View Full Version : Way to Get ATAT AI to fire long range?

I have increased the ATAT range to huge amounts, and gave it more shots per heat so it resembles the massive amount of destruction the ones in Empire Strikes Back.
My question: How do I get the AI bots to fire from really far? I have increased the lock on range but still they just fire like in the original game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the Weapon's ODF, there'll be parameters like:
MinRange = ""
OptimalRange = ""
MaxRange = ""
That controls the AI usage.

i tried to increase those but it didn't fire any futher

Okay, I'm assuming that you increased the range using the ordnance file, right? The distance a weapon can fire is determined by
Velocity = ""
Lifespan = ""
Those two, multiplied together give you distance.
(As in D=rt)

I increased the life span to 40 and velocity to 230
I also increased range to 10000
neither did any good with the AI, I mean I can fire acros the map but no one else does...any ideas?

OK...since I'm not that experienced with modding, I'll recommend that you go HERE (http://www.gametoast.com/). They're very helpful for beginners, and I guarantee that they'll be able to answer your questions.

If you're who I think you are, then should this question not go in the SWBF I Modding and Editing section? This is for BF1 Redemption, right?
