Alright, I created a model of a DC-17m with Wings3D.
I exported it as .3ds
Imported the mdl of a blaster rifle in gmax
Merged the DC-17m
Adjusted the DC-17m in scale, direction and position.
Added the muzzle and stuff on the Deece.
Deleted the blaster rifle

So, now I tried to figure out how to export the DC-17m as mdl

How the hell do I do that?

link the rifle to the aurora base (the box under the weapon), click the aurora base, and click the export as goem button. this will make a mdl file. Open up mdlops, find your new .mdl file, and click 'read and write'. This will make a new set of model files (mdl and mdx)

Now, rename the files with a new number (say blah_blah_025.mdl/mdx) (Do not change anything but the number), make your uti file, and put everything into your override folder.

Or you could follow this tutorial (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/info/WepModelA)

The tutorial didn't really help, but your quick advice was very useful, thanks.
Now all I have to do is create a uti and try the bloody gun.

But it was a good nutshell.
And the pics didn't help, as I don't use the same program as they used.
