I don't know if this is the right forum to post, but I write it here anyway.

I was just now working on the restoration of Garrum and Tar'eelok. My cd drive suddenly made crazy noices while I wanted to start KotOR anew. Before I could open the drive there was a crash sound, and not only the sound was crashy but my cd also. It came out in bits and peices.

To make a long story short I have to buy a new game before I can restart my work (and the game is still not cheap in Germany I can tell you). And presumably my drive is damaged if not destroyed also.

Good for you, I'll not pester you with questions for a couple of days (hopefully).

Isn't there something called No-CD?

I think i've heard it mentioned a couple of times.

Anyway, i agree with Sekan. This is terrible news.

There is a No-CD Crack, but they're illegal. Seam, you can still play LEGALLY. It works with most games too:

Step One: Download Xfire - www.xfire.com

Step Two: Install it and make a account

Step Three: It should detect your installed games

Step Four: Right click the Xfire icon in your toolbar, go to Launch and then pick Knights Of The Old Republic

I'm able to play my game like that, as my CD-Drive wont read a CD with no scratches at all on it.
