Hello everybody.

I plan to give KOTOR and KOTOR 2 a couple of good run-downs, with mods at work. Now, my previous computer isn't fit to do that.. so I've been forced with the challenge of purchasing a new computer. I want to buy the best possible system, but I'm not sure what the best graphics card, operating system, sound card etc. to run it on.

If you guys could give me a run-down, I'd very much appreciate it. :)

1) Look at the "recommended" specs on the box.

2) Jump for joy when you realize that these games are so old that they require relatively cheap hardware by today's standards.;)

I'll take a crack at it off the top of my head.

CPU: Even the cheapest Athlon64 X2 or Core2 Duo will run these games with ease.
Memory: I managed to run these games with 256MB. So, given that the standard is now 2GB, there's no problem there.
Graphics card: The minimum that I'd recommend is a 7600GT or an X1650 in order to run these games with everything maxed out.

All in all, pretty low requirements by today's standards. If you have an older desktop on hand already, you could probably meet these specs with an upgrade instead of buying a whole new machine.

My system runs these games well enough and it's ancient:

CPU: P4 2.4GHZ
Memory: 768MB
Graphics card: 6800GT

Good luck!:)
