My favorite NPC...hmm, I'd have to say either the wife on Tatooine who trys to blow up her cheating hubby (yea, I'm wierd :xp:), or the lonely Sith chick in the cantina on Taris. She saved me all sorts of trouble. :D

I take it this is for K1, not K2?

I liked the woman who "lost" her droid on Dantooine. She's my kind of crazy.

Yea, these can be from either game.

Don't ask me why...I just like nemo. His voice actor gave me the impression that he was really knowlegable, wise, old jedi. I really wish he didn't die in the tomb, but was around to aid in the defense of Dantooine.

KotOR I: Uthar Wynn, Mekel, the Republic prisoner that you kill in training, Calo Nord, that Sith Apprentice you meet in the Sith Base on Taris, Davik, and Gadon Thek

KotOR II: Atris, Darth Nihilus, that lonely Onderonian in the Medical Facility on Telos, B4-D4, and the HK-50 that tries to kill you on the Peragus Mining Facility :D

Fun Fact: When I first saw Darth Sion, I thought he was a reborn Darth Malak

Does anyone else like Marl? The only guy to keep work separate from real life. Ice had to keep up her persona, Gerlon was angry that he lost, Duncan was too, and twitch was...well..crazy.

I always thought Gadon Thek's twilek bodyguard was an intriguing character that should have been explored further.

Nemo was sent on the mission to investigate the ruins before you had access. You meet him outside the academy beforehand and find him dead when you enter the ruins.

I guess I like Suvam Tam. Despite he being a coward he's one generous clever inventor who'll always pays you more for stuff than what they're actually worth.

No one has mentioned the Twi'lek in the Onderon cantina who waxed his lekku... O_o

I touched it. Does it counts?

I killed the droid myself.

No, actually, most times I would return it to the owner, but I'm not sure that's the best course of action.

I always kill the droid, even when I'm LS. That idiotic owner of his annoys me. -_-

The part that makes that whole ordeal so satisfying is the fact that you help somebody by blowing their ςΠιτ up.

I like the droid and i kill it because i feel sorry for it. It should find love with another droid...not its crazy owner:D

thats a little sick.

@Ctrl Alt Del: Suvam Tam kinda cool. I always visit him twice. at the beginning and the end. the beginning to sell all the useless crap I get from taris, and at the end, to sell anything I don't need (that way I can buy med packs and computer spikes!).

Whats so sick about it? HK-47 is in love with slaughtering things. so why can't the dantooine droid find love with another droid?

mattig89ch
11-20-2008, 12:01 PM
Woopsie, didn't mean to type sick. that was my bad. I meant to say that is just wrong.

Primarily because droids don't have emotions, therefore they can't fall in love with anything.

The only reason HK-47 liked what he did, is because Revan made him that way.

Droids have emotions! look at T3-M4, the prototype assasian droid on Korriban, and so many others appeared in the years following the events of KOTOR

mattig89ch
11-20-2008, 01:43 PM
Hang on. The assassin droid tried to kill you, probably out of some misguided attempt at self preservation. And T3 is like R2, they're just droids. If you loose one, you can always replace it, and you can always give it a good memory wipe if you don't like its personality. The only reason, Luke didn't replace R2 is because he became emotionally attached to it.

Emotions are Bio-chemical responses brought upon heightened levels of chemicals in the brain. Droids don't have this, therefore they can't have emotions.

Edit: this would be a great poll, can droids have emotions?

TKA-001
11-20-2008, 04:29 PM
No, they can't. The closest they can come is simulating them, and they can only simulate them if they are programmed to.

Hands down, Yuthura Ban. She did more to explain the Sith in five minutes than Lucas did in five movies. She even got you to understand the logic behind their apparent madness.

She was such a compelling and charismatic character, and I very much wish she could have joined the party or had her story expanded on.

The droid on korriban did have emotions. it grew to love peace, the only reason it attacks you is because you were to noisy and it went after you. I'm such a peace lover, i spare its life every time.

Cheveron, its obvious we're not going to agree here. And this thread is kinda going off track, so whats say we agree to disagree?

You know, I still find valid points to her argument of why emotions are tools to be harnessed, in every day life.
