"a place where more civilized people threaten to send their children if they misbehave."

That made me laugh. ^^

Yep, and it is about time...

Looks good - it will be nice to have an all-new planet to explore. Here's hoping for many, many more!

But...why do they call it merely 'Hutta', I wonder?

I suppose BioWare isn't too well versed in canon. Either way, it looks pretty good, although it's close proximity to Nar Shaddaa might make the plot seem similar to KotOR II's iteration of that planet. Either way, the stylized realism really seems to shine with the Hutts: they look fat, vile, and general unappealing: Just like they should be.

The article explains it. "Current Underworld slang has shortened the name to a simple ‘Hutta’—a place where more civilized people threaten to send their children if they misbehave"

Huh. Fair enough - a little odd, but whatever. Adding 'Nal' must cost more money...:xp:

Anyhow, it should be an intriguing world, seeing it has had so much mention and so little screen time. I hope the Evocii get a look-in at some point, too.

Maybe Ryloth will be next? Hsskor/Trandosha? I would think Nar Shaddaa will be a given if Nal Hutta is in.

Ryloth would be cool.

Hoepfully they wil add new planets in the future. I mean: when the game is out already, they add new content through DLC/Expansions/Updates....

And a 'Burn Robes' option. :xp:

Just imagine the sort of quests...dark side especially. I can see Mafia: Star Wars happening on this planet!

Maybe the in the timeframe of the KOTOR era, Hutta hasn't been given the Nal part yet...

Um, I think Atton referred to Nal Hutta as the "arm pit of the galaxy", in Kotor2.

Nice theory, but no. Nal Hutta is meantioned in Kotor 2 with it's complete name.

The article explained that it's smuggler slang of the time. Which most people seem to be using as well.

I can see people shortening it down in speech, especially if Nar or Nal are articles of speech (like a, an, or the) rather than nouns. People who live in New York City call it "New York" or just "the City", they don't usually use the full name. Kansas City gets shortened down to KC, Indianapolis to just 'Indy', and so on. I can see Nal Hutta being shortened down to just 'Hutta' in everyday speech.

Good point Jae. When I lived in Corpus Christi Texas, it was pretty well just called Corpus.

Kinda funny thought on that... It translated to Body of Christ... There was a Los Angeles class submarine that got designated Corpus Christi. People got upset about it, because the warship was named after the body of Christ, so it had to be renamed The City of Corpus Christi. Yet The USS Los Angeles didn't have to be renamed even though it was named after The Angels.

Nal Hutta supposedly translated to Glorious Jewel. I could see dropping "Glorious."

Looks interesting, but wasn't Nal Hutta always touted as a place no-one except the Hutts would want to go?

I thought that was why Nar Shadaa was the focal point of the system.

I'm guessing Bioware is trying it's best to present new environments. Hence the new planet Tython, Coruscant post-sacking (probably with a much more different atmosphere) and so on. We already saw Nar Shaddaa, time to taste the Glorius Jewe-- the Jewel.

I hope they show Dantooine next. I'm a sucker for that place.

Oh! I've always wanted to visit this planet since it was mentioned in TSL. Looks very awesome! What I don't understand is the holographic dancers in the cantina on such a slave-driven planet. Looks good so far, though.

@^
I'd rather see planets that haven't already been used in past games. -.- I think OR could use some originality. Dantooine has already been in both KotORs anyway.

Nedak

Of course orginality is great, but visiting such iconic places makes my mouth water.

I've always loved the look of Dantooine. ... Well atleast on KOTOR. SWG's Dantooine is horrible imho.

I would also like to see Tatooine, as far as any other iconic planets go.

For this planet, I hope that there is environmental damage so that you have to wear a gasmask of some type.

I'd take an apartment on Coruscant in a heartbeat, Manaan would have to have some sort of automated anti-Fishy weapon mounted somewhere! :D

I wonder how much we'd be expected to pay in-game for a house on Hutta? (If that is how things like that work...) I think any more than 100 credits for the Palace is pushing it.
