Well there are other ways to change apperences then modding like KSE but in this case you must put the files in the override folder :D

kay so i will delet those files. but i got past the part where it would freeze *once* and all i did was go into the .BIF then 2da.BIF then the arrays and made the playable characters wear revans actual robes (i copied N_DarthRevan from farther up in the blueprints) and only typed that in fr the underwear and had them wearing no clothes. so the only time iwas able to play i had revans clothes on with the hood up and everything but my face was going through the mask and i couldnt walk...

So, what were you trying to do in the first place? There may be another, more simple way.

If you've edited the appearance types they use in appearance.2da make sure you click on another line in the file before saving, or your changes won't be saved. Then save the file in your override folder.

If you're just changing the UTC templates of characters to give them a new appearance type or clothing, either save the UTC file in the override folder or in the module you extracted them from (to avoid possible naming conflicts). If you give them armor or clothing keep in mind that not all appearance types are set up to handle clothing, and may cause the game to crash. (You can check this in the appearance.2da file, if the model* columns have their value set to **** on a line that appearance type will not work properly if you give armor to NPCs using it.)
