Hi all,

I want to make a custom skin for pmhh01. I want to add a scar to on eye. But I can't If I use Photoshop or GIMP and I do a scar on the eye, on the model in the game, the scar will appear on the other side too.
So I need help, a tutorial or a program that lets me do this: one scar on one eye, not at both.

The only wat that I can think of to do this is:

1) Learn Gmax/NWmax or 3DSmax.
2) Import the model for the head, then add the scar as a separate entity.

Heads seem to be tricky, so search out the various threads on the subject.

I know how to create/edit with Gmax, but how do I import the head model and how do I skin it live?

You have to get the NWMax plugin, and import the mdl file as an ascii.

Then, with the model open in GMax, you just have to skin in Photoshop or whatever and save the texture to see the results.

I think that the easiest thing to do (though complicated) would be to detach the part of the face that you want there to be a scar as a clone, then UV map it and create the scar texture in your photo editing program, then move the scar piece out a nanometer. But, you'll have to use Settoken's method of adding geometry, which requires hex editing. Another alternative would be to edit the texture and the UV map to be asymmetrical.

Yeah well the second option is what I intended to do in the first place, but I have no ideea how to do that...
