Recently I've been creating PCs for the first KotOR game, because I wanted to be able to play as an alien instead of just as a human.

Alrighty then, so far I've completed my Lizards and Wookies. I'm also working on a whole bunch of others, including the Echani. Right now I'm just tweaking the Dark Side tattoos. I've given them shiny eyes and hair with the CM_baremetal shader.

In the future, I plan on doing some Miraluka, Mandalorians, Twi'leks, Sand People, and more. For the Miraluka, I'd need to figure out a way to give them Force Sight in first person view. It'd be easy in TSL, but I don't know how to do it in K1.
I know that it'll take a while to finish all of them. So far the Echani have taken me about 20hrs to get this far, and the Lizards and Wookiees had taken me nearly 4 months to complete. I've really been enjoying modding, so its just a matter of doing the work.
From time to time, I'll post a new screen shot of something I'm working on.

These all look outstanding, loving the Echani idea. If you're looking for more species to add, well the Chiss or Nagai would be somewhat easier to do. Hey, maybe you should combine your mod project with the author doing this one in this (http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=180073) thread. Since the mods are similar it would eventually provide a ton of extra species for players to choose from.

Thanks, Gargoyle_King. I've kinda been keeping an eye on Thanatos9t's thread since its right in line with what I want to do. I figure that I'll start on PCs that (s)he's not working on, so that people will have more DL options. His (her) work is great so far, and I can't wait for it to be finished. From my own experience tho, I can understand if it takes Thanatos9t a while to complete.

As for my own mods, I'm pretty happy with the tattoos for the Echani females:

I've given them shiny silver eyes that become more saturated blue as they go further to the DS, and I wanted thier tattoos/facepaint to highlight and accentuate that. Now all I've got to do is make some tats for the males.

BTW, does anyone know if there have been any brown Echani, or are they all pale? I know that there are humans that are trained in the Echani fighting styles, but I want to know if there are any Echani by bloodline with white hair and tan or brown skin. I think that it would look great, but I still want to stay somewhat true to the expanded universe of species.

hmm... i dont know, personally i dont like "huge-eye-covering-tattoos" but the rest of your work is great man...

how about making a slightly toned down version? like the first of those female echanis? (that one is great btw, just the way i like it)

Thanks for the helpful opinion. Yeah, I think its hard to do the large eye tats without making them look like clown makeup or Kiss wannabees. I was already a little unsatisfied with the second female's tats, so I'll probably re-work them a little bit. In the meantime, here is a preliminary look at the males:

I still have a few touches to finish up with them (there are a few crooked lines), but I think that the style of these ones suits the Echani. Simple, yet distinguishable. They don't need to have thier entire faces covered like Darth Maul to look like they mean business ;). The main thing is to make those bright blue eyes stand out.

I appreciate every one's opinions, so please keep 'em coming.

Yeah... I think you're right about the Kiss thing. The third female's looking a little bit like Star Child. Love the first one, though, and all the male heads look pretty smooth and the tats don't seem to stick out like a sore thumb. :)

Arrgh!! Just when I thought I was almost done (just working on the screen shots), I discovered that some of the head models that I chose for my Echani don't have head gear hooks. I can equip goggles, the stats and modifiers will be applied, but the model doesn't show up on the character's face :(. Now I have to figure out how to add the hook to the mdl.

Will I need to do some hex editing, or can I merge two mdl's together? So far my hex editing skills are limited to changing the name of the model and bitmap, so I'm not sure where to start.

It isn't a big deal for the Echani if the goggles or masks don't appear on the character in game, but I want to be able to put head gear on my Miraluka (to cover thier empty eye sockets). So far I've been working on Jerec, but there will be more.

Oh well, more learning is in store for me :headbump.

Alright, it's been awhile, but I've been busy working on stuff. I've finally released my PC Echani mod, and I've started a few others at the same time. Many of theses are still really early, and need more work. I'm putting my Miraluka on hold for a while, until I can figure out how to get goggle and mask hooks into the .mdl files.

Here are some new weapons, with some more to come. I'm also trying to make Gurke actually look like the ringleader of a gang, with a giant axe. I've had some trouble getting his appearance to work, but I got lucky today. His texture still needs a LOT of work. I started trying to make a playable Gamorrean character, but the .mdl is just too simple, and I couldn't get it to work :(. I'll probably have to modify an existing armor and head model which will take a long time :headbump.

Of course, I will continue to make new playable characters based on my Species Specific Feats mod. Some that I've started on are a Cathar female, and a Tusken male. I really don't think that Juhani is the most catlike looking character I've ever seen, so I'm going to try and make mine look like the "Lion Man" that was seen in the Star Wars Holiday Special. I've never seen that show myself, but it's the only photo of a Cathar that I've seen. All the others have been in the comics or games. She's still really early, and I'm definately going to add stripes or spots later on. If anyone has any input as to how well the model is looking so far, please let me know. If I can get the style of the mouth, nose, and ears right, then I think I'll do 6 to 10 PCs. What can I say, I like cat people.
Same thing for the Tusken. His jedi robe model is looking good so far (smaller face mask pipes, no back pack), but I've still got to iron out the textures. I'm trying to set it up so that it will be really easy to convert an existing robe.tga to fit this one. Any suggestions, please share them.

Hey Redrob! Man you're a busy little bee and have got some good ideas so far. Your finished works are of the highest quality and I will expect the same from anything else you release and look forward to it.

As to the pre-holiday update:

Weapons:

- for the most part I like what you're doing here. The weapons in the first pic look good. The third pic's axes look really good as well although is the first one supposed to be crooked like that? Not like it wouldn't kill someone either way.

- the only thing I'm not feeling is the second pic. The club and hand axe just look a little too primitive for Star Wars for me. Again, just my opinion.

Characters:

- Your tusken's look really good and as it just so happens that I've recently read of a Jedi that was with the tusken's so I'll totally buy into that.

- As to your Cathar, I'm not sure I'll like the direction you're going to go with it right now, but then again it's so early that's kind of a empty statement. I'm not sure I like what's happening with the mouth at this point, but really what does that mean this early in your process. It could easily turn out extremely cool. I'm just having a serious "Beauty and the Beast" TV show flashback right now. Remember Ron Pearlman in that?

Anyways, I can see you're working your butt off on a lot of different mods at once and what you've released so far has been stellar so I can't wait for your next update.

Hey Darth Oilking, thanks for the useful opinions. I'll try to address a few of your questions.
- Yes, the one axe is supposed to be crooked, and yer right, it'll still chop a Vulker with ease.
- I'm glad you think that the club & hand axe look primative, since that's what I was aiming for. They're gonna be for Gammoreans, who are a really primitve species.
- Yeah, I just learned about A'Sharrad Hett myself, thanks to my new Star Wars: Panel to Panel book. Even though he's not actually Tusken, only a human in Tusken's clothes, I think it looks great.
- Cathar. Hmm, I'm still not sure if I want to make them really feline, or almost human, or somewhere in between. I guess I'm hoping for a few opinions. And yes, I do remember Vincent in all his lion-like glory. I also like the look of the cat people on the new Doctor Who series. Whereas the Stephen King movie Sleepwalkers had some simpler cat makeup that wasn't quite enough for me. The total feline look would be similar to the Egyptian goddess Bast (or Bastet), who had the head of a cat (or sometimes a lioness). Or even a were-cat, but I'd have to change the body models so that the legs were more animal like. So it seems that there are a lot of different routes I could go. all I know is that Juhani just doesn't look right to me (or a lot of other KotOR fans either), and I don't want to go down that road.
Any opinions are always welcome.

Well, I'm slowly working on some, but it's going to take me quite a long while to do since I'm planning on a lot of details and multiple clothes. I just ordered myself a couple of books, Star Wars visual dictionary and Dressing the Galaxy (costumes of Star Wars), so that I'll have some good visual references from now on. I plan on making 6 underwears (Scout, Scoundrel & Soldier LS & DS), 12 regular clothes (4 each class), 4 jedi robes, plus 5 head skins for DS transitions. That's a total of 27 .tga files just for ONE Twi'lek! Plus any model work! Needless to say, it'll be a looooong time before this one is ready (I'm aiming for summer), but I'll make it worth the wait.
In the meantime, I'll still work on other mods at the same time.

Like i said before maybe if ya can its up to u, if ya start on K2, im a total noob on skinning heads. I kno i tried i almost threw my game into destruction, causing major gliches, missing heads...blah blah blah, atc atc.

Anyhow, on to the update. I've been slowly working on my Tusken male. So far I've got the four standard jedi robes done (although I just noticed that I missed the glove colour of the brown robe). I tried to set up the uvw map so that it will be easier for anyone to modify a custom robe to fit the Tusken. I'll try to get permission from some of the major robe skinners out there (like all the robes in the Holowan Plug-in), so that I can add more than just the basic four that come with the game.

I've also done the seven PMBC armours. There are a total of 43 armours that come with the game, so it'll be awhile before they are all done. Due to the limitations of the Tusken model, he has to always be wearing a robe of some kind (or a skirt). I can change the backpack, but not the long skirt area around his legs. Because of this, I decided that he has his favourite desert robe and back pack that he wears overtop of the armour. So, I change the legs, boots, and gloves to match the armour, then make it look like his robe is open in front, revealing part of the chest plate.

Unfortunately it means that, from behind, he'll look pretty much the same no matter which armour he wears. I toyed with trying to make his robe a colour that matches the armour, but that's even more work, and it doesn't quite make sense that his robe and pack magically change colour, or that if Carth takes off his armour to give to the Tusken, suddenly there is an extra robe and pack that Carth didn't wear. I could play the "willful suspension of disbelief" card, but its taking me too long just to do the work that I've got done so far, so why add more work recolouring the robe.

For the heavy armours, I'll re-model the guantlets and boots to be bigger, and match the standard armour model.

A problem I've been having is that I don't know how to change the lighting that hits the model in game. What I've done is flatten the eye goggles so that he looks like he has a full face mesh sleeping mask. The problem is that the goggles still have the highlights and shadows on them, instead of flat lighting. It also still shows up around the area that the back pack harness used to be, but isn't as obvious. I don't know how to use G-max well enough yet to fix it. Or maybe the light and shadow is embedded in the .mdl and .mds files? Any help would be great.

If you want, I made a few custom robes that I didn't release that you could use for the Tuskens.

This is some quality stuff. I like how you do the torn opening on the chest on the Tuskens to reveal the armor below. Really cool. It'd be rather awkward when you get to the Tusken enclave on Tatooine, though. (Tusken Revan: Tell me of the Tusken culture.)

Exactly right RD. I'm still diligently working away at it. I can't give any release date, since I'm putting a lot of work into this. So far I've got the 23 skins (out of 43) for armour class C, D, & E. I re-did the jacket though, because I didn't like how light the colour was in comparison to the dark sleeves of the armour textures. I also added a little bit of a cuff so that it looks like the jacket sleeve is pulled down over the shirt sleeve (second from left in screenshot). Now there isn't as much contrast.
This is some quality stuff. I like how you do the torn opening on the chest on the Tuskens to reveal the armor below.
Thanks. For armour classes F, G, & H I'm going to change the shape of the back pack (I'd call it a jet pack, but it'll be non-functional in-game). There's going to be controls on the front of the harness. I'll also change the shape of the boots and gauntlets to match the standard model for each armour. So far I've got the model for class F, and the gauntlets come up higher on the sleeve to cover the cuff (left and second from right in screenshot). The boots are bigger, with a knee pad, but it's hard to see them with the long cloak.

As for going to Tatooine, this Tusken comes from a different clan than the ones in the enclave. That's why his face mask looks smaller. Sandpeople are territorial, and don't like outside clans. So, he'll still have to wear the local's clothing as a disguise.

Hey, no problem. If you see any other threads that way "WIP", that usually means "Work In Progress". It's an easy way for modders to show people what they're working on, and to get feed back so as to make the mod better.

I've now gotten the seven armour textures for class F all done. That makes 30 out of 43. Here are a couple action shots (that show off the "jet pack"), and a couple side by side comparisons.

Well, I'd like to do a Quarren, but its still going to be at least two more weeks before my Tusken is done (maybe more). After that, I'll be working on some other characters that I've already got started. I can certainly add a Quarren to my to-do list.

As for the Species Feats mod, I'm going to wait untill I've got a lot more playable aliens finished before I re-release it. I'll definately be adding more aliens to the feats mod list (including Quarrens & Chiss). The only problem is the amount of time it takes to get things finished. But, I'm glad that you're enjoying it!

In the meantime, there are a lot of talented modders out there that are also creating playable aliens. Most likely they'll be compatible with my Species Feats mod.

The animations that come with it will be the same as the disguise you wear on Tattooine. Most of the time he is hunched over, but every once in a while he stands up to look around. He also uses the default fighting animations, and those are all pretty much upright. In my screenshots, I hit the pause button to get him while he was upright.

Well, I'd really like to, but it's a little too time consuming. I've been working on the male Tusken for months now, and I think that if I do a female, I'll have to cut back on the amount of work (fewer textures and models). I've also got a lot of other ideas I want to do, so a female Tusken is a little lower on the priority list.

Oh, the complications of having high aspirations, and fitting them in around a full time job, real life, and getting more than 4 hours of sleep a night. :xp:

Here's an update. I've got the next six textures done for class G (36 out of 45). Now I've got the seven class H and the two class J (I forgot about the star forge armours). I'm getting closer to being done. Here's some screenshots:

Yeah, I'd like to see some Froglings too (I heard George Lucas call them that on a DVD commentary track somewhere). I figure that they'd look great just wearing the top part of an armour, 'cause that'd be the right size. Just the breastplates and arms. I think it'd be hilarious. But, it would be a ton of work, just like the Tusken. I think that after I get him done, I'll stick to some more manageable aliens for a while. Probably some Rattataki or other species that I'd only have to do heads for (maybe a custom clothing as well, who knows).

Lately I needed a break from doing the Tusken. The final armours are a bit harder to do. I think I'll have to make them 768x768 pixels instead of the standard 512x512, just to get more detail from the in-game armour textures. Oh well.

In the meantime, I've done a couple textures to make Carth and the PCs dress like a Republic soldier (just to keep busy). I'll attach a couple screenshots when ImageShack isn't bogged down.

Well, sort of. I'll be making a separate mod that includes Republic coloured clothing for all 3 classes of PC (male & female). The reason why is that my Species Feats mod spawns a new locker on the Endar Spire, and inside it is Clothing Variant 2. This way, all the Clothing Variant 2 textures will be for the Republic. I'll probably also do ones for the other party members, so that everyone can run around as part of the Republic army. I might even do some medium and heavy armours in grey and orange.

The reason why I started it now is that I wanted to do one for the Tusken, and I needed to be a little more familiar with what Trask and the other soldiers wore. So, here is what he'll look like with standard clothing (left) and Republic Combat Suit (right) underneath his brown robe:

I really like this armor mod Rob. It really adds a lot of customizations. Also, the quality of the armors on that tusken are very good :). Keep up the good work.

Ok, I've got all the Tusken models and textures finalized. I had a bit of a problem getting the dark side underwear to show up, so I needed a head model to attach to it. At first I used head #66 (N_DarthRevanH.mdl), but it created a new problem. Any time I put on goggles or masks, it would clip through the Tusken's head and move in a different direction than the Tusken's head. So, to fix it, I edited head #66 and deleted the goggle hook and mask hook. I exported it from Gmax, and converted it to binary using MDLOps. Usually this would cause a head model to explode, but since it's going to be invisible, it doesn't matter if it exploded (I don't know if it did, 'cause I can' see it :)). So far it seems to be working ok. I'll test it all the way through the game to see if any problems come up.

Once I've finished, I'll also finish off another soundset mod so that I'll have a full set of Tusken voices.

Good work redrob41 it now shouldn't crash if the Tusken appears on the character creator screen, I was having the same problem with the Rodian, but considering the Rodian doesn't have a headhook I didn't need to edit head 66.

Alright, the Tusken is almost done. I'm just doing a playthrough to check for bugs. I'll make a few more screenshots, and it should be done (hopefully this weekend). I can't believe how long its taken for me to do all this, for just one character.

As for my next mod, I'll be doing some nice simple Rattataki. Danyael27 recently posted a mod request (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=188525) for Aurra Sing, and I just happen to already be working on one. So far I've got the head model and textures done, but I'm working on the default clothes. Here are some screen shots:

I've got to iron out the seam between the head and neck of the scout model (which looks most like Aurra's outfit). As for the soldier, there's still some touching up to do to the arms and gloves. I wanted it to look like she's put the armour on over top of her red jump suit. I haven't started the scoundrel's clothes yet, but it should follow the same idea. I've tried pretty hard to make the head model look similar to the actress (especially around the nose and jaw line). Unfortunately there aren't enough polygons in the ponytail to make it as big as the movie character (if it gets any bigger, it'll be too blocky).

In the end, it'll be a character pack with 2 female & 3 male Rattataki, as well as Aurra Sing. Two of the Characters will be Asajj Ventres and Aidus. Does any one know of any other Rattataki? Each character will have dark side transitions, as well as pale skin colour underwear. I'm going to try to convert Revan's cutscene Star Forge robes into a robe for Asajj. Everyone else will have standard armour and robe models.

Unfortunately, that means that I won't be doing any froglings or Rakata right away. Some Mandalorians are near the top of the list though.

I took PMHB03 and moved the verts around until I got a nice Duro shaped head. This way, he'll be able to use every medium size clothing model in the game. His head is a little larger than normal humans, so when equiping headgear it will clip a little, but it doesn't look too bad. I used the basic combat suit (PMBC01) and applied the Duros space suit texture to it, and added a name bar over the front left pocket.
His face is scarred from surviving the Taris bombing; they are healed over, but as he goes to the dark side, they slowly begin opening up.
It would have been WAY too much work to edit the basic N_Duros textures to make one for every armour and robe in the game. This way, has many more advantages. The only disadvantages is that his posture doesn't match the other Duros in the game, and he has 5 digits on each hand instead of 4 like the other Duros. The original Duros in episode IV had 5 digits.

So, he should be a cool party member to run around with you :)
Consider that a sample. A K1 version won't have the name tag or the scars, and I'll probably do a couple shades of blue\grey. The skin is asymmetrical, so maybe I'll add some different scars or tattoos. Who knows.

I'll be back onto the Aurra Sing & Asajj Ventress mods soon.

I didn't do anything fancy to make it asymmetrical. All I did was edit the uvw map in NWmax so that both sides of the face were showing (most models only show half). I also moved one of the ears into a separate area. The back of the head, side and neck are all mirrored though. It takes a lot of time, but is worth it to unwrap and edit the uvw-map.

Now then, you might be wondering why all the males have facial hair. I went down to my local comic shop and picked up a copy of Clone Wars Volume 5 trade paperback. One of the stories is from Star Wars Republic 60: Hate and Fear, which includes Asajj Ventress' backstory, as well as taking place on the planet Rattatak. Asajj had a lot of her soldiers there, and all the men had bald heads and moustaches and/or goatees. Since this is the only real source of images I have for the Rattataki male, I'm not sure if it is just that artists' idea, or if it is cannon. The image on Wookieepedia is of Asajj's right hand man, Aidus, and while hard to see, he does have a short cropped moustache and beard.

At any rate, I've made these six with crazy face scruff. I'll probably do some more, maybe with a little less facial hair, or even none. Untill then, though, I'll be on vacation for a couple weeks.

Woo, last post in June? Sorry I've neglected this for so long.

Well, I've been really busy with the Revenge of Revan mod, but I've finally gotten around to releasing the K1 Rattataki mod. You can find it here (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=194578) :D. It is only a first release, since there aren't any unique clothes for Asajj Ventress. I'll keep working at new robes for her in 2009, but it has proven difficult so far. Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before I release an update :migraine:.

Thanks. I've also made some combat suits for the Sith, Czerka, the TSF & Corellian military (for Revenge of Revan). I plan on making a few more for minor organizations, like Hidden Beks & Black Vulcars etc. I'll probably release them as a modders resource. Rather than placing them in-game myself, I'll leave it up to other people to use them to expand the variety of NPCs. The other good news about them is that I'm making everything with tgas that are available in both games, so there isn't any problem with porting. I'll post some screen shots later after I get home.

Edit: These screenshots are from TSL, but the skins will work just fine in K1. I'll also include uti's and models (uvw map fixed) for both games. I chose the combat suit because it is the only model for both genders that has a significant portion that is not mirrored. I've put a logo on the back panel of each suit.

I plan to do some more like the Exchange (based on Davik's suit PMBE07); Black Vulkars (based on N_swoopgang01 & 02); GenoHaradan (based on N_Rodian03). I'd do one for the Hidden Beks, but they seem to wear whatever armour suit they can find, and don't really have any "gang colours".

That makes a total of eight combat suits. I can't really think of any others to do. The Hidden Beks don't really have any gang colors; the GenoHaradan are too secretive to have uniforms. Any suggestions?

Hey redrob41, is it possible to get the Jango Fett armor that you display in some of you mod sreenshots on kotor2files.com? Just wondering... I would appreciate it if I could obtain them somehow.

I haven't ever made a Jango Fett armour. If you could you post a link to the screenshot, I'll let you know. If you mean all the Mando armours that I'm doing for the Revenge of Revan mod, I'm going to wait untill the main mod is released before making any smaller mod packs. I know how much people like those Mandos, so I'll probably do it someday, but I still think that seeing them in the context of the RoR story will be better :).

Redrob, this is easily some of the best skinning work I've seen in a long time! These are kandosii! Mirid'la Rob, vor'e. Might I suggust doing a damaged/destroyed/scrounged suit? Ya'know, one that looks really ramshackle, as in pieced together from scraps. Like something someone in the lower-city on Taris would wear.

That's a cool idea. if only it came a couple of days ago before I submitted the pack, I could have made some. :argh:. Oh well, maybe in an update after people share more ideas :).

I haven't uploaded Carth's yet. I plan on making Republic versions of all the Party's clothes, as well as the standard Scout, Scoundrel & Soldier clothes. Once I've got them all done, I'll make a mod (or add them to a revamped Species Specific Feats mod). Since I jump around a lot with what I'm working on, only time will tell when it is done. I can only do what I can.

Also, I'll be taking the summer off for my wedding, honeymoon, and settling in with my wife. I'll be busy with all that, and my modding time will drop quite a bit. I currently squeeze in about 20 hours a week, but I might drop that down to less than 7 a week until fall. Who knows, since my life will be full of new, exciting stuff soon :D.

On another note, I was wondering if you could maybe do a Mandalorian combat suit (I'm sure they need lighter armour sometimes). It's just a suggestion though.

Keep your chin up, and keep practicing. I can't count the number of hours I spend modding these games. I heard that a person needs at least 10000 hours of practice at anything to be truly good at it (like elite pianists, artists and athletes).

and a very good suggestion it is. I'll add it to the list along with worn-out, piece-meal armour (as per Ulmont), and a mechanic's overalls (like the one I did for Nindo Bahr of RoR). If I get a couple more suggestions, I'll make a little update to my combat suit mod.

That'd be really cool, but soooooo hard to do. When I first made my Species Feats mod, I planned on doing a lot of aliens, including Jawas. The problem is that most of the models for aliens are missing animations (usually combat). They also are single body (humans and Twi'leks use common body models with individual head models) which is harder to deal with. The only ones I've had success with were the Zaalbaresque Wookiees and Tusken (since the models have every animation already). In order for them to use armours and robes, I had to re-model 10 mdls and re-skin, like, 48 textures. It took too long, and only a small handful of people truly appreciate it. So, I've held off on doing more aliens, and stuck to near-humans.

Anyone who can edit a .2da file can make a quick and dirty Jawa tho. I explained it once for a female Tusken (http://www.lucasforums.com/showpost.php?p=2465537&postcount=19). The process would be similar, just substitute the Jawa's .2da line and his .mdl and .tga names instead.

Maybe I should just make up a TSLPatcher for all the difficult aliens, so they're all quick and dirty. They wouldn't have any change of clothes, but they'd still be able to have the stats of an equiped armour or robe.

You cant just use animations of another model onto a different model, sadly dosent work that way. Ask SithSpecter, he is the master at that kind of stuff. Cant wait for his cape....

A few people here and at FileFront have asked if the Tusken Jedi robes could be used to replace the standard Jedi robe (tunic) for K1. I gave it a try yesterday, and had mixed results. I was able to model the Tusken head out of the way, and get the PMHC01 head to show up on it. That worked fine, but all his animations were the same as the Tusken (mostly the hunched over resting body position). It would look strange to go from standing tall in a suit of heavy armour, then put on a robe and suddenly look like he's carrying a piano on his back. If I can figure out a way to change the animation set, then I'll go ahead with it. Settoken seems to have recently come up with a way to do it, but he's still working out the method, and hasn't released a tutorial yet. I'll keep an eye out for it tho, so hopefully one day (in the future) I'll be able to make a long Jedi robe for K1.
I haven't played with it in a while, because I wasn't having favourable results. It still might be possible, but I'm just concentrating on other stuff right now.

I'm trying to make a quick and dirty playable version of all the aliens (just one skin each, plus portraits), but some of them are giving me grief. It's all about the pesky animations :mad:. The other stumbling block is the modeltpe column in the appearance.2da. I'm not sure what all the different letters stand for (B = big?, S = simple?, L = ?, F = ?).

I'm also working on new underwear skins & models for both K1 & TSL.

Of course, everything has got to take a back seat to packing and moving.

From my limited experience with the appearance.2da file, all that I can tell you from my experience is that F = Full Body Model. You'll probably have to look at the models to see the differences in them.

I swear I remember someone making a tutorial about this, but my keen eyesight isn't seeing one.
