BEST NEWS EVER! (http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6191556.html?action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;3)

I never thought a sequel would be made to this truly awesome game, but they have given it the go ahead. Yes! I'm so happy right now. Beyond Good & Evil is in the top 10 of my favourite games of all time.

ok.

Hey, thanks for your contribution! :)

I never played the original game, but I heard it was very good. Might check this out if I ever get around to buying an xbox 360. That pig looks spiffy.

Hmm, on several occasions I've thought about getting the original, and I've heard from lots of sources that it was a great game, but I just never got around to it I guess.

I probably will now, though.

Nice! I really enjoyed the first game. The controls were took a bit getting used to since I'm not a console type guy, but definitely worth the buy.

Sweet, this game is always brought up when there's discussion for a Psychonauts sequal.

Person 1- I wish there would be a psychonauts sequal D:
Person 2- There should be a sequal to Beyond Good and Evil too. But it'll probably never happen.

So..that gives Psychonauts hope?!

This is relevant to my interests. I stll need to finish the first one. Only got about half way through.

It's a fantastic game, but since it wasn't a sequel to any famous fanchise, it didn't do well on sells. Let's hope that with the suffix "2" on it's name, it actually sells well.

If this game will be anything like BG&E 1 I will definitely pick it up.

Oh well, if it's completely different I'd pick it up too. I love this game :D

Don't play this one first. Go and buy the original now in preperation for this one. Trust me, you won't regret it.

OH MY GOD!

My guess is that this is a FMV cutscene, meant to hint at the gameplay mechanics. Dear Lord, please let this be real. O.o

I heard this one will be nothing like the original. They said the first one didn't sell very well so they are making this one casual.

This will be rubbish. The first one didn't sell well because of poor advertising. Not because it wasn't what people wanted, but because they didn't hear about it.

If its anything like that video leXX just posted, it will not be rubbish.

It certainly looks convincing. Besides some unorthodox camera movements and some better-than-usual animations and motion blur, it looks a lot like a video game. It might be a target render a la Killzone 2, but if it's actually in-game, then that would be a big step forward in terms of quality.

I couldn't get that to work. :(

I do hope it is good. I was just going by an article I read on www.computerandvideogames.com/.

No BG&E2 at E3:

I've spent much of today booking meetings for E3, 'cause I'm just that diligent. One such call was to Ubisoft, which has quite a few big games in its hopper, including Splinter Cell, Assassins Creed 2 and Avatar (the Cameron one, not the Air Bender one). Oh, and one other game that we haven't seen much of since Ubidays last year (or have we?).

Yes, good ol' Beyond Good and Evil 2, a fan favorite that folks are pretty much dying to see. So I asked, innocently enough, whether I could make an appointment to see the game. The answer from the representative at Ubi was, "We're not doing any BG&E stuff at E3."

They don't 100% rule out the possibility that it'll make some sort of appearance during the Ubi press conference (On that, saying: "Don't expect it."), but the fact that they're not booking separate appointments for it seems to say, pretty clearly, that it won't be playable at this year's E3, either in front of or behind closed doors.

Bummer news, to be sure, but at least we have Ezio to keep us company.

Sadly, I wouldn't count on it. It may go the way of Duke Nukem Forever.
