View Full Version : Underwear model as armor in TSL

Hi I have been trying to make a mod that uses the underwear .mdl .mdx as armor. I cant seem to figure out how to do it.

I saw that Kristy Kistic made what I was tryng to do as a mod for Bastila in Kotor I , but even looking at those files I cant figure out how to do it in TSL..Help please.

More or less I want to make skin tight armor using the underware .tga file because its the easyest to reskin for me.

You could either a) copy the underwear models to the Override folder and change the name so it overrides the armor model you want, or b) edit the appearance.2da file to change which model a certain body variation uses (underwear is A, clothes B, robes I and N, J is unused, dancer's outfit is K, and the rest are armors). The former will change every instance of the armor, while the latter will only change it for the characters you want it to.

This should probably be in Holowan Labs, but what ever. The best way would be to make a new base item type that you assign the underwear to use. Copy a base item definition line used by an armor in baseitems.2da, paste it as a new line and make changes to it (If you wish, that is. If you want to use force powers change the value in the itemtype column to 37). Then modify the .uti files you want to use so they use your new base item type.

Hmm, just thought of another way. Instead of altering the .2da file, you could just change the body variation in the .uti. D'oh!

Wasnt really shure where to post as I would love it if some one could make it for me, However I'd love to manage to make it my self lol.

I have been trying to do it for about 2 months ( i must relly suck at this stuff lol ). Heres what i have done so far.

I found the texture and renamed it Skintight01.tga
then found the pfbam.mdl renamed it Skintight.mdl
found the pfbam.mdx renamed it Skintight.mdx

now I copied those to the override then made a .UTI for them.
( after creating a baseitem.2da entry )

When I try to use it it has the texture I want, but has the wrong shape..comes out looking like the N_Comm outfit..wtf.
