Ok, I've changed the point of this thread, it now contains the K2RP project files for anyone to download, you can install them and use them but if you want to continue the project you need the permission of everyone previously involved in it.

Did you change all the files? when i reinstall i have 16 warnings. most of them are dustil#.mp3 and one is the global.jrl.

Should i delete all the files that i saw a warning and run the setup again?

This is probably going to sound really stupid, I'm obviously doing something dumb, but when I download the MOD, it's all one file. I can't seem to do anything with it. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Well I'm looking forward to the second beta, but I'm having trouble (again) with the current one. I installed the mod and somethings gone wrong. The random Duro thug that's supposed to attack you after you've talked to Grenn about the blasters is finding me when I go to pick up the droid for the ithorians- he actually shows up in the docks. He also fails to turn hostile, and actually fights with me against the other thugs. I talk to him, he delivers his speech and still fails to turn hostile. However, all the other characters still think they're under attack though, so I can't move the game forward. Not sure what's happening here.

Il have a question, i like some of the stuff you are restoring, but some other i understand why Team Gizka don't want to add. Do you think it's possible like in mods to Baldur's Gate, decide what components you want to add from the mod ?

If you don't have installed any mods to BG2, or maybe not even played it i can try to describe a little closer. When you install a larger mod with components that maybe ain't that important, or change the game maybe alittle to much, you get a pop up asking you what components you want to add.


But anyway, keep up with the progress, you guys seem to be working fast

when i have the rendez-vous with Visquis, Atton has the new scene with the Twi'lek Girls. When the scene stop, the girls fails to turn hostile, i loaded a save before entering the planet then i went to the same scene with the same problem...

It will be made compatible. We are doing the best we can to keep the compatibility, but there will undoubtedly still be a lot of files we'll have to merge with Team Gizka's files after the TSLRP is released.

Alas, I have the same problem. They get into a fighting posture, (as does the other twi'lek in the room) but Atton can't fight them. Is there any cheat around this? (as I'm locked in the room until the fight is over-but it never starts).

*sigh*

you can download the "force choke anyone" mod until they get a fix for this. I had a problem with another mod that wouldn't allow the sith in freedon nadds tomb to die when they broke the ritual. The Mando wouldn't show up until that sith was dead, and it worked when i choked him to death.

I just have one quick question.

According to the readme, Atton is supposed to say something to the Twinsun assassins on Goto's ship. However, the only time I see the them is after Goto has expelled all of the oxygen (thus they can't speak, only choke and then die). Is this encounter supposed to take place at another time? Is there a way to return the air (or a response to Goto in which he doesn't remove the oxygen)?

(Sorry if this is a stupid question, I haven't played TSL in a long time)

The latter option will only work before the bounty hunters board the vessel. You'll need the droid controller access code from the bridge to do this. Also if you run the "reset" program for the droids after the bounty hunters are onboard the droids will restart and continue the decompression. It allows you to deal with all of them easily.

I think I've run into a bug.

After finding all of the Jedi (I'm light side), I go to Dantooine. The Jedi give their speech. I, of course being wonderfully nobel :) agree to face their judgement. Kreia comes in to stop them. As soon as Kreia says "see the force through the eyes of the exile." Out of nowhere a force power (life drain? force crush?) kills my PC and I get the entire party has been killed menu (reload, main menu etc.)

Kreia still continues her speech until the screen finally goes blank-and I must reload.

EDIT: I used the "invulnurability" cheat to get past this...(oh yeah, I may play light-sided, but I'm bad) :)

i encountered a bug with the random duro attacker, isnt he supposed to attack me, it seems a little wierd when he threatens you then just stands there looking like a bum. he doesnt despawn, or attack. he just stands there blocking traffic.

I have recently downloaded this mod to give it a go however when I try to install it using the patcher it gives me the following error message:

Error: Unhandled exception: Cannot create file "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\Lips\711KOR_loc.mod". Access is denied (0)

I have had a quick look at the other mods I have installed however I can't see that there is a conflict between them because the others don't use that file.

Has anybody else had this problem and if so how did you fix it.

Oh, okay.

So, would it be okay if I just backed up my entire override folder, installed your mod, and then restored the contents of the folder? I think that as long as there aren't any .2da files in your mod I should be okay. Are there?

Also, would I have to remove the modified files in my modules folder, which are only a couple of files to replace the Sith that you face in the Trayus Academy with real Sith Lords?

You wouldn't need to remove any malachor mods, yet. Even so some mods if installed first will probably be compatible.

Hmm, we do alter 3 2da files. So my best guess would be to run our installer over your already installed override. But, not yet, I have to reupload the installer/readme are bugged.

when i installed your patch i got 64 errors in the error log whats going on? will this cause
the game to be unplayable I followed all the instructions in the readme it
the errors all say file doesn't exist/not found this isn't going to make the game unplayable I hope

You obviously didn't install it correctly, when I install it from a fresh K2 patched up install, I get no errors.

Also the patch doesn't even use TSLpatcher.

The only problem should be if our mod actually conflicts with one of your old mods. You should try it and find out. Just remember to backup your modules and lips folders. We modify the 2da files ambientmusic.2da, appearance.2da and globalcat.2da.

And to follow that up, when you release a new version, will it be able to properly update the .2da files if they had already been modified by a previous version? Because I backed up my override folder, but forgot to back up those particular files. :( (Actually, what happened was, I had back main override folder and a backup override folder so that I could install the mod with a clean slate and then all of my older files on top of it. And then, instead of copying and pasting the .2da files from my backup folder to the override folder, I cut and pasted them. So now I no longer have them backed up as they were before I installed your mod.)

Also, will this issue cause any conflict with Team Gizka's mod?

If this will cause problems, I suppose I could edit the files manually. Which lines would I have to remove?

I looked modules of game by means of Kotor Tool and have not found out there not involved modules, except for one of Black Vulkar Base. On mine even if Uthura and HK-47 tell about Sleheyron it does not mean at all, that it should be in game, as well as other locations, on mine.
The beta-version of game can at you? Excuse, if has incorrectly translated.

Darth Balor just needs to be careful when configuring it for any new updates. Hopefully the patcher was bug free when you installed the mod. If not then the only way to get the files back is to modify the 2da files manually by following the code of changes.ini file in reverse and that may be tricky.

After that we'll start working with M4-78 itself. We won't need to start from scratch because DSTONEY642000 has joined the team and is letting us use his previous work. There is still a lot of content to add almost everywhere in the game. Particularly Telos, Ebon Hawk and Malachor V. Excuse, if has incorrectly translated.The patcher replaces some of the .rim and .erf files and adds content to others but it will currently add only one entirely new module 854NIH.mod that contains the cutscene between Nihilus and Sion. The M4-78 modules will be added as new later. Sleheyron is not included in TSL or this project. Team Jawa is adding it for KotOR 1 though.

I have a question. There are 2 mods from team-gizka.org:
- Handmaiden Training->Cutscene Fix
- Nihilus-Visas In-Game Cutscene Tweak
both have wp_cut_pclast.utw file.

Now in witch order i copy the mods in Override folder?

Well, I downloaded the mod and am enjoying it. I really like the fact that you fight 'yourself' first..although I don't think it makes sense for a darkside character.

How is production, by the way?

At: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/K2RP;83115 there is a mod called "K2RP (Updated)". In the comments it says that the mod includes the Peragus fixes. Does this mean this mod includes the "prolog_peragus_harbinger_issues" mod? Also, if I have installed the peragus mod already and this mod includes it, will it prevent this mod from working right? Also is it ok to have the HQ fixes installed before installing this mod or do the HQ updates have nothing to do with this mod?

Finally, I don't think it has anything to do with this, but I it is a puzzeling error I keep getting. Just as I start up Kotor 2, I get this message with the title: Windows - No Disk
and the message: Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c
with the buttons: cancel, try again, and continue. The disk is in.

There are some fixes you can install on Team Gizka's site and some other updates about but the main restoration awaits TSLRP's efforts, hopefully soon in the new year.

you should probably combine the Readme files of the old version and the current version so that people know what they have to download, change and or remove, made it hard for me to find out what files so i had to go to filefront and get the older version so yeah if you could combine the readme files that would help a lot

A public beta test is scheduled to happen soon. Although thats what I've been getting from forum posts but I'd rather they take their time and finish everything on their plate first before doing so. Some of us have been waiting 4 years for something like this (ever since the community found out about the missing content and extra files) so we can all WAIT a bit longer for their efforts.

Truthfully, if you install all the temporary fixes (and music and game patches), you should be good to go to play without any problems. Its probably better that you do since the TSLRP mod might bring its own bugs and errors that might mess up the game for you.

I've played the game through many a time and even that first play-through, I really only found the game to be lacking near the end so its probably better that you play it before the mod comes out so you can appreciate the changes made.

Just my two cents, 'do what you feel is right' ;)

A question: I installed the second-to-last version of K2RP (since the very last version released was taken down from Filefront because of the "big incident" before I had a chance to get a hold of the latest version). I installed all of the files from Team Gizka's site that the readme says to install first, except that afterward, when I used the installer to install K2RP itself, many of the those files turned out to already be in there! So what i decided to do was go through the install log, find all of the files in the patchthat it said conflicted, and install them manually from the "tslpatchdata" folder into the "override" folder, letting them overwrite what was already there. Was that a good move or does it really matter?

Okay, I'm playing The Sith Lords and there is a problem when I try to talk to T3-M4: when I operate on his behavior core and it's time for him to play the recording of Bastila, it does not play and his dialogue ends. I'll choose any of the three dialogue choices to initiate the recording ("Well, let's hear the recording," etc.) and then it all just ends.

I've recently installed K2RP, that new Black Sun underwear mod, and several other mods, but I can't seem to isolate the problem. Does anyone have any idea what it might be?

I've also tried removing all T3 files, including dialogue files, from my override folder, but that doesn't help one bit.

And two other things that seem to be malfunctioning are the mods that replace the FMVs with Nihilus and Visas aboard the Ravager and Kreia, Sion and Nihilus at the Trayus Core with their in-game counterparts. The former now doesn't work at all. It played the FMV version. The latter still works, i.e. it still replaces the FMV with the in-game version, but there is no music.

But I'm mostly concerned with the T3 dialogue. Any ideas?

Yes that is a problem with K2rp it will be fixed in next build. You may be able to delete the t3m4.dlg from your override. But you will need to back up to an earlier save before talking to him I think it is something to do with a global getting set.

Okay, just reporting a bug: the problem detailed in my previous post is caused by the bastila_holo file. You guys may want to check that out for your next release.

Also, which files must I delete in order to remove the Dustil quest? I didn't really like it at all. I didn't care for the voice actor and it just generally felt... unconvincing.

(The following paragraph was in response to someone who asked me to explain the problem further down, but the post was deleted. I felt that I should add this explanation so that my post makes sense.)

Well, I just explained it a few posts up, but for the sake of convenience I'll repeat it: The dead Jedi inside the tomb of Ludo Kresh on Korriban was originally supposed to have been Dustil Onasi, alive and well and driven insane. K2RP restored this, except that there was apparently no dialogue left, so they recorded it themselves. However, the voice actor, to be frank about it, is quite laughable and unconvincing, thus ruining the effect altogether. (It doesn't really seem like you're talking Dustil Onasi. And please, no offense to the actor.) For this reason I wish to remove this part of the restored content.

M4-78 is still continuing as it was my project anyway all the other stuff belongs to Balor and others.
