First off i'm going to apologise if this is in the wrong part of the forum, I wasn't sure where the right place to post this was.

Basically, I was thinking of replaying TSL with the TSL_Restored_Content_mod but I was wondering if anyone knows how this compares to Team Gizka's restored content?

To clarify, I'm not looking to start a debate on which is better rather which is more "complete" for lack of a better term or rather which ye might have enjoyed or felt more fufilled by.

*No spoilers for any of these mods within posts please*

Anyway, all input is appreciated. :thmbup1:

I'd say play The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod; if only because Team Gizka's was just a stolen beta which was leaked, and as such it has somewhat questionable ethics as well as containing quite a few game breaking bugs...

Well that's 2 good reasons not to go with the Gizka mod.

Thanks Jon.

Well, I have something to say about that leaked beta... There really aren't too many horrendous bugs remaining in the original leaked build, as I played it through LS/DS M/F multiple times before it was leaked. The real subsequent build was actually buggier ( )

I still do not encourage people to use the leaked mod, because of the fact it was leaked, and that is lame. However, I no longer really care at all about it to tell people not to use it. So, let me tell you a little story....

The leader of the project, after the leak, decided it would be cute to poison the leaked mod by poisoning the "update" that was available at the time from our server. Anyone that downloaded that update was hosed, which still makes me giggle. It was debated hotly in our private forums, and I actually (probably no surprise to some, if not all) agreed with Doucheus.

If you have the original leak, I honestly can't recall if it was b10 or b11, it should be mostly fine, with the exception of the Genoharadan, and DS issues on Nar Shadaa.

The Geno stuff can be fixed, and Nar Shadaa in general, by being removed. The weakest restoration of TSLRP was forcing this contrivance into the mod.

The idea that the mod was "severely broken" was a result of guys like me trying to scare you out of playing it.

I am not sure if anyone from our crew has told this story, so if it is old news, I apologize. I know I have hinted at the poisoning numerous times.

It's funny I actually checked for their website and it's gone! I did a google search which brought me to different forums where the the general sentiment is that the Dashus guy isn't going to finish his mod. (which was originally a team of 8 which are now gone, Apparently the guy's not very popular)

Ooooh the Drama!

Better to just leave that one alone, it has been discussed ad nauseum.

I just wanted to clarify a little misinformation about the quality of the leaked mod. It was outstanding, except for what wasn't done.

TSLCRM has to be, at this point, the more satisfying mod to play, because you can actually play the whole thing! It more or less works, which to me is enough said. DarthStoney and zbyl2 deserve a lot of credit!

IIRC it was b8. Don't know if that affects the level of bugginess.

See, I've never played the leaked Beta, but I have heard from others who did that they ran into game-breaking bugs, that they had to fix with KSE... I hadn't based my opinions on anything more than that; I'm somewhat oblivious generally to what happens on the TG boards, unless some controversy, involving either LF - SW:K or KotOR Files is pointed out to me.

Oh, it was not fully functional! You are correct about that, and I was certainly not trying to correct your post! It just seemed like I needed to post on the subject, almost like a cleansing.

Whew, glad that's over :D

almost like a cleansing.
When I need a cleansing I usually opt for a bran muffin! :p

Well i'm playing TSLCRM at the moment and it's good so far.

Who knows if the TG ever gets done (i've been aware of it since 07, I think) i might try it out. As long as it has game-breaking bugs it dosen't sound like it'd be worth the install yet imo.

An appropriate implied metaphor, given the subject matter. :D

Alright so i'm starting TSL for the... 5th or 6th time and this will be my first time using TSLRCM.

So here's my question: I have noticed a few mods that restore paticular parts of the game whether that be some dialog here and there or something a bit bigger.
What i'm wondering is how many (if any) of these smaller restored Content mods clash with TSLRCM?

If you know of any that don't clash that you feel are a good addition to the game please recommend them! :)
