and the ending kinda made up for the ****ty moments of the movie http://www.escapemi.com/forums/smile.gif
has anyone else seen it yet?

I had a fight over my best friend about it, we agreed to see it together, but noooooo she put her bf first and saw it with him, as she usually ends up doing with movies http://www.escapemi.com/forums/frown.gif Besides, why should I give up going to the footy just so I can see a movie with her http://www.escapemi.com/forums/mad.gif It's not like I can go to the footy any time, each week is different, but you can go to the movies anytime, so I still haven't seen it and don't know when I will get to either http://www.escapemi.com/forums/frown.gif

I think the Apes was lying about how they should live in pease with the Humans. So when Leo left and got to the future, the apes let Thade free and started kill all humans....

Burton's creative well ran dry several years ago. The ending of Planet of the Apes was ripped right out of the CREATIVE mind of Kevin Smith. News here:

http://www.viewaskew.com/main.html

Kevin is taking it with a wry smile, but Tim's statement that "I don't read comic books" is an absolutely pathetic attempt to cover up what was (obvious to me) plagorism.

I saw Planet of the Apes. I didn't like it very much. I don't know why, I don't know how, I just can't explain my dislike of the film.

But about Tim Burton burning out, I'd have to agree. When I watched Planet of the Apes, just for the cinematography aspects, I couldn't distingush this as a Burton film from any other ordinary Hollywood high priced movie. The images, while they should be spectacular, didn't seem that way, nor did they look very Burton-esque at all. Sleepy Hollow and Planet of the Apes do kind of show that Burton is running on empty.

I'm glad I read this thread trough my eyes closed so I didn't see it http://www.escapemi.com/forums/wink.gif

Ok, so the name should've been called Planet of the MegaMonkey's, and it should've starred me, but I had hurries unfortunately. I know those apes look big and bad, but wait 'til you see me in my full naked glory!

Yeah, it was mighty entertaining, I'll give it that, but not the artistic movie I thought Burton was going to create. But a good, entertaining, fun film to see. Go and watch it!

I'll go and watch how my smaller than small cousins are doing in the films...

One of them has a very promising acting-career beginning!

And rumours say they're masked human..

LISTEN TO ME - THEY'RE REAL APES.

Of course they're going to annihilate me after saying this, and you won't probably see me ever again.

what didnt fit so much, was that the humans were in an action film, and the apes seemed to be playing in a disney film....their acting was way to "toony"..... but i guess they were the comic releaf

Erm, guys, if you're gonna wreck the plot for anyone who hasn't seen it, at least put a warning at the top of your messages. I'm going to see this tonight, but I think I know the ending now thansk to a certain Mr NiKo http://www.escapemi.com/forums/smile.gif. The word ending wasn't in the sentence, it was just
"From what I figured..."
Anyway, never mind, I didn't read all of it

Ok, I finally saw it and I dont get this....

He was in the year 2000 somethin when he was on the ship, then he was in year like 2400 or so on the planet. When he got back to Earth, it was the year 2100 somethin. So how did they have a statue for Thades when he would not exist for about 200 more years?

Oh well, good movie....

Ship: about year 2000-2100
Planet of the apes: don't know really, later. maybe 2400.
"Back" to earth: maybe year 3000???

It's crap! It instilled no kind of emotion in me: there was no 'awww' factor, you didn't give a **** about the characters. The plot was convoluted, the villians not evil enough, the good guys not on the side of good enoguh, there was no humour (vital without any other emotions). It's absolute crap.

OK WARNING, THIS IS MY TAKE ON THE MOVIE.... DON'T READ NOW IF YOU DON'T WANNA READ MY INSANE BABBLING

He was on that lil spaceship thingie with the cute widdle monkey who he was training to be an astronaght, (wasn't that kyooote?) anyway, they're approaching the storm, and they send the kyoote lil monkey to investigate and he gets losted. Anyway whatshisname (Mark Whalberg) goes in after him, the lightning storm causes the computer to go stupid and sends him forward in time like 1000years or something. (coz when they found the spaceship, the apes said it's been there for thousands of years)

My guessing, the humans were the offspring of all those who were on board the ship at the time, look, they're stranded with a bunch of monkeys, of course they're gonna get bored http://www.escapemi.com/forums/tongue.gif

Anyway, the cute lil monkey from the beginning of the movie is the god they worship, the exact same thing happened to him as it did to Mark Whalberg, only he went a few days more into the future, those lil spaceship thingies were programmed to go back to the spaceship, I can't remember why they thought cute lil monkey was their god, but oh well (I think it was due to the fact if it hadn't been for him getting lost then none of this woulda happened)

So then he leaves the panet of the apes, after all movie getting turned on by the female ape and the woman with the blonde hair (I'm sorry anyone who has sexual feelings for an ape is just well, I'm sorry I can't describe the words, it's almost as sick as animal fu*king, I guess the difference is at least he only kissed her, that makes up for it)

So he goes back into the storm thingo, and goes back in time, only back 900years or whatever it was, and crashes on another planet.

The thing I don't get is the spaceship was still in pretty good working order, so if they were on Earth the whole time, then how come the space station on Earth wouldn't have been able to pick them up? Like their signal?

Hmmmmmm stwange, oh well

But if you looked at the years on his ship as they went by, he came back to earth in 2200 or so, not 3000.....
