Hello!

Some npcs say a oneliner if one iniciates a conversation. Where is that implemented and how do I find the StrngResRef number?

Hey there. Dialogs are set in the conversation field of the NPC's .utc file. To have an NPC with just one line to say, you'd create a new dialog file for them with just the one node on it.

As for the StrRef number, you can look at a current dialog file and find the one you want or look through the dialog.tlk file which show's all StrRef's.

If you are creating a custome NPC and Dialog, just enter -1 for the StrRef and then you can type whatever you wish.

Ahm, actually not. I think I did not make myself clear. I mean the oneliners which show up in a blue (?) box if one clicks on the npc. Its not that one can start a conversation with that npc, its just a comment or statement he or she does and that is all.

Well, when you just create the one node like Deadly Stream explained, it automatically shows up into that blue box instead of the normal conversation screen.
