First of all,Welcome to Holowan Laboratories,Hope you will get help from the great modders around here.Not being rude but do you know that the ideas you give will include lot of scripting,modeling and other suff.This will mean a lot of effort and time.And do you have someone else to help you with this or your just alone doing all the things you mentioned.

Secondly,Well, the mod name is The Rise of the New Republic ( It was originally going to be a game but we didn't have approval from LucasArts )
Do you seriously mean that you work for LA or something:drop2:.

Thirdly,what type of ships other than Ebon Hawk are you using and are you using K1 or K2 models and game for this,

1. Yes, I do realize that I need to know how to model script etc. ( I know how to model in GMAX/3DS MAX, I have been doing that for about 1 and a half years.)
2. No, I do not work in or for LA, I was going to ask LucasArts for permission via the mail because they don't do it via E-Mail, but a friend of mine informed me that it could take months before they were to reply back or even get my letter.
3. I am looking at a website that has some ships, I am currently thinking of these two, plus maybe a few others

It is over ambitious :) lol, but I do believe that I can accomplish everything that I said. Not by myself obviously but with help, but there are still a few things that I am working on before I recruit people.
----Things that I have done----
I already have about 3 new lightsabers created. (I do need to UVW Map and texture them still tho.) Creating maps is going to be difficult, but I believe that i can create them I have in the past. The hardest part(s) for me will be - getting used to the functions - animating - dialog.

I like the concept of creating a story mod for what happens in between kotor1 and kotor2.

Are you using Kotor1 or Kotor2 for the Mod?

Here are some suggestions and ideas that I think would be cool to include……….

Have the PC similar to Mical, a student in the force but never was given a master to teach under. These force sensitives would end up on TelosIV. This will allow the character to learn the force at quicker rate vs. a republic soldier who was force sensitive.

I see the PC on a Republic ship landing on Korriban a year after kotor1. In either dark or light out come of kotor1 there was a civil war among the Sith. You can get clues on what happen and who survived.

I see this as a time when the Republic is rebuilding but also the beginning of the Jedi Purge. You can have many Jedi being hunted by these assassins. The Republic is not very helpful to the Jedi do to the Jedi Civil War. The Jedi are on their own as their numbers are hunted down and their allies in the Republic dwindle.

This is when the Sith lords who left Korriban battle for power. You can hint to how the Darth Sion, Traya, and Nihilus came to power over other sith lords. These 3 could be the outcome of your PC defeating what ever enemy you have decided on.

I would include the event of Kattar as a back drop to help move the plot to the next scene.

I have some more ideas….PM if you interested in hearing them.

I will be using KotOR I for this mod, because I do not have K2 for the PC only XBOX. Also thanks for the ideas/suggestions, I think I can incorporate some of these ideas into the mod. Anyone else with suggestions comments questions etc please post them ! :)

Thanks for all the positive comments guys/girls... And any contributions would be appreciated and probably put into the mod :) I am currently working on the first segment of the storyline (with some help.) and also working on the first level and dialog...

1) What would you like to see in this mod?
Well, personally I'd love to see to new areas. I know that's a bit too much to ask for but whatever. Heh. I'm fine with the current weapons and such, new characters and storyline would awesome too.
4) Yes.

"This mod will take place before KotOR II"

How many years before Kotor 2?

Good to hear you're looking forward to this mod. I am creating new levels, planets, weapons, ships?, and characters (NPC's and PCs.) as well as new dialog, scripts, and storyline. I will update the first post now so check there for more info.

Yes, this is a total conversion mod, and yes, it takes place in the same time era, right after KotOR and kind of leads into TSL. :)

Sorry for the long wait for replies, my computer got a virus :( but it's okay now, I deleted it :). But I think I can find a place for some Jawas, since I am not a lot farther with the storyline or anything as I was last week, I think I have just the place for them. :) Thanks for the nice comment as well.
