the Vista PC to access the XP PC. the problem is that i'm not allowed access from the XP PC to the Vista PC.

now, both computers are in a private network zone (ie, they're on the same workgroup behind a firewall), and i have the permissions set on the firewalls for both computers. however, i still can't access the Vista PC from the XP PC, and its confusing the crap out of me.

any help would be appreciated. :)
