Hi,

I am eager to play good old TIE-FIGHTER again (I remember playing the floppy install version back in 1995/96) and have some questions:

1) Are there any actual LucasArts releases of the collector editions available (in the UK)? Or better have a look on ebay?
2) Are there any problems running TIE-FIGHTER and/or X-Wing on Vista and/or W7? What did you do to get the games run? I have a 64bit AMD CPU and an ATI HD4890 gpu.

Thanks in advance... and may the force be with you!:thmbup1:

The best bet for Windows Vista/7 is the X-Wing Collectors Series, but keep in mind you'll need the compatibility fix on LucasFiles (http://www.lucasfiles.com) to run it with hardware 3D video acceleration. If you have the 64-bit version of Vista (and maybe Windows 7), you'll also need the alternative MSI installer (http://www.markusegger.at) in order to install the game. In any case, you'll have to look for copies on Ebay or something, b/c they've long been out of retail stores (though if you have something like GameStop in the UK, you might try to find a pre-owned copy there).
