View Full Version : [WIP] Tatooine Jobs Mod

Hi there,
I am quite new to the scene of modding but have been tinkering around with scripts, skins and item editing. I feel quite comfortable with it so I have decided to make my first proper mod.

I have always thought that Tatooine was a bit boring and there was not much to do. So I decided to make this mod to add better and more things to do.

I have added a Jawa to the Czerka Office who works for Czerka and offers you jobs that Czerka don't have the time to do.


He will offer you three jobs which add three new quests including journal entries and datapads.

In the Cantina is a Czerka Rodian who will offer some Czerka supplies including some rare items on the black market. You have the option of turning him over to Czerka or buying off of him. You do not get DS points for buying and you can turn him in after buying off the black market.

If you opt to turn him over to Czerka he becomes hostile.


When returning to speak with the Jawa I have used conditional scripts that once you have spoken to the Jawa once an option appears allowing you to claim rewards on jobs. I then use more conditional scripts to determine what jobs have been completed.


He will thank you and give you whatever he offered you at the beginning. If you ask him to explain about a job you have already completed then :


I am still working on implementing the other jobs but I know what will happen with them.

A Czerka Officer was on patrol near the Sand People Enclave and has now gone missing. Once you enter the Sand People enclave his corpse will be in one of the rooms.

The Sandcrawler that was ambushed was carrying an expensive custom made weapon for a high ranking Czerka Office. (nowhere as good as a lightsaber but very good as melee weapons go) It is no where to be found in the wreckage. A number of other stuff is missing but Czerka don't care about it. In the back of the Krayt dragon cage will be a pile of items taken from the Sandcrawler wreckage including the sword needed to complete the quest.

Its coming on nicely and has presented a number of challenges. Hence why I have been posting a lot for help on the forums lately but as it is my first mod I would like to get some early feedback.

Looks good TB12...I think you picked a good way to get familiar with the different modding tools and scenarios....I assume you will be using the generic alien vo's for the jawa and rodian...keep up the good work!

I have completed the Rodian's dialog with generic voiceovers and the jawas is almost done. I just need to add the remaining conditional scripts. I have spawned the corpse so I'd say about 50% finished.

Thanks guys,

I have almost finished the second mission but am having a problem with getting the journal to update after looting the corpse so I might try a slightly different approach where you see the officer starving, he begs you for food but dies immediately.

Quick Update:

I have finished the journal entries and have spawned the missing Czerka Officer who dies on you. I am currently trying to reduce his health to 1 so any help would be appreciated.
